Besides being a brilliant and talented guitarist, Tommy is a kind, happy soul that is always willing to share, critique, and teach others his craft. You can tell that he loves the guitar and interacting with other guitarist no matter what their skill level is. You have inspired many.

Back in 2002 I was at my first Tommy Emmanuel concert near Wolverhampton in the UK. I turned round to see if I could see anyone I knew in the audience and Muriel Anderson was stood right next to me.

With two very different sounding guitars, this is one of my favorite collaborations. Muriel's chord subs are ear candy.
I watched her back in the 90s in oak ridge Tennessee at a coffee shop. She’s great.
Yes she is! I have never heard her play live, but my teacher introduced me to her work back in the 90s. What lovely tone.
I heard Doc Watson introduce her at Merlefest once as his "favorite guitar player!" Good enough for me.

Without a doubt Tommy is one of the greats of our time feel so fortunate to hear him play, his lady friend no slouch either amazing talent.
His ‘lady friend’ is Muriel Anderson, world-class professional guitar performer and first woman to win the National Fingerstyle competition.
Tommy is such a generous musician with amazing sensitivity. Very nice! He just feels like a friend I've yet to meet.
I've seen him twice, and every time after the show I hear lots of people say their going home to burn their guitars!!
Didn’t know it was possible to get this good in just one lifetime, and he was holding back. I figured 3-4 lifetimes at least. Merry Shredmas.

Jerry Jeff Walker wrote a brilliant and timeless melody and lyric and this is a brilliant version. Thanks guys, you gave me chills.
If you are really listening, Muriel may not be the soloist that Tommy is, but I would love to have half the talent she has. Because she just clicked my heals. Play!!!
This takes me back to the late 70s, early 80s when Tommy and Phil used to perform this as a duet in Sydney's pubs and clubs.
And Tommy used to do these great cascading harmonic runs and Phil would play fantastic lead. It was almost like the Emmanuel Brother's signature piece and they would play it quite often as part of their encore.
Not bad for two young brothers in their mid 20s doing pub gigs. And in the middle bracket, Tommy would do his solo fingerstyle pieces.
Chet Atkins did such a great job in transcribing the solo fingerstyle arrangement of this that everyone now plays, and it works so well as a duet piece.

Watching Tommy play is almost as fun as listening to him - stupendous as always. Merry Christmas to you and Muriel, Tommy. I used to play this with my brother Rob, who would do the Jim Stafford version of the old man's voice - talking about his dog, Spider. Always brought a tear to the crowd.

I love hearing Tommy playing with Muriel and also John Knowles. I heard in a Crook and Chase interview that Chet thought he gave Muriel a CGP. At least he thought he gave her a CGP pin.
