love this guy so humble and unassuming responds to comments best of luck 🍀
Damn, thought for sure you were being set up for a robbery in that apt. complex when homeboy wanted you to "drive back around." Lol. When I first started I walked into some hairy situations in housing projects in Queens that thankfully being a native I was able to quickly figure out I was being set up for robbery and took off. Always have your head on a swivel, especially at night my man.
Were you doing deliveries?Where did you leave the food?
I never doubted it. That area I delivered to is a very safe area. If I was in a more shady part of town, then yeah, I might have thought differently lol. But generally speaking, I agree with you about always being cautious
Delivering to projects is always sketchy. I always take out my pepper spray and prepare for the worst whenever I have the misfortune of delivering to a Bronx NYCHA
7:03 did he say "I love you"? XD
Nice video eta
You earned that treat. It just needed it to taste better.
It's crazy that people stopped tipping so abrupt, are the fees so much higher that they won't tip? Or the fact you can't tip in front, also I saw quite few people say they don't want to tip because they get a message that NYC drivers make $30 an hour 😄😄
How it went from 80%+ customers tipping, to less than 10%, I think is largely because the apps have taken that incentive away from customers. I think customers still want to tip, but the apps have made it harder. A drop in 20-30% of customers tipping might be reasonable due to the new mandate, but less than 10% tipping is likely because the apps have made it harder to do so. We might see an increase in tipping as customers figure out the new way of tipping AFTER orders... it's all still new to people. But perhaps less than 10% customers tipping is the new norm? Still new, not sure
@@ETAonTheEUC or they're just ripping us off again
First of all my hats goes off to you because I could never deliver food in NYC let alone on a EUC . It sucks that even with the new pay model the gig workers can't maximize with tips because the app a##holes changed the tip out .I would definitely take my time and work the system to your advantage. I enjoy your content from a small town in Ohio
Beyond money reasons, I am always curious why people "wouldn't do it"? To me, I prefer this over most jobs I've ever had (freedom, flexibility, not dealing with co-workers/bosses/customers, etc). I used to live in Ravenna and Kent, Ohio fyi
@ETAonTheEUC cool I live in Akron...I also Doordash/Ubereats I think doing it in NYC would be harder for me with buildings and traffic that's what I meant I barely make it in my raggedy Lil hood lol
@user-dm3kg7sp4h I can't ride a bike that good (clumsy) let alone in NYC ..I'VE been to NYC alot and get nervous crossing the street....I've driven through Manhattan that was ok.
But the Brooklyn Bridge was not very good 😕
@@prettyhot1traffic is not so bad becuase there is alot of bike lanes in nyc the biggest issue are the cars when they turning left
@@ETAonTheEUC it might just be some people cant adapt you have yo understand 70% of the economy is fake most jobs are not as import as people make them out to be gig work requires you to adapt constantly thats the trade off vs a consistent 9-5 but you cant double your pay in a week just learning the system with a normal job you get a 25 cents raise every 6 months
Like the big alarm sticker but whats that think on the back of euc in the hallway? Looks like a bag of cat litter?
not sure what you mean.. the sticker on my EUC is an alarm sticker
an idea for your mic problem is how bout wear a scarf on your mic or tape a napkin on it to stop the wind?
I bought a wired mic with a fluffy on it. Works well

Tips vs base rate... What is the end customer seeing for overall cost? Did their cost, minus tip, go up under the new rules? If so that's a real incentive to stop tipping, early in the change. If they feel that you are now making a much better wage, maybe they don't feel the need to tip. At the very least, they probably don't understand the formula used to determine how much of that hourly wage you get delivering their food. They may think you're just getting an hourly wage for every hour your out.
Yeah, I think it's likely a combination of everything you said. I do wonder what the customer pays overall compared to the older model where many of them tipped. Are they really paying more now since they aren't tipping? Some people used to tip a considerate amount. I bet many people are paying less due to not tipping. I doubt the apps raised the fees so much that it is more than what many people tipped
Yeah im making nice money late nights on gh, to bad thier ajustment pay is a complete mess😅
As always nice video. dont you have the comander pro any more.
I do, but I don't use it when it's wet outside
back to riding the sherman, is the commander pro to heavy for delivery's?
no, the commander pro is actually quite nice for delivery. Usually I choose the sherman when the weather isn't the best. I only ride the commander pro when there is no chance of rain
@@ETAonTheEUC smart man
what do you do if you forget to get the pin?
There's an option where you can select "can't confirm PIN" and still submit the order
28:56….$176.89 is pretty decent for 1 night of work. Compare to the past, how much would you think you would have made with similar night with per orders? More or less?
It's always hard to answer this question because so many factors go into it. Generally speaking, for the time of year I recorded the video, it's about the same. Tips have been taken away, so it's more or less the same at the end of the day for the season. If the tips were as constant as before, as well as having 30/hr trip time, it would be much better. Winter is always good for food delivery. Summer is always gonna suck in Manhattan
Finally, a perk in the gig economy. Occasional random meals! Truly a mystery as you don't really know what you're gonna get 😆
lol very true. Lately it's almost been a guarantee someone will mess up an order when it's really late on the weekends
What is it that you're traveling on?
An electric unicycle (Veteran Sherman Max)
For me, nothing worse than expecting reasonable yet getting miserable. Chocolate blues.
It's not even the quality of the chocolate that bothers me. It's more the price they want for it. If it were quality chocolate then paying $4 for a tiny bar might be worth it, but the small size and quality of the chocolate is the lowest level lol. I wanted to share that because it bothered me, how petty that might seem... Mr. Beast seems like a good guy being a HUGE philanthropist and all, but damn that price for those chocolate bars is expensive lol
What are you driving?
An electric unicycle
Yo man $24 an hour on the WUC is pretty sweet. I know living costs there is high though. What phone holder you have? Needing something like that.
For this time of year in Manhattan, 24/hr is typical doing food delivery. The phone holder I use is called SinceTop (link to the arm mount I use is in the description under the video)
@@ETAonTheEUC thanks dude totally missed it. Ride safe and happy new year.
You ain't got the media mod bro?
i do, but didn't have a wind cover on it that night
If you're driving a car in outer Queens and you were a cherry picker, the active time model blows the old model away. Why? Ex: On doordash once your AR dipped below 40% you were basically being shadow banned meaning you were receiving no offers nevermind good enough offers to make $20+ an hour. Some days I was making $20 the entire day on DD because I refused to deliver the non stop no tip/low tip offers I was getting. UE was a little better, not much. Old model I barely broke $100 a day now I'm avg $250. Been a game changer. But we'll see how this UE planner thing works. fortunately I live right on the Nassau county border with Queens so I can log on in Nassau and just stroll over to Queens and work on active time.
I pretty much agree with you on what you said. I also experienced a "shadow ban" from DoorDash due to being a cherry picker pre-mandate. If you watched enough of my videos you would have known how much I had an axe to grind with doordash. My worry was never DD or GH changing due to the mandate, but it was always how Uber might change, especially considering I made probably 90% of my earnings with them pre-mandate. But yeah, the new model is beneficial for DoorDash drivers who hated their priority access manipulation BS in the past.
yeah that mrbeast chocolate sucks, total scam
