I'm glad you keep it real. I get tired of seeing these videos on here with these fools (to remain nameless) claiming they're making 10 grand a month *profit* buying shoes at Marshalls and reselling on Amazon FBA or eBay sales, and nonsense like that. You *could* make some decent money but it's not a get rich scheme by any means. Work is work.

One more tip:
Look at Polo style shirts, List them under Golf shirts, they must have a collar. People who play golf have to have a shirt with a collar for the dress code at most country clubs, golfers have money but like anyone they like to save money where they can. Haha I dont believe im giving this stuff up for free.

You should try and set up some of your candy machines at the thrift shops. Collect from your machines while you out there already. Saving that gas money.

Ive been selling on Ebay since 1997. Rule # 1. Don't lose money on shipping. Rule #2. Don't forget rule # 1. LOL ! Great page and good luck!
I do 6 figures a year on eBay. Find your niche and stick with it. Always Always Always Always Always, did I say always? Check the sold comps before purchasing anything! Be sure when you're watching your cash flow when you're starting. Once you can afford it look for wholesale. Be sure to also always account for eBay and paypal fees when you purchase your product. Price correctly. If you purchased something for $1 and the comps are $10 list at $9.99 eat the $3.50 shipping cost. So $1.25 goes to eBay $3.50 for shipping $1 buy cost you profit $4 on your $1 purchase and you have a return customer. Always keep grinding!
I'll be honest, I've been doing eBay for around 10 years now, reselling, but I still get it wrong every now and then, breaking even on some purchases or even losing money on others.
There's no such thing as failures though, only learning experiences 😁
Reyes, you can also look up the exact same item and just got to sell one like this option on the page and it will cut down a lot of listing time. just need to adjust minor things like size if it's not the same size as yours item and compare condition and description to match yours. it will also show up on people search as well specially if you're a starting Ebay account seller.

And shipping labels are worth their weight in gold.
I love these man I just started selling stuff I find on clearance on ebay. I love the style of yours you actually go into detail on how you do things instead of others who say its a step by step and then just go through the steps like we already understand them.
weekends are the WORST for sourcing clothes, you wanna hit them early in the week, i go 2 times A DAY, 2 times a week isnt going to cut it, you need to stop in a store everyday to see what they have, thats the only way youll find the gold mines/ big ticket items

You don’t need a printer. It just makes it easier on you to ship from home. You can write it down. You can schedule to have them pick up from your front door and save gas and a ton of money shipping by printing your label from eBay or pirate ship.com
ALG 07 I average saving 3-5$ printing a shipping label on eBay.

Blu Ray players are really good too, can find them for $10 or less and the good ones are usually sell $50 and up.

Love your hustle buddy. Im 46, a business owner, and a believer in working for everything you get. We never gave our twin sons an allowance etc. We didnt buy them cars. We didnt even allow them to work in the business until they went and got their own job and worked for 1-1/2 years. One bagged groceries, and the other was a cart pusher at a large retailer.
Keep it up man. And just get ready for people one day to judge you for having money...they will have every excuse as to why you can succeed but they cant. Keep your head up and it will absolutely pay off in the long run.

For me Wednesday and Thursday are the best. Everyone is out on Saturday but weekdays people are working. So overall I'd say weekdays before 5pm, but you really never know when they are going to put out something amazing.

Tuesday and Friday mornings are the best! Goodwill puts out new products that they got over the weekend on Tuesday. Friday is good because they prepare for the weekend.
I'd invest in a thermal printer. It'll save time, tape, and you never have to buy ink again.
I remember the glory days of eBay when it was fun to buy and great to sell on. Back in 2007 I was working part time as an assistant for a guy running an eBay store out of his home garage. We mainly sold big electrical items... plotter printers, oscilloscopes, security cameras and miscellaneous items. He was pulling in about $30k in sales before deductions, but that was still pretty dam good for a guy in his garage. Quickly tho we started seeing the changes that was causing eBay to not be fun anymore. Selling fee increases, nickle and diming for every selling feature.

You can buy half sheet mailing labels that will fit in your printer
Lacoste is a good buy. I've gotten about $30-$50 for used shirts. Best day for goodwill here is Monday when talking clothes. Sunday is the half off day so Monday they take the old stock out that didn't sell and replace with the new. They roll carts out throughout the day so Tuesday is good also. When it comes to hard goods like electronics and stuff, any day could be a winner. The more you go, the better your chances.

I have been selling on eBay for 6 months. I sold $1000 last month... my profit was $400. Here is what I have learned... The more you list, the more you sell. Optimize 3 places. Sourcing, Listing, and Shipping. Have a dedicated space. Keep shipping supplies in stock. It's worth it to get a store... even a basic one. List at least one thing every day. Hope that helps.

When you are just getting started the cheaper items will help you build up your feedback so that you can sell the more expensive items easier and for more since you will be seen as more trustworthy.

BUT REYES! Put in some Thank You cards so you will get positive feedback. That way your feedback will grow and people will not be afraid to buy from you....
I completely agree. Say something along the lines of "Thank you for the business, please leave some feedback for we value your buying experience"
I think if it weighs over 13 ounce, you are supposed to take it inside the Post Office, you don't have to wait in line though, they usually have a spot at end of the counter for drop offs, I just hold up a package, like raising hand in class to get their attention and let them know I'm dropping some packages. Another thing is it will get processed faster, and on the truck sooner - usually delivered faster, which is always better! . Just a tip to keep your packages from getting held up and processed faster.

As your bank roll grows you should create a sole proprietor for each business and have a separate biz bank account for each. But as you start i agree with Rey, keep it simple.

Everyone can tell you the best day for them. The fact is there is no best day for one or the other. It's when they put out new stock. Goodwills put out new stock throughout the day and you can see this from workers loading the shelves as your shopping. Some smaller thrift stores though just go through their stuff when they want and get it out in stock.
If you start thinking when is the best day and then decide it's Tuesday, how many finds do you think you could miss the other six days of the week. I had my own eBay forum over 10 years ago and someone said not to go to thrift stores late in the day. I always went when I passed one no matter what time. So I did a test. I started thrifting on a Thursday at 3p.m. I was able to hit four thrift stores before close and bought over 200 dollars worth of stock.
My selling point is a solid 3-6 x over purchase on average. So this was 600 to 1200 worth of inventory. Everything I bought sold within 2 weeks. Now with that said I don't like going on the weekends just because of the crowd headaches, doesn't mean it's a bad time, just not a good time for me is all. Good Luck.

Reyes, clothes are good but diversify at the thrift stores. VCRs (Sony, 4 head, stereo) - $30-50 profit. Toys, games, printer ink, books, video games, old software especially new in box. Also look over older metal tools. I found a $1.99 tool box that is from the 1920s. I plan on listing it for $200. There's always money in a thrift store. Just have to find it.

The best day in my area is Monday Morning when they open.
I've seen them in there Sunday night after they close early stocking inventory.

I recommend just doing a business account right away. It's free to do and allows you to put in more information (like your EIN and SS #) to allow ebay and paypal to see that you're trying to be a legitimate seller, which in turn allows you to receive your profits faster. You get your money in 30 days with a personal account (at least for me). And by just myself upgrading to business and putting in some basic info, I get my money in about a half a month. That will further improve as you get more sales and positive feedback.

Look for golf clubs, they are collectible but need to be in fair good condition. Dont but if they are trashed. Some go for big money because they may not make them anymore. You will probably pay a few bucks and sell for way more on eBay.

Reyes on the hustle!! When you start you have a little bit of listings/inventory but once you keep reinvesting and getting more inventory you will start selling more. I started with a box of video games now I have stacks of bins. Once you start getting that momentum going money will just keep rolling in. Also once you start getting a good amount of packages a month a stamps.com account is good. You get padded envelopes and different sized boxes that you sometimes won’t be able to get at the post office shipped to your house for free! It’s free shipping material!!!! As to your question to when is it a good day to go there isn’t an definite answer it all depends. Sometimes you won’t find nothing at all sometimes you’ll find one or two or sometimes you’ll strike gold . It’s part of the game and hunting. I will say go when there are specials or holiday sales to get stuff that was little pricey cheaper if your lucky to find something good. I try to avoid weekends at thrifts and do yard garage sales. I’ll maybe go after yard sales but I say that because people have weekends off work and thrifts have more people searching on weekends. I hit about 15-20 thrifts a week but mostly during the week because people are either at school or work during the week during the day . Just dropping some free 99 knowledge here keep hustling Reyes.
