Thats normal for goalkeepers. If you wanna know why goalkeepers never get substituted - even when one of them is a penalty expert it's because they hate it. Gary Lineker made the point Bobby Robson would never dare substitute Peter Shilton when Louis van Gaal, as manager of Holland, ordered Tim Krul to be on pitch for penalties in the 2014 World Cup - which the Dutch won.
Ederson, after his childish tantrum when Pep took him off towards the end of last season alone I’d kick him out. He’s not even the best goalkeeper at the club. If he’s agitating get him out fast!
Just to highlight what JSGC said, Ederson has 2 years on his contract. City will expect £££ and £25m is the fee if he'd one year on his contract. City win a lot of trophies and £ return per starting XI player per season is ~ £20m or more. Hence City'll not sell, because he's worth £40m or more over two years.
Totally agree with you brother we’ve got to stop letting players leave on the cheap it’s not we’re desperate for money &people need to learn if you sign a contract then it’s up to the club, eddy is class &wouldn’t like to see him go but let’s be honest you can’t blame em with the money on offer it is a job after all,if there willing to pay crazy wages then they clearly should pay up to get the players too we’re not a feeder club 👍
@@johnrowland6144 Wasn’t it £15m plus £4m in add ons? In any event he wasn’t great for Burnley last season and Muric replaced him permanently in the second half of the season. He had got a good record overall and would make a decent No.2 to Ortega.
I have been saying for a couple of months that City should target James Trafford as No.2 to Ortega if Ederson leaves. He was dropped by Burnley last season after a few mistakes but he’s definitely got the potential to become our No.1. I agree with you about respective values as there’s at least £20m difference between Ederson and Trafford.

Couldn't agree more and I have been fighting with other Blues over this since the transfer window last season. I have lost all confidence in the board from the debacle that last summer. From a GA perspective alone, we lost 65GA btwn Gundo, Mahrez and KDB out 1/2 the season and the combined GA with the 4 incoings last season was 25 meaning we started the season with a deficit of 40GA. Then they decide to sell Palmer in the final few days of the window when we are in dire need of creativity and goals AND our small squad is made even smaller with his sale. Where is the logic behind that one? Last season's squad was the smallest Pep has managed since coming to MC. Then...no suitable Rodri cover and a panic buy with Nunez As for this season, still NO cover for Rodri, no suitable replacement for Gundo (Kimmich couldve filled both roles well, but that makes too much sense, and so they're chasing Bruno G and for a fee that NU wont accept). Now we're letting Ederson go and replacing him with a GK we sold last season who wasn't good enough to get in the squad? We allegedly have 300m+ of FFP room for transfers and now the board has decided to adopt a strategy of sell to buy?!? FFS what the hell is happening here? All the other clubs are in the top 6 are strengthening to various degrees, and what have we done? Savio which is a good first step, so fair play to City for him, but will Pep even play him? Meanwhile, the transfer window is already beyond the 1/2 point, and our most glaring need is still not filled. I am not expert, but is it not a good bad idea to leave signing players until the end of the window? The selling clubs have more and more leverage with selling players bc they have the clock on their side. What are we doing here?!?!?!?

Finally, done it to encourage JSGC to keep the City transfer updates rolling.
I noticed last season when Ortega replaced Ederson that there wasn’t any acknowledgment between them. Looks like their relationship has broken down.

Ederson's the best goalie in the league and is worth £50M all decade long....
Just get Jose Sa or Keon Casteels
One of them a least for a backup
