This is on Arcade 1up for not making a store to buy tables. Zen was probably like, What are we doing here?
I would love to be excited for this news, but I am pretty frustrated that the Zen tables won't also be coming to the original ALP. It feels like a slap in the face to the loyal ALP owners like myself who have bought the original table + the control panel + the vibs board + the bitpixel + every pinball pack! Now I have to drop another $1100 to $1500 if I want to play these new tables? I know I can play them via my connected pc and steam, but imo, they just don't play as nicely as native tables do.
I'm buying. It will be my first AtGames product.
Suddenly the Legends 4k pinball seems a whole lot more interesting than it once did. This is a massive move and the new table art looks great, especially compared to what AtGames machines normally look like. I was fortunate enough to get a Legends pinball super cheap and am tempted to sell it and trade up.
excited to see Addams fam on Legends 4k pin, I'm going to pre-order it and sell my LP.
I never doubted Zen would eventually end up on AtGames given their move to Unreal Engine but my question is, will the replicated tables be just like the real thing or will players be forced to endure their extra animations they love to add. Like you Mike, I would prefer the themed artwork to be the exact same as the real thing but they did do a good job with their custom Adams Family art. Also sad we Canadians and all non-Americans are being left out of the pre-sale special. Still have my fingers crossed they listened when I requested selling on TSC. A1Up sells on TSC so AtGames should as well.
You can turn ball trails and the animations off in the settings. Still doesn't fix the horrible flipper lag right now due to screen refresh rate. Unfortunately the only way I think this will be fixed is to rip out the stock screen and replace it.

Though I plan on being about 95% OTG, I will buy their table packs mainly to support their business model. Now need to plan on selling my current ALP.
I cannot wait to see the comparisons between the OTG version of FX Adams family and the native cabinet version of FX Adams family. I'm guessing there's going to be a substantial difference in the visual quality. Since this cabinet is running a Rockport 3588 chip which is the same chip in a $100 orange Pi 5. This chip can only handle emulation up to PlayStation 2. I'm guessing the native tables are rendered at 720p resolution or below and then upscaled to 4k.

@@alphacat9302that's my feeling too. I have a a virtuapin 4k and can play all these games anyway but I wanted a machine specific to pinball fx.
Michael, can you confirm the rumor that AtGames is partnering with Sierra Entertainment and creating a Leisure Suit Larry game cabinet?

It's a must to wait for the Collectors edition that are coming a couple months later. They will only do 5,000 tables per each collectors edition pinball. It will prolly come with upgraded buttons, plunger and high end graphics wrap, upgraded topper the works. I will wait for the Collectors edition of Mars attacks, Monster bash, Godzilla, Star wars or Elvira tables. Cheers

When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was going to say AtGames bringing 4K pinball to Cleveland Gaming Classic. Then you crushed my dreams again.
It includes the Natural History pack, and Zaccaria Volume 5 with all the Deluxe tables. Simple🙂

That pinball 4k looks sick I'm getting FOMO I do have a question the Adams Family showing advertised as Standard Edition it looks really good then they say (Wagner Tech Talk) showing going to have Legends Collector Edition (CEP) sku from 2023 to 2025 15 other cabinets I wander whats the difference between Standard Edition and the Collectors Edition
Im not sure that not information that has been shared with me. Maybe that one includes the enhanced haptics kit?
@@MichaelBtheGameGenie Thats an excellent guess, I bet the CE might have the SFF included, or it could be just like Addams Family but limited to 5k and more games or both!
And now it will probably only be seconds until Arcade1up releases its 4k Pinball. And if they're ahead of their time again, they'll probably have ball-rolling haptics, 3D glasses option, more Solanoids, interchangeable side artwork and exclusively programmed original Pinball implementations 😀😀😀

Unless I missed it, I can’t tell if the topper lights up. That could be something they can add for the next themed ALP’s if it isn’t….though I’m sure a 3rd party would make something cool.
Anywho, passing on this as Addams Family isn’t one I want. Can’t wait to see what else comes out.
If only Zen could do rock band themed tables….

Can i ask a newb question? Im just getting into video pinball. Will this machine be able to play pinball classics (like Medieval Madness, etc) or will it be limited to the Adams Family and the games listed? If so is it a subscription or a store, or do people have to hack it somehow? Thanks for any insight.

Had an interesting thought come to me regarding the Artwork for the new AtGames 4K VPin. I'd really like to hear what you think of it.
First and foremost, I'm with you when it comes to preferring the original Pinball art for the Addams Family. But then it got me to thinking about Stern and how they have multiple art packs for most of their Pinball releases. It then gave me pause to think, well, AtGames may have different artwork than the original classic pin, but considering it as a separate skew of Addams Family pinball, and the art looks great to me, my headspace starting thinking, I might consider AtGames doing a Stern with this different art package. My thoughts then went to Stern's new anniversary release of Jurassic Park. Different art package than the original release, but still looks great. And I know you've been psyched for a possible re-release of Stern's Stranger Things, but it might have a different art package than their first release. I thought, would Michael B. be ok with a new Stranger Things if it had a different skinned art package?
And again, I'm like you, it would've been nice to have Addams Family come with that classic original arcade artwork, but since Stern has kind of got me used to seeing different artwork on different skews of their pins, when I saw AtGames Addams Family, it got me feeling a Stern vibe.
I'd really be curious on what you think about my fun observation/revelation. Deep thoughts :)

Deep Thoughts lol. I mean you are right. I'm fine with this art I just think there was a missed opportunity. Stranger Things its mostly the playfield and table i want exactly the same
Here's to the other AtGames skins (the ones for real tables) to be identical to their original arcade counterparts. Still love the look of my Arcade1Up Attack From Mars :)

Honestly I would only get excited if I heard a list of upcoming of real classic games.
I saw the info commercial on it and that pinball table wasn't the final product. I'm hoping there is a way of getting the "Refresh Rate" to 120 instead of 60. I don't care about the Art work I care about the visuals on the machine. What good is 4k if the pinball has a comet tail on it every time is get bounced around? Maybe I can swap a monitor out in it to get a refresh rate of 120?
Not likely? Due to the single board computer and it’s limited processing power… replacing the monitor and higher refresh rates need to be pushed by a computer.. more frames and more pixels will require more computing power.. sounds like they will be porting over the console and pc versions and “dumbing” them down to run more efficiently on the single board…
Unfortunately you have to rebuy everything again. I also heard the new firmware is killing Coinops on the ALU and ALP!

The main problem is the price also, how much of pinball fix tables are gonna be available such as Williams tables. Also not using the actual cabinet artwork. That artwork was simple and great I don’t like this new photoshop style they have

That is exactly what they're doing. It's a Rockport 3588 chip, which is the same chip in the $100 orange Pi 5. Nowhere to do. They say that it is rendered in 4k or is native 4K. They only state that the playfield screen is 4K resolution. More than likely this is a modified version of FX with less models and animations. it is probably rendered at 720p or lower and then upscaled to 4K.
@@leodonnelly5427 At that price, you can’t really complain. I suppose you can just swap in a better computer, but how are the interfaces these days? This caught me by surprise; and I hadn’t done my research yet on a full-size 4K Vpin.

Atgames and Zen need to work on their artwork, just not good IMO. Not a fan of the controller pad panel either.
Shocking news is if Atgames fixes their firmware problem otherwise I'm junking mine and telling everyone to avoid Atgames.
Which one? The 5.71 Optional Update? If it's the 5.70 Update that's on the third party developers to update their software to work with the new firmware
