There are at least 4 different Scooby-Doo universes. We can say that definitively because Fred has at least three different sets of parents.
    1. In "Scooby-Doo Pirates Ahoy!" Fred's parents are Skip and Peggy Jones. This movie is implied to take place in the same universe as "What's New Scooby-Doo?" which is itself implied to be in the same universe as "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo." This will be known as the "Coolsville Universe."
    2. In "Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated" Fred was raised by Fred Jones sr., but it turns out his biological parents are Brad Chiles and Judy Reeves. This is the "Crystal Cove Universe."
    3. In "Be Cool Scooby-Doo," Fred's father is Donald Jones, so this can't fit in the same timeline as Crystal Cove. This is the "Be Cool Universe."
    4. The theatrical movies are hard to match with the others, so it's probably easiest to make them their own timeline, but Scooby-Doo Monsters Unleashed could potentially fit into the Coolsville timeline with a bit of fudging.
Most of the other Scooby-Doo works are ambiguous enough that they could be compatible with any of these universes. Most of the direct to video films are open-ended, but a few of them make broad references to past events.

@@wakawakatakeover What I meant to say was that Fred Sr and Brad and Judy all count together for the Crystal Cove timeline. You're right about the timeline getting altered at the end, but there is still only one Crystal Cove universe at a time. When Crystal Cove B (The Sunniest Place on Earth) comes into existence, Crystal Cove A ( The Most Hauntedest Place on Earth) just stops altogether.

I vaguely recall a post circulating around tumblr that was discussing how for a certain picture it felt like someone was missing. However, I believe a professional artist hopped in and stated that it was simply the posing of the characters in that photo that made it feel like someone was missing. I believe it was the way that Daphne was leaning that gave the impression that there should have been someone between her and Fred.

EDIT: If you decide to make a part three, you should talk about the show Super Friends! The Batman/Robin crossover episode in The New Scooby Doo Movies served as a backdoor pilot for the series!
Super Friends introduced a character called Apache Chief which would later be used as inspiration for Tye Longshadow in Brandon Vietti’s 2011 series Young Justice
Then, in 2014 Brandon Vietti would go on to direct the first Scooby WWE movie, which featured a cameo of four characters from Young Justice watching the WWE match on TV, suggesting that Scooby Doo, WWE, and Young Justice all take place in the same universe ahaha

Also, not so much forgotten, but there is a fifth live action Scooby doo movie that focuses on exclusively Daphne and Velma. The 6th member idea is good, but you need to make it more of a Mandella effect situation. Nothing overtly creepy should take place. Just describe a character and what dynamic they had in the show. Make it feel like a real thing, and try and use existing facts as your groundwork so that when people look up the character, they have a trail of bread crumbs to look through. Scrapped character designs. Original but discarded names. Characters that appear in some of those carbon copy shows that were made. Stuff like that.

The three timelines theory I know is kinda different tho.
There are two parallel universes originally, one with real ghosts and monsters and one without them (often separated by shaggy's shirt) that sometimes merge together god knows why (my theory is the 13th ghost but don't quote me on that).
The first one is where most of the shows are. It's said in MysInc that "they don't talk about scrappy" meaning that the live action films (where he is one of the villains and dies (I think)) are canon and explains why no-one wants to talk about him and why he stops appearing in the series. And are also shown the many costumes of other series' monsters on the museum, meaning that the other "grown up" series are also situated in that timeline. Here there are also recurring side characters from two completely separated series (ex, hex girls), meaning that those series are in the same timeline.
The second universe is the real monsters one, often having red t-shirt shaggy and scooby as protagonists. In this universe, Velma and Fred are retired from ghost hunting, Daphne comes and goes, and scrappy is not a villain but a secondary main character. Each series has its own temporary new character (the ghosts/monsters, the 13th ghost kid, etc). The ones in this universe are mainly the shaggy werewolf, the 3 ghosts, the vampire race or smth and the monster school films, together with the monster family series (don't remember name) and the 13 ghosts one. I like this universe cause Daphne kicks ass.
The four original films, are when these two universes intertwine, mostly shown by the cyberspace film (where the two gangs from each universe meet), but also by having real ghosts as main antagonists. But there are also other moments outside these where the two universes temporary merge (ehem live action movies ehem).
Then, in MysInc, there is a new timeline created for the non-ghosts universe. I haven't been up to date on the shows following MysInc so I can't connect it to the other parallel universe tho. Idk if the two universes keep merging or not.

I think you should add "James Gunn killed Scrappy-Doo" to the abyss section, or at least the tier above the abyss.
Basically, the reason Scrappy is the villain of the first live action Scooby movie is because James Gunn hated Scrappy as an addition to the gang when he was a child. The decline of Scrappy as a character only started after that movie. That's also what the Easter-egg reference in the Mystery Incorporated is about (I think it's when Daph and Fred are on a date at the Crystal Cove wax museum).

    @rodolfoleon4538 Před 3 lety +1

K imma say my theory about scooby doo. To me it might be different time loops which could explain the different animation styles. Think about it. So basically it can start with any series but can end with either scooby doo mystery inc or some new version leading up to the last and final season to the scooby doo+friends gang. Remember of how in the last episode Mr.E said that he was surprised that the gang actually remembered the restart of the universe well it could mean that within each and every version of the gang Mr.E was alive in their universes and every time each season ended they either faced off against a villain that made the loop creating a newer version like how the monster in mystery inc death created the new world or somehow it wasn't a monster but something else creating the endless loop. I feel like for the very last season it could tie into the monster costume theory because if you think about it in different stories and shows there are monsters who are more powerful of which in each iteration of scooby and the gang they face the same monsters at some point to then fight off against the newer ones but they never fully beated the oldest monsters since they get revived in each show.

    • @rodolfoleon4538

Give me some feed back on my theory if its bad tell me but I truthfully think this might be what the makers of the show made this out to be. btw with the part that they can't see what happened in the end to cause the loop think about it as its from the view point of Mr.E of which if he can't see it(as in if he can't physically/psychically see the monster but im not sure which one since it wasn't told to us the audience) then us the audience won't know exactly what happened to cause the loop. I know the Mr.E part is a bit far fetched but within the series of mystery inc we don't get much of an explanation about him other from that he knows a lot about the character's and that he has written about the monsters to an extent in his books(Not sure which episode it was revealed in) where he has endured living in the endless timelines with the gang not knowing what happened in the previous iterations.

It is true that Shaggy is a ventriloquist though. I remember an episode in the old Scooby Doo where they were in a castle and scooby and Shaggy hid in some pots. Then shaggy used ventriloquism to make the ghost think they were somewhere else

17:08 There's also an episode of "Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?" where Shaggy has to constantly remind Jeff Dunham and Darci Lynne Farmer that Scooby is not a ventriloquist dummy.

Two videos and no mention of “Scooby-doo and the Reluctant Werewolf”and “Scooby-doo and the Ghoul School”. They were probably my favorite Scooby-doo movies growing up.Also missing my favorite fan theory that Shaggy is magical, explaining that Scooby can talk because he is Shaggy’s bonded familiar

So there was this one scooby doo movie i had when i was a kid... where shaggy turns into a werewolf and stuff and i feel like it was either a vivid fever dream or just very obscure... am i the only one who remembers that movie? The "reluctant werewolf" or smth.

I think I know what one you’re speaking of! Is it the one where Dracula turns Shaggy into a werewolf so he can compete in this race filled with supernatural creatures? He also has a cheerleading girlfriend for some reason??

Good video. My favorites include the OG, Scooby Doo, Where Are You?, the New Scooby Doo Movies and the theatrically released movies.
Btw, there's a short cut through at least half of the Dooniverse theory: The Laff-Olympics. Boom! It's fair to say that ANYONE who ever crossed paths with anyone in the gang shares a universe with Mystery Inc.

Shaggy is a ventriloquist and he uses his skill in Scooby Doo where are you to throw his voice to a pot to distract a monster
