I have a Jeep Cherokee Chief, 1977. 4 speed T-18 Borg Warner. Dana 44s with added Power Locks, front & rear. Stock 360 V8. Gets me where I want to go. I like the 60's & 80's. Just learning about the 4X4 on Australia. Thx for sharing & be safe!
What a beautiful old rig, so much work done to it and it looks and sounds amazing.
The Sandy 60 is really nice. Great video and thank you for posting.
I ran a 60 for 22 years in PNG ...no highways...just really rough roads...minimal mods...it was so good I just couldn't part with it.
My boys grew up in it on trips to really remote bass fiishing spots fully loaded with the Steber tinny on the roof rack .
The kids (now grown up) still refer to it as "The Tank," but in a very respectful manner.
Bulletproof !!!!
Great tour with some great views! I enjoyed this video so many thanks for letting me accompany you guys.
Take care and don't let the Bug Bite, ok!
Beautiful life you're living. Wonderful videos. Amazing scenery. Always a pleasure.
The scenery (especially in the 15th minute) is just spectacular!
G’day Ronny, as much as I enjoy your very entertaining and informative presentations I would love to see you driving Scott’s GU Patrol from episode 80 of modified. It would be nice for thousands of your followers who drive Nissan’s to have the joy of seeing you finally enjoy everything a GU Patrol 4.2TD has to offer.I know that you will love it! Coz I love mine.👍Cheers, Rob.
Watching this great video from freezing Northern Europe facing a new tougher lockdown. Lucky you guys thanks for sharing!
Ahh memories. That 60 is a bit more tricked up but our old 60 was a real workhorse. Never let us down.
Solid machine. Currently working on my BJ60's complete restoration. Upgrading to LED's, solar panel, HAM Radio and more comfortable seats.
Hope you and the family are safe from the fires there mate. Best of luck.
Excellent video/tech comments on the 60 Ronny. Good to see.
Hey Ronny, I'm not a subscriber" sorry" but I've watched a lot of your videos. I am thankful to you for teaching me how to get off the sand. I drove into a beach at Beachport in SA and turned right and stopped wasn't bogged, but with what you taught me I was able to rock backwards and forwards and eventually reverse about 20 metres and then gun it out of there over a sand dune with tires at 14 psi. Thanks mate for you videos and I use your knowledge. Cheers
Fantastic video love this truck and your 79 thank you for making awesome content
Well done m8
For such a big country all the God damn scenery looks the exact same. Good video.
That 60 is unreal. Absolute G up
Loving the new intro music!
Need to say, big fan, look forward to ur trips, but I am loving the new theme music.
Awesome Ronny! Need to do a Modified on the Sandy60 👍
Amazing stuff. How about having a convoy of all generations of Land cruiser? That will be amazing 😉
Mum and dad had a matching pair in the 80s a beige standard and a white gxl both diesel. Loved them. Then in 1990 they got 80 series. Loved them too. Dad had his until he died in 2018. I’ve got a 100 Sahara. Can’t beat Landcruiser
Love that 60, the ultimate rig! 👌🏾
I loved my 12HT 60, put 580k on her and sold it for more than I paid for it, only complaint was the narrow footwell for the driver due to the large dif in the front, did a 1500k run non stop out of NT and fell out of the vehicle, but as a 4x4 it was assume, never let me down. A tribute to Toyota's first go at making a 4x4 both tough and comfortable.
The 60 series is so nice. I would give it a bit more ground clearance, the Wheels of the 79 look way better and I would change the steering wheel
Great vid as usual....Legend
Think the new Hilux needs to do that track 💪
When are you making the “In darkness we find camp” T-shirt? Because I’d definitely buy one of those!
Needs to have a torch light shining on the print...'in darkness we find camp'!!!
you all probably dont care at all but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account??
I stupidly forgot my login password. I love any tips you can give me!
Whats up Ronny? thanks for the new vid mate. will watch later. :)
Great video love the 60, Torben’s car looks very heavy 😮
You should have put a camera and light on the straps y’all lowered down the shaft.
Great vid Ronny 👍🏻
Helt sjovt at se en dansk slirekniv i Australien - thanks mate! Lookin forward to more news on the Hilux.
That’s a clean build.
Clean 60 series is a nicer rig then most. Keeping the setup simple is always nice
Awesome intro😎
Finally some comment actually worth watching.
For the love of all that is good, PLEASE DO A MODIFIED ON THIS CAR!
Already been done during the build process. Look it up on the ARB channel.
@@favouritejay The fact is, the ARB video is the actual build. So not sure what you expect more from a modified with Ronny
@@cyclemoto8744 I thing ARB’s video is a bit of an advertisement of everything they sell (for good reason too), Ronny just knows good questions to ask, plus there aren’t enough 60’s on modified ;)
Great car, great video.
Spec - bloody - tacular !
woooow amazing vidio, thanks you for sharing
The Sandy60 a great 4x4 but I think it needs a bit more lift as I heard a front tyre scraping on the guard at one stage :-)
Another great video Ronnie! Interesting that Aussies like the Chevy/Detroit 6.2 Diesel engine when Americans mostly despised it for being low on power. I think it was under appreciated here. Are the AU versions naturally aspirated? Even the U.S. Military 6.5L Turbo version in the H1 was universally disliked by military personnel... I liked them both/all because they will rev unlike the Cummins 5.9 and they do respond to the same mods that wake up any diesel.
The fate of the Chevy/Detroit was sealed with the introduction of the Chevy/Isuzu Duramax. I had one for a couple years and it ran well but had expensive injector problems. It is sad that U.S. lawmakers stifled the use of diesels in smaller trucks/Utes... we envy you for all the diesel choices you have had.
Anthonys supercharged y62. For some power 💪💪
Enjoyed the video. Scenery was beautiful! Would of liked to know more about the type of diffs, air lockers and such. Does the Sandy have center diff? What years they were made?
The mine shaft was dug by hand no doubt, crazy.
Dude Very nice car really sick!;)
the 60 looks awesome. I watched the build on it.. after driving it, does this mean Sleipnir will finally get a dirty air filter???
Ronny, much appreciate for this video, was really interested in this comparison. Sasha, 35, from Russia
You have to market those old fridges Ronny .
Good stuff!
Ronny, I started branching out and watch American off-road channels today. Yeah, no. I’m not watching a 30 minute commercial under the guise of it being a YT video. Keep doing what you do, Ronny. Stay true to your audience please.
Yep, drive Graham's GQ Shorty!
I love Thad cruisers but the 60 is a dream
best 60 i've seen
Best intro track ever
Ronny I think it’s time for you to take the new explore 4x4 79 for a thrash hopefully it’s coming your way soon
Such a nice car.
I love those vids
I've got a hj61 sahara and it is much louder in the cab than that 60 it must have a lot of sound deadening
The rear bar on that 60 is mint wouldn’t mind having one for mine haha
Shauno’s Sooty!!!!!
Ronny, you should do a restauration on an old vehicle. Like a 80 or a GQ. A series on that would be mint.
I want to see you swap the Hilux keys for a modified 2020 Prado 😉
Great intro music
The sandy 60 has the same annoying squeak noise as my Suzuki Sierra 😂
I see a 60 on the preview and I'm like... wha....?? Hit it immediately.
The dirty 30 man !
You should’ve put a GoPro on the end of the straps to see what’s in the mine shaft...
Swap with Sam Eyles 👌🏽
Nice to see the Danish Flag. Just need some Gammel Dansk to go with it....
you have to drive the mega 6 for a few days (and Justin has to drive yours)
I think Ronny's got the 60 bug
Dream 60😁👍🏻
Who makes the window armrest organizer in Ronny's vehicle?
Finally bringing back what I subscribed to this channel for, outback 4wding adventures....not reviewing school run parents cars
Torbs could have swapped key for the chopped 200 as well
Interesting steering wheel replacement- wondering what that comes off or from where...??
Go the 60!!!!
That into music was sick with didgeridoo
love the intro music. Are you still using it in your current videos?
What snorkel you run on your V6 Hi lux
Take Harry's prado for a spin extra points if you get it dirty and stuck 😂😂😂
17:08 There is someone on your roof!
do a swap with shaun whales dirty 30 ) that would be awesome. cheers
Put ajustable airbags over the leafs, front and rear taking 80 percent of the load, like to know how it would ride and handle, does anyone do it,and why not in oz????
Like that chopped 200
Hey mate nice video there's a spelling mistake in the thumbnail "Swapped" :)
Drive Andrew St Pierre White's Dream Tourer or the Mega 6x6
come drive mine!
About 330k isn't it 🤔 . Great place too get away for a few days .
Another great episode Ronny, i have a question. Ive recently bought a 79series and desperately want to start 4wd'n but i have no idea where tracks are. What is the best maps you would recommend getting?
paper maps I'd say HEMA 100% for a device GPS system I'm trying he new Gamin Overlander as the HEMA one (HX1) is driving me nuts.
@@Ronny_Dahl yeah Ronny i just bought an Overlander after watching Andrew St. Pierre White's review on it and i love it! What do you think of it so far?
Just bought a 2000 lux. Why doesn’t she have springs in the front. Leaf springs in the rear and just shocks in the front. Is this normal thanks.
It has torsion bars for the front suspension so no need for springs
Very nice video, and very nice trip...
I've worked a lot with these 60' Land cruiser in the Sahara desert in Algeria, and I can say that these Land Cruisers are very robust and real off roaders, thanks for all the team making this video possible.
