    Bought the same drill and experienced same issue with batteries dyeing, that's why I'm here so thanks for the clarification. Only other issues is there's no bit clip/holder on the drill itself like my old black and decker had. That feature came in handy.

    I just bought the same drill today May 2021 at Lowe's a hundred bucks.... I figured I'd just look up some review videos on it and I found your video which was great information about the battery cycling

    Brushless at Lowes for $99 right now on the 777 more power, better drill if you need an upgrade

    ty for the honest review. Just one thing, if you are using the drill for driving multiple screws is better to use an impact driver since the drill is mainly made for drilling

      100% wrong. Impact drivers are not better for driving screws.

    Yes, it’s a great drill.
    I installed traffic signals and I used this drill to do holes on metal poles but I like to put on a big battery.

    You should have got the impact driver. I have dewalts best drill and I still choose the $100 impact drill all day long

    I just got this drill. I figured I didn't need the more powerful ones just to do basic house work around the house and so far it's been great. Just does what I want it to do and that's fine by me.

    When o got this drill it had little to no power and sometimes didn’t turn on and a made sure the batteries were charged so I used the drill with my other dewalt batteries and it worked great and then after I used the drill a little bit with different batteries the ones that came with it worked fine

    I would recommend an impact driver, you can put in big wood screws without predrilling

    • @InsuranceIsLegalizedRobbery
      @InsuranceIsLegalizedRobbery Před 2 lety +2

      you can definitely do a lot of stuff with the 1/4” impact drivers, but if you were working with softer woods, I don’t recommend impact driver then, lots of times wood will split/crack, an impact driver is an ideal tool for hard wood.
      Remember, impact drivers are generally much powerful tools when compared to drill driver, torque ratings on them are much higher than a drill .

    All Li-ion batteries reach their maximum capacity over a few cycles. Apparently that is a dcb207 battery with just 1.3 Ah and of course that's an entry level battery capacity

    Would this drill through brick? I want to put up a hose rack on the side of my front yard, but the outside wall of the house is brick. I have this drill, but will it work in screwing in holes for the rack?

    • @ProductReviewsDR
      @ProductReviewsDR  Před 3 lety +1

      No, You need one with the hammer drill feature for that, Dewalt makes a hammer drill version that is cordless, you can also use it as a regular drill too. amzn.to/3w26pPr

    • @juak91
      @juak91 Před 3 lety +1

      I'm late to your comment, but in addition to a hammer drill, you may need masonry drill bits. They have a bit of a different shape on the tip to help gp through masonry.

    Thanks for the review. Wife threw away the instructions so I've been wondering about how to use it. Question, I have to mount some ceiling-curtain brackets in my apartment. Nothing heavy duty. I know this drill isn't an "impact" drill, but at the highest setting, do you think it's good enough to screw into a concrete ceiling? Thanks.
