His Fables allow for varying perspectiveSS. While the SAGE or wisdom at core is often apparent, it's also expansive in reasoning. To "walk a mile in the shoes of another" is a consistent theme that presents opportunity for empathy subconsciously, consciously, ideologically, etc. on so many levels, in equally vivid ways. Many Fables challenge the "what would you do?" in a given situation using allegory & paradox, was so interesting to me as a kid.(didn't know those words then🤓) They provoke open thought & introspection in nonthreatening, less polarizing ways...promoting discernment & mindfulness. Maybe leading to insights...Hopefully? Aesop's Fables absolutely enlightened me to the plethora of proclivities & machinations available to us all...good, bad AND indifferent. The principal of equality dictates that when contemplating an action we must consider the interests of other beings, because we are no more important than anyone else. Of course, there are those that no matter what will always be self serving, and they will do anything they can to hold onto their power, property, and capital. So, we as moral and rational beings have a duty to look at the current events unfolding in front of us, and realize that it’s time for actually systematic change. If we aren’t able to do this, then I’m afraid that our future is going to be very bleak.
