    I made 4 quilts for my mother's church ministry (Lutheran World Relief) using this technique! I used 5 1/2" strips and blocks to make a 60x80" quilt!

      Ashley Meade I found Jenny makes it so simple it inspires you :) books can make it seem unfathomably complicated, then you watch Jenny and your grabbing the fabric. Soon you will have to negotiate with yourself that you already have enough fabric for 4 quilts and really should put the fabric down but..... :)

      I'm with Moonie Pie. I didn't even know how sew 3 years ago and I've now made 6 quilts. I'm working on 2 right now and have 3 more in the works. Once you get going you kind of become addicted. It's beautiful art and Jenny definitely makes it easy. None of my quilts was perfect but people don't care. You can't make a quilt without pouring some love into it. Somehow that add a priceless value to it. You can do it!! :)

    Jenny, your technique of nesting seams without pinning is so easy! I thought it would be hard to feel but it really works! I never got good joins with pins but the nesting really works!!! Thank you.

    I turned 83 in March..have sewn for years. but just could not stand those little pieces to make a quilt.....started out with Elenor Burnes Log Cabin.when it first came out...I was HOOKED big time...you have made it even easier..for this old lady to keep making quilts.

    I followed this technique to use up my stash of 2.5 scraps. I needed 13” of each strip and put scrappy reds for my “focus strip.” It turned out great. Made it extra long so hubby could have his own quilt for his side of the bed. I think it weighs a lot because of all those quarter-inch seam allowances! Wish I could leave you a photo.

    By my 3am calculations this would be 10.5 / 10 inch finished blocks and 4 together to make the pattern would make it them 20 inches finished .... I love the idea of a scrappy quilt using this method .... I cut jelly strips to set aside every time I cut fabric so now have a huge box of them to use. THANKS FOR THE FUN PROJECT.
