Traveling on the island of Java, especially East Java, is quite easy. When you arrive at the port of Ketapang Banyuwangi, you can continue to the train station to the city of Banyuwangi on foot, then if you want to continue the journey to Mount Bromo you can take another train from Banyuwangi to Probolinggo or continue to Malang. For transportation between regions, the fastest on the island of Java is the friend train 🙏
Finally you've made it. Go straight to Lumajang to see Tumpak Sewu waterfalls (Air Terjun Tumpak Sewu), It's in East Java too. Kapas Biru waterfall, Madakaripura waterfall and Mount Bromo.
We did make it😁 interesting hike but we were dead afterwards😜

Banyuwangi (... Nyu sound as '' New'' in english) banyu means :water. Wangi means fragrant. Banyuwangi means fragrant water. This name taken from the legend of the loyalty queen that murder by her jealous husband after he came back from long journey of war. Her dead body laid on the ground but at that time the land became a pond that smell like a flower. The message is that the land show to the king (husband) that the queen prove to him her loyaty. But everything is too late. Hope you enjoy the wonderful Indonesia

Not sure if you've done it yet but it was fairly straightforward UNTIL the descent into the crater (where the blue flames are) - it was incredibly crowded (even more than this video shows - now that it's gotten a bit more popular).
I'm not sure if you are in the UK but I did something called the Yorkshire Three Peaks and I personally thought Mount Ijen was harder lol.
I think the thing that made it difficult was having to navigate around the sheer amount of people who were also on the route. That being said, it's one the best sunrise's I've ever seen from the top (before you descend!).
