    Great video! Very well done. To me, the seat alone is worth the price. 2 vs 3 in a window row. A350 is a beautiful aircraft. Flew on it with Qatar.

      Thank you for the kind words! Yes, the premium select product is pretty good on Delta’s A350. I also hope to make it on Qatar at some point this year hopefully to try out their Q-Suites product.

    Hi! 🙋🏾‍♀️ This video was suggested in my feed. I decided to watch because it has ATLanta on the screen. I’m a native Atlien who lives in Stone Mountain, ga but is always happy when I see a video of someone flying out of Atlanta. New subscriber. I like videos like this with no voice overs even though I do like when people have it, I appreciate this too.

    It’s interesting to see the food service difference as another creator posted a video going to China in premium select and service was back to pre Covid times

    • @XavierHerndon
      @XavierHerndon  Před 2 lety

      Yeah, there's been a noticeable inconsistency with catering on certain Delta flights during the pandemic. Some flights on the same route will get different amenities and meals than the same flight a day later. I'm not sure how to explain it but I definitely understand.

    Hi Xavier. Nice video. Food is economy. Anyway you stopped by the Skyclub. Seat is wider than economy. I'm not sure if there's somebody beside you. You're lucky nobody was there. Good the toilet is in front of Premium E. I think it's a good product.
    Happy safe travels.

    I've noticed a difference in the service also on Premium Select to CDG as both flights I had real dishes and silverware in May and my flight in April did not. Also sometimes the meal selection was only one choice due to supply chain issues they were having. Hoping in December it will be back to near normal with the options. Thank you for sharing your video.

      Yeah premium select has been extremely inconsistent from what i've seen thus far. I'm hoping by the end of the year it returns to it's pre-covid level of service but I guess we'll see.

  • @frederickvondinkerberg7721

    Still does not look like Delta have returned to pre lockdown service standards... food used to be on real plates with real cutlery... charging the same or more for less service seems to be the way of things these days

    • @XavierHerndon
      @XavierHerndon  Před 2 lety +2

      I've heard a good things about premium select prior to covid. I think they need to return to that pre covid service asap. They can't continue to charge such a premium price without an actual premium service. Covid was the excuse for why premium select was lackluster but that excuse is getting a bit old at this point.

      @keisuke5468 Před 2 lety +1

      On majority of the airlines, they don't provide lounge access for premium economy.
      As far of my knowledge, only ANA and Japan Airlines are known for providing lounge access to premium economy passengers

    • @XavierHerndon
      @XavierHerndon  Před 2 lety +1

      You are correct. I only had access to the Sky Club since I have an AMEX platinum card. I should’ve probably clarified that in the video so my apologies. Usually, only people flying Delta One are able to access the Sky Club with their ticket.

    How far did the seats recline?

    • @XavierHerndon
      @XavierHerndon  Před 2 lety +1

      They recline about 6-7 inches back per Delta. However, with the bulkhead being behind 25J I wouldn’t be surprised if the recline is a little bit less overall.

    I will be having same flight but JFK - CDG, however only premium select on the way back. I have a 4:50H layover at CDG for my connection. Would you say that is enough? , second question what is the charge for wifi for the whole trip? , and last question #3 do you know if rapid - test is good enough for the Paris airport? thanks a lot!

    • @XavierHerndon
      @XavierHerndon  Před 2 lety

      Hi Patryk,
      Thanks for watching! A 4:50H connection is definitely perfect for CDG. Recently, it took me around 2 hours to connect through CDG back in June so you should be fine.
      The charge for wifi depends on what type of wifi that aircraft is equipped with. For Viasat aircraft it's typically $5 for the whole flight while others that still use the Gogo system, it'll be $25+ definitely.
      Ultimately, your vaccination status will determine what kind of test you need to get for travel through France. Personally, I didn't need to take any tests due to being vaccinated but if you're not, I'd assume you'd need an antigen test or PCR prior to travel.

    • @patrykpattus8916
      @patrykpattus8916 Před 2 lety +1

      @@XavierHerndon Thanks for your response, I will be traveling with someone who is vaccinated with J&J one-shot however the french website says unless you have a booster you still need to provide a test. I myself am not vaccinated so taking a test is not an issue, the plane is A330-900Neo. Even 25$ is not bad to be connected and not be-bored. Thanks a lot!

    • @XavierHerndon
      @XavierHerndon  Před 2 lety

      @@patrykpattus8916 Yeah so in that case I’d recommend both of you having those antigen/pcr tests prior to travel to be on the safe side. Hopefully, your aircraft will be the $5 wifi one but if not definitely prepare for that $25+ price range. Safe travels nevertheless!

    what is the best seat role for premium select?

    • @XavierHerndon
      @XavierHerndon  Před rokem

      I'd say on the A350 it'll be either 20 or 25. 20 is the bulkhead so you'll have room to move around. 25 is good because it's in front of the bulkhead so you don't have to worry about anyone behind you. 25 does have limited recline however so keep that in mind.

      @XavierHerndon  Před 2 lety +1

    "Ah, our long lost cousin, A350-Delta, returns to their birthplace. Did the uncivilized Americans make you carry their inferior bread to serve to your human guests? Were the cheese selections onboard limited to Velveeta and Cheddar? I bet you had to carry that pathetic stuff Americans call butter and jelly. No real fruit jams. Chicken? No decent fish fillets with proper sauce? Well your humans can deplane and find better foods soon enough. Welcome back."
