There are also gradations of so called "Woke-ism". My last sentence(in the previous paragraph) was slightly "woke" yet I think that form still has value.

I’m a white Gen X-er who came up in the SF Bay Area and we came 🤏🏼close to evolving beyond racism. In 1993, ‘94, ‘95 et al everyone hung out with everyone. No one said “oh he’s my Filipino friend” It equally annoys me, breaks my heart and pisses me off that in just 30 years a bunch of self loathing white people and race baiters managed to drag us backwards. It’s unconscionable.

I'm ex military, over 50, black guys I served with don't obsess or discuss this stuff over a beer, they just talk about normal stuff and we go fishing together.. and actually talk about... fishing. And of course about our b#$%ing wives, but race doesn't come up like with younger generation, seems.

As an older gen x i kind of feel like we had all the racial tension and divide on the way out . I went to school in eastern NC in a school that was probably at least 80% black. I was, and am, a nerdy white dude. I never had trouble . Ran cross coutry and played soccer we were all friends and team mates . Went to movies on the weekend . I felt like we were all moving in the right direction . Joined the army and had similar experiences . Im sad as a country we went off the rails . It wasnt perfect but at least we were going in the right direction.

And cultures are from regions, nothing to do with race or heritage beyond a few generations back, ghetto culture comes from low income urban communities, which typically have high black populations.

I’ve had this discussion with countless people. It’s called an adaptation to an environment. The difference in races and attributes of people is genetics combined with adaptation to whatever environment. It’s literally that simple.

Our climate is harsh, it's cold, lots of cold winds, it's kinda logical to assume that having a narrower nose with smaller nostrils are benficial in the Scandinavian climate over a bigger nose with bigger more rounded nostrils. We also don't see the sun as much up here, and the sun generally isn't as harsh as it is in say Africa. We do however like everyone else need Vitamin D. White skin absorbs UV better from the sun and produces Vitamin D. Black skin on the other hand, blocks UV better and prevents Vitamin D toxicity in an area where the sun is much much harsher. Lighter eye colors such as blue eyes also allow for more light to enter the eyes, which is again beneficial in a location where there is less light. This is simply evolution and natural selection from those that bred and had offspring that survived them and bred and had offspring that survived them, etc. Eventually we got where we are now.
