A perfect depiction of my home area & an almost spot on grasp of the history with just one caveat...the old corn store was never used as a workhouse. Grain was stored there during our Genocide/Famine & shipped to England whilst the locals died in the fields eating the grass. Perfect production.

Very little famine deaths on the sheep’s head peninsula.
The landlord was very sympathetic and made provision for the tenants.
Furthermore the tenants had very small holdings, my family rented circa 20 acres. Therefore there weren’t many cottagers (sub-tenants) who were the most likely to suffer.
@dmvzfdac oh wow never knew that - terrible period of history for sure - when wf for the north las winter (we’re just about to share the series with you ) we came across many more stories

@getawaygeese oh it's unbelievable there,up mountains,in the fortress in Dubrovnk,kayaking,swam galore,walked and walked for miles, island hopped. Definitely a place to explore.
