I was born in 95. A year after this man went to jail he’s been locked up longer than I’ve lived my life. I was having a bad time but this really puts puts things into perspective, what an awful injustice and what a brilliantly well read humble man
I'm probably old enough to be your father. I'm ex military and after Iraq and Afghanistan I've said to my wife I don't want to be here, as in not living. What I've realised is there is always someone in a worse position, having a worse life and still pushing on. What I've seen or done is nothing on many peoples struggle to live. At my lowest point the only way is up. My children are why I'm still here, I couldn't make my families life miserable just because I'm feeling low or struggling. I simply see living is far better than causing more pain to people I love. If your ever low think of that and how our lives are a gift compared to others 🙏

I'm constantly checking that windows are locked, triple checking doors, adding extra security for certain doors, strategically placing sharp objects around my property....im mot paranoid just ready, I was born in the hood and learned alot there, some things i learned in my short time in the military but most of all from living in the butt crack of the blue ridge mountains, I used to go outside at 3am to look at the milky way, just me and my husky....we seen things out there that most won't believe...I didn't know black panthers existed until I seen one about 30 feet away from me......

Sadly, one learns to live with that reality. One trains themselves mentally to, like he said, "not do time, but use the time to your advantage." Not everybody of course, but many people do.

I'm pretty sure he received clemency. He's not innocent just because he says he's innocent. His story was that he was out shopping for Halloween supplies and randomly bumped into his drug-dealing friend (Bryant was also a drug dealer), and while they were talking, the guys that had just robbed his friend the day before happened to walk by, and everyone started shooting. But Bryant claimed he ran and was just at the "wrong place at the wrong time". I don't buy it.

I’ve done time. It’s easy when you’re young because you don’t necessarily have things you need to do aka family, buisiness, etc. especially in my case. I was just working and lost my job because of incarciration. No house or car. Nothing to worry about. You just live and occupy your time. I’m sure I could’ve gotten my masters if i was locked up for more then the year I was there

I am a man who suffered with a learning disability when I was younger. This video makes me thankful for the individuals that invested in me and made me better. I am truly fortunate for the path that the big man placed me on
This man is a true inspiration - that he came out with this much calm. I know people that have been in prison, just for addiction, that encountered some horrible things. And in PA, the prison in Cambridge Springs - near Lake Erie and Canada - are exactly like the small communities that he talks about - they only have a prison - their only source of employment. This is the worst you can do to a person. Someone should start a foundation that goes after corrupt prosecutors. I would donate an entire months pay to it.
There is one: Jeffrey Deskovic Foundation for Justice. They have changed several laws and freed like 20 people in the last year or two. Guy who runs it might become the DA where he was wrongfully prosecuted for murder at age 16.

I'm pretty sure he received clemency. He's not innocent just because he says he's innocent. His story was that he was out shopping for Halloween supplies and randomly bumped into his drug-dealing friend (Bryant was also a drug dealer), and while they were talking, the guys that had just robbed his friend the day before happened to walk by, and everyone started shooting. But Bryant claimed he ran and was just at the "wrong place at the wrong time". I don't buy it.
What a nightmare...takes an incredibly strong mind to get through that. Hope his life moves forward with success, acceptance and love.

I’ve done time. It’s easy when you’re young because you don’t necessarily have things you need to do aka family, buisiness, etc.
especially in my case. I was just working and lost my job because of incarciration. No house or car. Nothing to worry about. You just live and occupy your time.

This man is a true inspiration - that he came out with this much calm. I know people that have been in prison, just for addiction, that encountered some horrible things. And in PA, the prison in Cambridge Springs - near Lake Erie and Canada - are exactly like the small communities that he talks about - they only have a prison - their only source of employment. We are living in a sick country. Love and peace for healing.

I'm 34 and think of everything I've done in life. Friends, relationships, travelling, work promotions, nights out etc and that whole time and all the thousands of memories seems like forever. The thought of all that being stuck in prison is enough to destroy your mind
