GJ fellas! This is a Black Babymetal song usually performed by Moa and Yui. Since Yui is no longer a member, Moa performed it with her little sisterbones. Back in the day Black Babymetal would do their songs to give Su a break and then Su would do a solo song while Moa and Yui took a break. You should go watch an older version with MoiMoi (Moa and Yui). They did a few at Budokan Black Night in 2014. Kitsune Up! 🤘🦊🤘

One of the reasons Babymetal exists was to be a doorway for people not used to metal. The girls may not have been metalheads when they were first called to do this job but they have become great embasidors to those new to the genre.
Her 4 backup dancers are called Sister Bones. Not that it matters, just a bit of fyi.
I could watch Moa's smile all day, it's so perfect.
AS others have said, this was a song performed by the most dynamic duo of Yui and Moa early on to allow them to shine and have Su rest for a bit. Su would also have a few solo songs to allow Yui and Moa to rest (or do homework). Moa is talented and amazing enough to carry the Black BABYMETAL songs on her own. With Momoko now a full member we are not sure if Momoko will join Moa now for these songs or if they will retire the Black BABYMETAL Songs orrrrrrr create new ones. OTFGK.
Moa might have not been a metal head before BABYMETAL but she sure seems born for this. Born to perform and bring joy to anyone around. She is one of a kind. 🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction (or 'Good Job' ... thought you might have picked that up from the subtitles). Su was 12, Yui and Moa were 11 when BABYMETAL formed in 2010 and Metal was very much a minority, underground genre in Japan at that time, so no they weren't familiar with it.
When I was 11 Metal didn't exist. I started listening to it 3 or 4 years later through my brother and friends playing their records - I would bet that's how most of us found out about and started listening to metal and probably at around that same sort of age or even later.
Su, Yui and Moa got a much better education in Metal than just about everybody who call themselves Metalheads as they were playing concerts and festivals, meeting and watching bands like Metallica, Slayer and many more from side stage.
On the first 2 albums Su had 4 solo songs (2 on each album), she would perform them and give Yui and Moa a break in concerts to hydrate, catch their breath etc. By the same token Yui and Moa (as a duo called Black BABYMETAL) had 4 songs they would perform as a duo giving Su a break.
'GJ' was one of those songs ... Since Yui left the band in 2018 if the Black BABYMETAL songs were performed Moa had to do them alone, which is what happened here. In this instance she was supported by the Baby Foxes, her 4 young apprentices.
The other Black BABYMETAL songs are '4 No Uta' (or Song 4 - Yui and Moa have writing credits for lyrics and music ... not for the arrangement of course. They wrote it on the tour bus in Singapore when they were 12), 'Onedari Daisakusen' and 'Sis Anger'.
Yeah, same here. I think I was probably 13 or 14 before I really started listening to a lot of metal in the early/mid 80's. I had heard Judas Priest and such when I was younger, but I wouldn't say I was into metal when I was 11. I think when I was 11 I liked stuff like Billy Joel, I think his Glass Houses album is the first album I ever got. So it isn't surprising to me that they didn't know anything about metal at that age. And yes, I had an older brother that was listening to Iron Maiden, Metallica, etc. So that's how I first heard of a lot of metal bands. Things are different now though, back then somebody you knew had to have the album or tape of a band, so it was harder to hear new bands back then. Now you can find anything you want in a few seconds.

Finally you meet a Black Babymetal song, only thing you're missing YuiMetal, just like you read originally there were the only two of them performing together 4 exclusive songs, but after Yui left the group Moa took the charge in some of those songs. We are waiting for a new version with MomoMetal or maybe with the new BM Unit next month at Summer Sonic Festival but OTFGK, three of those are performing here along with Moa for the first time in a BM show, they're called baby-foxes here but now they're part of this new Metalverse.
The beginning clap section of the song is a classic Asian child song, you can hear an example of this in the beginning of The Squid Games series.
Black Babymetal said they challenge themselves to rap while leaving a message to make society better, that's why she can speak some bars. In this case they're thanking all parents for doing everyday's job and taking care of them, that's why the analogies of mosh pits with certain situations parents need to faces against the crowd in the streets, like Metro.
I guess when KobaMetal choose them because of their twins appearence the voices came with the full pack, and we love "MoiMoi" kawaii explosion.
SuMetal isn't here but she does show up with her backing vocals at another Black Babymetal song called "Onedari Daisakusen", i suggest you to check it out live at Legend 1997, no filters is necessary.
Like i said, this was an exclusive version live at Budokan 2021 celebrating their 10 years, same thing with Onedari Daisakusen, and MoaMetal performed some of this BBM songs several times after Yui's withdrawal.
If you want to listen the album version check it out another interesting exclusive version called GJ! Reward Version, to see the difference on lyrics, and of course i highly suggest you to check it out a live version with YuiMetal in this subgroup to meet MoiMoi and the kawaii chemistry between both, live at Wembley Arena 2016 or Tokyo Dome 2016 is a must.

Because they were so young when BM started, they were constrained by Japanese labor laws as to how long they could perform and iirc not after 20:00. One of the reasons Su-metal has her solos and MoiMoi had the BBM duets. It is rumored that the girls did homework during their breaks. 🤔
Moametal has a beautiful voice and many wish would hear her solo more often, but she doesn't want lead. 5 foot tall Super-Moa-Chan has a great stage presence. ❤❤
Moametal first sang the BBM songs as a soloist, when Yui was unable to perform at Legend S: Baptism XX. She performed only her portions of the songs and the crowd helped with singing Yui's parts. Imagine having a close friend and fellow performer for seven years suddenly unable to perform. There wasn't enough time to adjust the duets and the entire show's choreography. 18-yo Moametal did her best to give her friend and sempai Su-metal the best birthday Live possible under the circumstances.
Black Babymetal was uniquely Yui and Moa and, for me, it was a unique time too which ended when Yui left.
My favorite just Moa is "Onedari Daisakusen". I think it and this one were the only Black Babymetal songs they brought back for their 10 years.

Currently, this is not usual at all. It was originally a Black BABYMETAL song (a sub-unit formed by Yui and Moa). Moa performed this one during 2018 (while Yui was absent) on her own. At the 10 BABYMETAL Budokan and since they were celebrating their 10 years, they decided to perform "GJ" and "Onedari Daisakusen" again as a Moa's solo.
The girls backing Moa here were, allegedly, Sakura Gakuin (the group where they originated) members. Which is also a nice way to honor their own origins.
That is a song from Black Babymetal (Yui & Moa duet), but at this concert Yui wasnt on group no more so Moa did it alone. As the other comment said GJ means Good Job. Black Babymetal have more songs like SONG 4, ONEDARI DAISAKUSEN, & SIS ANGER.
As other said, this is an original Black Babymetal song where Yui and Moa performed without Su to give her a break. The same way Su has some (4 in total) solo songs that she performs without Yui and Moa to give them a break. Since you was absent since 2017 and left officially in 2018, they didn’t perform the Black Babymetal songs for a while but brought them back with only Moa performing for their 10th anniversary shows “10 Babymetal Budokan”. Moa also performed “Onedari Daisakusen” there, so check that out, its kawaii overload! ❤🤘🔥🦊

This song is a tribute and a big thank you from the girls to their parents and BabyMetal support staff who make the girls life easier not only on tour but in the studio and events. Yes they are very appreciative and humble young ladies. No wonder every band and everyone who has ever worked with them have nothing but high praise.

It should be stated , the "only" famous artists that performed during the pandemic. Not just one show but 10. In Forum (Budokan) which is by invitation only, there are famous artists that have never played there . A first to perform during the pandemic is just one of many firsts... played for an all male audience one night the an all female audience the next(15k-20k each night). First for top all record sales for a group in their country...... so many to even list. From a country that is 90% j-pop, they set a new bar. As well as brought the spot light to a whole new set of players to the game.
On the first two albums, there were two song that were sung by Su alone, and two songs that were sung by Yui and Moa without Su. The purpose of this was to give the girls a break during shows when they were performing live when they were still young. When Yui and Moa performed without Su, they were known as Black Babymetal; GJ is one of the four Black Babymetal songs. To my knowledge, 10 Babymetal Budokan is the only time Moa ever performed the Black Babymetal songs alone.

This song is better when performed by a duet. I love Moa but these Black Babymetal songs and the choreography were specifically written for a duet. I just hope they eventually start doing them again with Momometal in place.
You should've watched the version with Yui and Moa, as it was originally intended. That being said, you can't help but smile watching Moa take command of a stage and audience. DIMPLE POWER!!!
I actually thought you already knew about Black Babymetal but I guess I was wrong. Black Babymetal have 4 solo songs (Yon No Uta/Song 4, Onidari Daisakusen, Sis Anger, and GJ!), just like Su-Metal has 4 solo songs ( Akatsuki, Rondo of Nightmare, No Rain No Rainbow, and Amore). Not to mention the solo cover songs they did in the Legend IDZ concerts. In the beginning (first album) Babymetal would perform ALL their songs and even for some covers and collabs (see Answer For Animation With You/Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai), which came to about 12 to 14 songs. Their set was very formulaic. They'd play 3 or 4 songs, then do a Su solo, followed by a Black Babymetal solo. Then do 3 more songs, then another Su solo followed by another Black Babymetal solo. Then finish the set with 3 more songs and a encore of 2 more songs. When the second album, Metal Resistance, came out, they of course had 2 more solo songs, Sis Anger and GJ for BBM and Amore and No Rain No Rainbow for Su. This was the last time solo songs were written for the girls.
I may have mentioned it before but no passengers in BabyMetal . Just backing singers they are definitely not . Moa and Yui are stars in their own right and if they had not become part of BabyMetal would of being successful in whatever they did in my opinion .

GJ on the reaction. Good Job fellas. Moa getting the spotlight in this one. When they started, they had to follow child labor laws. And having built in breaks for Su did a great job covering it. As Su would then do solos giving Yui and Moa a break. That way they didn't have to stop the show. Genius. The joke when they started was, they had to do homework when taking those breaks. It may not have been too much of a joke. When one of their mothers threatened to pull them out of Babymetal when their grades started to go down. I was never sure who but that came out in an interview in Japan way back when they started out. How they managed to finish regular school while touring is more Babymetal magic. During a press day for a festival. The Red Hot Chilipeppers were doing an interview. And earlier that year Babymetal opened for them. They mentioned that one of Babymetal members wasn't there for press day because they had to study for a test. There was a lot of pressure on them back then. But they came through like the champs they are. At one point they were going to regular school, doing their parts for Sakura Gakuin. The Jpop group they started in and the Babymetal shows. These 2021 Budokan shows are some of my favorite performances of some BM songs. It's a bummer it is during covid restrictions so the fans aren't allowed to do anything but clap really, and the number of people allowed at the shows was a lot less than capacity. There aren't fans shouting out like they normally would in the songs. They play some prerecorded fan noise in some of the songs like they did with sporting events during covid shutdowns. I don't know if they will still do these with Momometal in the group now. It would sound better as a duo again if they do. I thought Moa did great solo for this one anyway.

My suggestion is Doki Doki Morning at Budokan 2014, it's the first song they ever released. I've actually subtitled this along with others from Budokan 2014, and Legend 1997.
GJ! stands for good job. It was one of four songs that Yui and Moa performed as a duo. The others being Onedari Daisakusen, 4 no uta, and Sis Anger. This was the second time (and last so far) it was performed without Yui, and Moa took the lead for it by herself. She has also performed Onedari Daisakusen by herself at Budokan 2021, and 4 no Uta at Legend S (Not on YT).
The band is a bit difficult to see with the darkness and bright red lights on stage as they are on four sides of the stage facing the crowd, and this modified footage (used to get it up on YT) is forced to cut their presence out even more. The video also suffers even more from the red light. It's simply the cost of getting that performance up on YT to react to.

BabyMetal, Kawaii Metal. In my mind Moa and Yui represent kawaii and Su represent metal. Even in the video Moa is about 22 years old. She's still very kawaii.

The thing I don't like about these Budokan concerts is that the audience "shouts and chants" are pre-recorded and piped thru the speaker system, as audience members were not allowed to scream and shout and participate verbally, due to COVID restrictions.
