    Ben!!! You have been a blessing for me! I’m really trying to grow my business and all your tips have come in handy. I’ve been struggling when it comes to charging for the job. Would you mind sharing a pricing list if you have one or just an idea of how much you charge?

    • @MakerDecor
      @MakerDecor  Před 2 lety +5

      Hi thanks so much for watching our videos. I am glad my videos have helped you. Pricing is the toughest part of the job. And is different for everyone and the best I can do is tell you of some of our mistakes. Most of the videos I have on here that mention pricing were booked early on and were still low I think. We were constantly raising our prices because we were figuring it out as we went. The number one thing I can tell you is do not sell your self short when you start. Maybe do 2 or 3 jobs where you break even for materials just for learning experience and photos of your work. After that definitely start charging for everything, supplies, delivery, your time. I can tell you the first 2 jobs I forgot to add in delivery fee which can add up quick, lol. Do not waste your time with people who want to lower your pricing. If they are on a small budget they will not be able to afford the balloons alone. This is more for luxury balloon garlands and backdrops. In my experience the people who will try to lower pricing or get more for their value are the ones that cause the most trouble and time. You are better off not accepting those events and save yourself the stress and bad reviews. The people who value what you bring will always be ok with the pricing and it is better off starting taking a couple of jobs that earn you money than taking every job that comes your way and you can lose money quick. I have 2 videos called balloon pricing mistake and Balloon Garland Grass backdrop event setup in which a talk a little about this topic at the end of the video. Hope this is some what helpful because pricing is tough and just account for everything.

      Hi, each printer is different and the main thing is to go to printer settings and look for poster or multiple images. This allows you to print your text into multiple prints. It is very limited on the size and takes some practice to get down. Or I have these texts I already separated on photoshop and separated into a PDF pages on our Etsy page. So when you print the work is already done and you just tape it together. The hard part is it is already sized and cant be made smaller or larger.
