  • If it smells like a cinewhoop, and it tastes like a cinewhoop, then it is probably a cinewhoop! The SpeedyBee Bee35 Pro 3.5 inch cinewhoop frame brings a few extra features to the table, but do they make this the best frame for a DJI O3 cinematic build? Let's taste it and find out!

    Just built one with the speedybee mini stack and walksnail vtx. The ONLY way to get it to fit is to use the 20x20 mounting holes of the stack and screw it directly in to the vtx to tighten it down. The instructions are not easy to read at all.. Colorful, yes. First and last build of a cinewhoop for sure!

    I also recently Built a BEE35, and I used all the parts they used, except I used the F405 with the 55 Amps ESC. It was a really tight fit, but once it’s all closed up, it flys beautifully. You made a good point though about planning how you’re going to run your wires before hand. Great review.

      @BaconNinjaFPV  Před 8 měsíci +1

      It does fly pretty darn nice! I really needed slightly bigger motors for my prop choice, but that was my own fault, lol. Planning ahead is a must in this tight build and I can imagine how much fun that was with a 30x30 stack, lol.

    • @kurtzFPV
      @kurtzFPV Před 8 měsíci +1

      Yeah, I put the Speedybee F7 V2 stack plus lidar and gps in mine and it was tight, but I really like the flight characteristics. Pulled the guts out of an old school fat ducted cinewhoop and this one is far better in the wind. I originally installed Inav, as I thought it would be cool to have the surface mode with the lidar for smooth shots at low altitude, but I couldn't get it working correctly. Back to betaflight it went. Nice review!

      A quick question if you don’t mind. This was actually my first build ever, even though I’ve been flying for about 3 years. The capacity that came with the 55 Amp ESC doesn’t really fit this frame, I actually have it sticking out of the back where the XT60 is. My question is, is it safe to use a smaller Capacity? And if so, what size would you suggest? Thanks in advance

    As you know, I'm a huge Quadmula fan boy. However, My very first build was the Speedybee Master 5 HD (the first version). It has a Speedybee f7v3 stack, O3 air unit, T-Motor f60 1950kv, etc. I still fly and still enjoy flying that first speedybee very much. When I wanted a cinewhoop, naturally I built a slammed squirt, but I really want to build this Speedybee cinewhoop. I just finished up my 7", (I went with the new Apex LR Evo) so it might be a few weeks, but I think this Speedybee will be my next build! Great review as usual! P.S. I kinda wish Quadmula would do a 7" frame!

  • @NordFPV
    @NordFPV Před 6 měsíci

    Agree, the build is very tight, and I was surprised that with all the good planned TPU there was no fix place for the RX. I tried using a 30x30 stack and it didn’t work. I could have closed it but it was rubbing the O3 in a way I’m not sure was a good idea for electronics to touch.
    Also a shame that a walksnail VTX didn’t fit. I wanted to build it with walksnail.
    An idea for speedybee will be to include cables that allows you to connect and disconnect the mini stack. In the end the mini F4 is kind of what they recommend.

    Great review! I just finished my bee35 build about 2 hours ago LOL.
    My minor complaints were exactly the same as yours, except that I thought it was a pretty easy build for a cinewhoop. Pre-planning is key.
    It's replacing my CL35 because it was too loud and prop guards broke every crash and were a PITA to replace.
    Thanks for your work Bacon👍

    • @BaconNinjaFPV
      @BaconNinjaFPV  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Great timing! lol. Yeah once you get it all laid out and know where everything is supposed to go, as long as you have done sufficient planning ahead, it isn't too bad. For sure not one of those things you are going to cobble together from the spare parts bin without a a reasonable amount of Tetris style dry fitting though :p The CL35 guards were absolutely a PITA to replace! Always made me sad because that was my go-to cinewhoop for so long.

    Hello everyone, I'm from Ukraine, I started taking up a hobby. My first drone is Meteor 75 Pro, but I decided to build a new, more powerful drone. I made a choice between the Gprc 35 and the speedibi, I listened to bloggers that the hypersi is not a comfortable frame. I decided to assemble the drone using spare parts. I'm glad that the 35 is a very productive frame. I have not yet decided what type of connection I will use. Did I understand correctly that you can install both an analog and digital video translator in the pro frame?

    Hi. I came into chasing Motorcross events this summer. These bikes aren't that extrem fast, I guess around 70-80 km/h so about like a drift car, but they slow down a lot in narrow corners and than have a crazy acceleration. Until now I used my normal 5'' or better a 6'' rig with gopro and that was fine performance wise. but I got asked to film whole race events when there are about 100-120 drivers on the track during the same time. you can imagine the chaos and such. What I'm trying to ask is, if you can think of a way to get this sucker up into the performance range of a 5 inch rig, like slapping the apropriate big motors on, and still behold the advantage of the prop guards ?(I would fly between dozens of racers the whole time and they will not have the possibility to look out for my drone, they are racing for the national chanpionship).
    Or would you simply advice against a 3.5 inch for the job? thanks for your advice and the work you are doing. Best ImpFPV

    If you had to choose between cinelog35, bee35 and oddityrc XI35, which one would you choose?

    • @BaconNinjaFPV
      @BaconNinjaFPV  Před 8 měsíci

      I would likely take the XL35 out of the list due to the floating attachment of the ducts...that tends to mean broken standoff points and possible vibration. Then it would be between the Bee35 and the Cinelog and at that point I would have to give it to the Bee. I love the CL35 and it has been my go-to cinewhoop for over a year now, but the quality of life odds and ends on the Bee really help the usability in the long run. Access to the stack is always tough in these things and relocating that USB is super helpful! Also with the purpose built O3 compartment on the Bee it makes flashing/SDcard access so much better. Now if you are talking about something other than the O3 system (or vista/HDzeroFSv2) that doesn't have the square brick form factor, it gets to be a little closer call...but the Bee still gets it for those little extras.

    I have a 30x30 Speedybee stack sitting on my desk. Given your information about space, do you think it would be problematic in a build? WIll it be virtually impossible to use on this frame?

    • @BaconNinjaFPV
      @BaconNinjaFPV  Před 8 měsíci +1

      It can absolutely be done with a full size stack like that, you will just have to be really picky about what VTX you run. The O3, air unit, and HDZ Freeztyle v2 are going to be pretty tall if you want full stack height in there.

    I just bought my bee35 and I still don't know which engine to choose. I am only used to the 5" fresstyle and it is my first smaller inch drone and my first cinewhoop.
    Can anyone help me or recommend engines? No matter how much I look, I only see very different size recommendations for use with lipo 6s (from people who recommend 14xx to others who say 2105.5 is better and I'm very, very confused).
    What motor would you recommend for, as I said, 6s and gopro 11 mini?
    Thank you very much and very good review!

    • @BaconNinjaFPV
      @BaconNinjaFPV  Před 8 měsíci +1

      my personal preference would be for something like a 2203 for size. it is a bigger motor than some of the other options, but it will give you enough authority and if you need to run more blades on the props to carry a heavier load then it will have the torque for that :) The trick is finding one in that size with the correct motor mounting holes since this is a little smaller than what most things in that size come in. Make sure to double check that whatever you wind up with has a 12x12 mounting pattern.

      @@BaconNinjaFPV Thanks a lot!. What do you think of the t-motor 2203.5 2850kv for 6s and 4s, are they worth it or would you recommend others?

  • @chrisbee5481
    @chrisbee5481 Před 8 měsíci +1

    Hey, you said you used 1604 motors and 3000kv for 6s.
    A closer look and it's a t-motor 1804 2400kv.
    Those hqprop 90mmx5 are way too much prop for those motors.
    I've done a ton of different motor prop combo testing.
    If you are sticking to these motors on this build, try the hqprop 3.5x2.8x3 .
    Maybe gemfan 3630 if they fit into the ducts too.

    • @BaconNinjaFPV
      @BaconNinjaFPV  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Yup, you got it! I thought I had the 1604 on here and said it wrong...but for sure too much prop on either case. I would highly recommend a 22xx or 2004 at minimum for slinging these and tri-blade is likely a better option for some weight ranges this could be in. I had originally ordered 2203 for this build, but the motor mounting didn't wind up being the same so I went with the tmotors to get it in the air.

    • @luisbarron3956
      @luisbarron3956 Před 8 měsíci

      Can you advise which motor mounting wouldn’t work? I have the t-motor 2203.5 sitting my cart for this build that I’m hoping would be good to carry a full GoPro 11.

    • @chrisbee5481
      @chrisbee5481 Před 8 měsíci

      @@luisbarron3956 that tmotor has 12x12 mounting. That should fit. 16x16 does not fit.
      If you want my option: go for a 2006 motor from speedybee or axisflying. 1950kv for 6s and hqprop 90mmx4.
      2203.5 pancacke motors are not that good and in general pretty small. Basically Same stator volume as a 2004.5 motor.
