I didn't. It was beautiful. That whole scene. From her telling him about the beach scene to him sacrificing himself. I was done after he died. I felt for Max.

Billy was an asshole but, when it came to the truly evil things, he knew what he was doing (forced to) was indeed terrible and he felt guilty for it even though he was being controlled (so it technically wasn't his fault).

Just like billy, he bullied just like his father bullied and abused him. Instead billy did love max but was kind of a shit brother and didn’t let her now he really felt.

one thing I love about watching interviews with Dacre is that he's so naturally well spoken; it makes hearing about his experiences and his moments in the industry so much more interesting to learn about imo
First time i watched an interview from him. Tbh, he seems to have a lot of potential as an actor and seems to really care about developing his acting....the part when he says that he talked to the duffer brothers to humanized Billy as a antagonist character, and they wrote the scene with his dad being an ass to Billy.
I will be very surprised if Dacre doesn't get any movie contract in the future.

When eleven said to billy “you we’re happy “ and then put her hand on his cheeks, it was it like the most beautiful and realistic scene I’ve ever seen litterly feeling like you were there and when max cried it just feels like it was your brother. Never saw and felt a scene soo fantastic so major thank u to dacre, Sadie and millie to make that scene amazingly realistic and heartbreaking ❤️

Why did Billy have to go? He’s the most broken and most interesting character. He evolved during s3 and he sadly didn’t have a choice to break free from the Mindflayer. I’m heart broken, I was hoping he would be rescued and we would have seen a closer relationship grow between Billy and Max since he went through this mess.
although his death was so heartbreaking i think it needed to happen in order for him to truly redeem himself.
Because people hated him, but once we learned the story we understood his importance. They wanted to show us something. We all miss Billy but don't worry, we still have Hopper.
They killed him off because that was part of the story and that's how stories work. Writers dont write to cater to your strange desires just because you enjoy someone. The story was written as it was because that's how they envisioned it. Go and wrote your own story and you can keep whoever you like alive. Billy served his purpose and his death was purposeful and meaningful. What's fascinating is that one of the most important characters, Hopper, died yet these teenage dorky girls are stuck on another character because they're attracted to him who didnt even mean shit to anyone or do what Hopper did for 4 seasons to save those that he loved.... absolutely mind blowing.

Alexie technically played a bigger role than billy, he was simply a host for the mind flayed that coincidentally had a troubled background so, they didn't carry anything, everyone plays their role, everyone deserves recognition, everyone got recognition, it's disrespectful to say that they carried the show when the other actors that played Dustin/Steve/Robin/Joyce/Hopper played their part perfectly and made a really good subplot that tied everything together. So do not say that they carried anything, because they didn't, everyone played their role.

I highly agree, Avengers Endgame was spoiled for me the day after it came out on social media. I avoided social media and anything Stranger Things on the internet until I finished the show. I don’t binge because I have a short attention span but finished it tonight.

In their respective seasons they have the most interesting and most emotional story. I'm sorry for the other actors, some are seriously underutilized and have mediocre stories that don't value them. Fortunately they have other films in which they can shine, for example Charlie Heaton is brilliant in all his works and Finn Wolfhard is A +++ in IT and I hope he will have better roles in the future. Meanwhile I wait for The Elephant Man with Charlie and IT 2 and (above all) The Goldfinch with Finn.

The mind Flayer kind of feeds of the vulnerable, or emotionally broken I guess. I guess that's why those who survived survived, they had each other, even if they were individually vulnerable they all had each other. Billy and the rest of the flayed didn't have each other.
Dacre has superstar written all over him. Can't wait to see his future projects.

David Harbour as Hopper and Dacre as Billy did some seriously amazing acting. I find them most memorable. I love the whole cast but those two really went all in this season.

Dacre Montgomery did an incredible job portraying the struggle and all the pain that Billy encountered. His performance was mesmerizing.... scenes where he may have physically been doing harm, you could see the tears in his eyes...you knew he didn't want to do what he was being made to do. It was so so good. Bravo!
That one scene where he's threatening El in the cabin and a single tear just rolls down his cheek. So perfect. His eyes really did speak volumes.
He was like RDJ in his early age. Best actor of the season 2. He is not just did good acting, he caught the soul of the 80s, and made a perfect bully guy of that times.

Billy has to be my favorite character. When he first appeared in the show I knew something wasn’t right, and he wasn’t always rude and aggressive. Dacre really made Billy into such an intriguing character and from the first episode he appeared in I knew he was going to make the show so much more interesting and fun to watch. Dacre is such a kind and loving person in real life, which most people seem to forget because of his character but in reality, Billy saved Eleven and the others. I’m really looking forward to seeing Dacre in more shows and movies, he is just so incredibly talented.
Pro tip: if you haven't finished the new season don't watch a video where the actors talk about their character's plot in the new season.
I love that they played upon his treachery of being the bully/bad guy, but also redeemed him to show why he was the way he was and made the viewer actually care for him. Also, that Max actually cared about him in a way that wasn't necessarily obvious in Season 2.
She prolly always knew and felt sorry for him. It probably wasn’t until after he left her alone that she was able to remember that it wasn’t all his fault.
Some things that really stands out from Dacre is he's so well-spoken about how he sort of does his acting. The way he actually says he acts Billy in his eyes but then Flayed Billy in his physicality, the way he describes it being like I think he said it being like a rubber band? When it snaps that's when Billy breaks and stuff, it makes a lot of sense and the comparison is spot on. He's very passionate about being an actor and is sort of more vocal about his love for his craft in comparison to other interviews with actors I've seen (so far) and it's so nice to hear about it, I love to see people who are vocal or at least it can be seen that they love what they do and there's an actual passion in pursuit of their craft. You can definitely tell he's totally hardworking from the way he said he took a risk with the audition tape and did it right when he got the email, how much effort he's definitely put into his character (from talking to those behind the scenes about humanizing Billy to that need to make Billy part of the escapism Stranger Things provides). It's wonderful to hear him talk about these things.
Tremendous actor... I think he did the best job as far as acting goes in season 3. That sauna scene! Wow! Talent being shown at max effort. Well done

One thing I noticed about Dacre is his eyes, in every scene with Billy the eyes just outshines everything

I've always loved Billy's character because I knew that there was something making him the misunderstood villain, other than evil douchebag. When he died it was such a horrifying moment because Billy knew what he was doing saving El and apologizing to Max.

I don’t get why peoples hate him tbh. He’s obviously more than just a simpleton asshat if they pay attention. They just hate him because they like Steve. Then Billy coming in pushing the school prince around. But that’s how rivalry work.. and I like both characters.

I love listening to him talk. He has such a presence, he’s so down to earth and wise. I’m so heartbroken over what they’ve done. Bring him back! Seriously. His acting was amazing and I would’ve loved to see what else he could bring to the show in the future and his relationship with Max.
it’s genuinely mesmerizing to watch this guy in interviews. he really has a lot of thought and meaning behind the things he says- and seemingly, just life in general. an incredibly intelligent man with an understanding and want-to-know-how mindset toward people and characters. he has easily made his way into my list of fave actors
This young man is incredibly well spoken and intelligent for his age. Very impressed with his performance in both seasons, I feel like he will go very far as an actor. Wonderful interview.

i love how Dacre speaks about the grey area. The grey area is the most interesting part of being human. Really enjoying Stranger things because they explore the good and bad in many characters. Thats what i really liked about Steve and Billy in s3
