Before Laura and Shawn announced the award, Laura talked about how Shawn had a huge hit with "Lullaby" which went straight to no. 1 on the Adult Top 40 Charts. So Laura asked Shawn if he would sing a little bit of the song. Shawn said he would be happy to, and he had his guitar with him. And it was great.

Yep, before this American Music Awards, Aerosmith made a commitment in Boston, and they toured in Boston for their worldwide Nine Lives tour, so during this time, Aerosmith was on vacation from touring.
