So far this year, I feel like niantic is actually gonna try do better this year, making the game more fresh with qol updates. Sure they probably won't do anything about remote raids. But hopefully 2024 is the start of a better era then 2023 was. Bug fixes, gen 8 getting some love, adding in some actually useful things like gigantamax raids and finishing off sinnoh dex ect
I don't care about the price increases I just want them to drop the 5 a day limit

@@Sylvershadeif they know whats best for them they would lower the price. Cheaper more appealing will result in more sales which means more money, and the players would be happier and incentivized to keep buying. Is like they dont think do they?

I get why you can't remote raid the shadow pokemon, but it's still frustrating sometimes. I live in a more rural area, i cant always be at the stop when it spawns and i can't always find people to raid with. No remotes means I can't invite 99% of my friends list, and I can't beat those pokemon alone.

My first Sierra encounter of Taken Treasures, and I landed a 8/12/6 IV Shiny Shadow Tentacool!
This was immediately followed by a 13/14/14 IV Shadow Ho-Oh raid!
Are u gonna purify?
@@miroparisgarcia9563 …I’m not sure. I know I’d get a purified hundo out of it, but no other shadow Ho-Oh I caught comes close to that one’s IVs. I know that I will be keeping the Tentacool as is though.

There were big noticeable biome differences back in 2016-2017, but now that some kind of event is on almost all the time, plus seasonal spawns and weather boosted spawns, the difference from biome to biome is barely noticeable. I hope this means they’re bringing back some more variation 🎉
1:58 Also, i caught shadow slowpoke and shadow snover over the past couple days so unless i missed them since 2017, they’re new too(it’s very possible i did but i collect shadows for my shadow living dex and didn’t have either)
Shadow snover isn’t new as it was in the last rotation as the second slot and slowpoke hasn’t been available since 2020 I think

I barely play during this event but I already get 3 perfect IV Pokemon (2 of them after purification) and 4 shiny which one of this was shadow Zubat.

I know in the past few months you’ve had a lot of criticism, but looking back i think a lot of that actually stemmed from people worrying you were going to stop making pokemon go content, so its nice to see that that isnt the case
Also, in my opinion a good melmetal with double iron bash, in my experience never gives opposing Pokémon to even attack or get any charged moves out. It’s been my clincher for a minute.

You can have way more than that on the super rocket radars. I had seven at one point a year or so ago, and have five right now from stacking the last year's events.
Imagine having 4k item space. Damn. Useful and tempting but not there yet XD Guess I got lucky with my Giovanni encounters as he was the only balloon hovering around for weeks during December. My radar may have glitched or they just started the cap at the turn of the new year. I'm a casual player that didn't start battles til maybe year three after game release, but managed to beat him twice for two shadow Regigigas. The update of item use has been nice. Looking forward to the new biome scenery
We got a visual update that is wild and zarude swings back with poipole making its ultra debut. This season will be wonderful

The shadow pokemon actually has been in the game before this update. I caught a shiny shadow squirtle. And I didn’t think that was possible. ( otherwise. Great video. I’m subbed)
I got a varoom on my first 12 12k eggs. Grinded grunts hard Saturday for the leader battles and hatched today
So I had my rocket research from like 2 events ago. used it and completed showdown in the shadows. Haven’t gotten this events research any idea why?

The encounter from Giovanni will always be guaranteed catch the same way that a shiny legendary from a raid is guaranteed.

i lost a mewtwo from giovanni one time, only because i was on a train at the time and the connection was having some issues, so make sure to catch the kyogre with a stable connection (i got the radar back from support to get the mewtwo again 👍

I have that biomes update and I'm in Texas (1/29/2024). I'm thinking maybe Niantic is updating more than New Zealand and people are just not updating you lol.
i had no idea there isnt base IV's for shadow raids i just got lucky with a 3 star on my first capture for ho-oh

the biomes. = really bad for quick catches (lag each time), slower all around game after update. slightly more immersive. the spawns arent changed to match locations yet.
There was a galarian Articuno at 2:37 in the cluster of rocket stops??? But he didn’t have his daily incense on and didn’t even acknowledge it??

My first boss of the event was arlo and I got the shiny bagon. Insane luck
I feel like it should be illegal to get anything lower than a two star from a five-star Shadow raid.
Those things take a ton of organizing for my small town and it's a big deal to beat one. I got everyone organized and managed to do 3 yesterday, didn't get above a mediocre two star, and I was the only one to not get a shiny. It sucked. XP

I know some dislike battling Giovanni in a balloon, but there’s no decoy in a balloon! So frustrating on the ground

One thing that really sucks is how the game is tailored to those who live in the city compared to the struggle we have living in the country. These people can sit in bed and spin 10 pokestops simultaneously and have access to 5 gyms while not even getting out of bed. While us in the country have to drive 15-20 mins to even spin 1 pokestop let alone find a gym. Don't even get me started about finding a feasible raid. It kind of feels like discrimination at this point. 😥Niantic really needs to work on making the game fun and fair for all players regardless of geographical location. I shouldn't have to live next to a gas station or a Walmart to have the same benefits. This dude sits on his front porch has has 50 pokestops in view on his map. Mine is completely desolate. Guess I shouldn't complain too much because these guys who live in the city have alot more to worry about than a stupid game. I love living in the country and have alot more "real life" benifits. Guess I should just find a game that is more suited to be played in the country and just leave pokemon go to the "city folk".
If Niantic wanted to make Pokémon go better than they would lower the cost of the Remote raid passes back to 100 poke coins each.

13:54 we used to basically have the biomes and it sucked it may not effect you the guy who can spend money to go across the world for every pokemon event but it sucked when the game first came out for those of us who live in one biome and didn’t get anything except sandshrew spawns all the time
Hate how the fact THIS UPDATE, made my phone INCOMPATIBLE. It was fine at first but then it all started to lag crazy.
Im so pissed man… drove around all day with my girlfriend to do ho-oh raids but NO ONE was playing the game and we couldn’t do it together because it’s too hard. It’s so frustrating because I really wanted one…

My first shadow Kyogre was a 98% and since I haven’t got a hundo Kyogre and now I got my first hundo primal Kyogre
Please just give us a gym leader challenge this year, literally every creator I watch has been asking for it for the past 3 years. The closest we got was the trainer challenge during Johto Tour, so it feels like the capability is there.
Can you get multiple kyogre from Giovanni during these event?

Shadow Legendries needing to be completed in person only is one of the biggest dealbreakers for me (aside from Niantic constantly forgetting to 'switch on' features when advertised).The community where I am locally is dying/is already dead, so being locked out of some of the most powerful pokemon because more people aren't playing near me is incredibly disengaging.
Best way to get the best stats of shadow Kyogre is if it’s raining weather boost when you go to catch it after defeating Giovanni. In my opinion this was the easiest Giovanni yet.
From what I'm told that's not true. I've heard that the weather boost affects the cp but not the ivs on shadow pokémon. Not 100% sure about it though.
@@brianbrewer2909 I feel that. I feel usually the higher the cp, generally the better IVs. I’m honestly not sure if it’s true or not. I wasn’t able to try it. But it came from a reputable source. So in my opinion it’s a good idea to try it. Since mine was a 1* 😭

My thought exactly! 😅 Did 6 Ho-Oh raids today with two friends. We were the only ones playing. Local raids are annoying when you live in a small place, so much easier when you can invite friends to remote raid.

Shadow raids not being able to be remoted into has really taken the steam out of me. I live in a rural area and rewarding people simply because they live in dense populations is very off-putting and fiscally erroneous.

We just got the graphical update in the UK and I hate it, its made a lot of peoples games run really poorly, and because you cant turn of the 3D environments i have to catch pokemon in what feels like 5fps
