BEAGLE Tapes: Episode 46 - Chad Muska and Reno

- At a 14 stair in Pasadena, Eric Koston attempts a nollie heelflip and Braydon Szafranski attempts a fakie kickflip. The combination of height and length prevails, and the boys come up empty handed. Upon Chad Muska's request, Reno, the underdog, throws a boneless down the 14 and rides away victoriously. Muska, keeps the street lit and Atiba Jefferson gets the flick.
The following day, at a bus station off the 101 freeway, Chad Muska stakes his claim on a never-touched wall-grind. Chad begins a dance of madness, it takes two to tango. The spot and skater, confidence and creativity, all it takes is ONE. First round knock out, swagger like Mic-Fuckin-Jagger. Against the grain on the 101, a path less traveled. Circa 2006.
Braydon: 1000 attempts 0 makes
Chad: 1000 roll ups 1 make.
Braydon has the lamest style.
One of the greatest mental battles ever caught on tape! The Muska and Beags making history together 👊🤘🤙
True!
We had that friend who would waste like 15 minute of film saying "right here" lol
this is the exact night he went out with Paris Hilton my guy Muska is all excuse LMAO
Chad muskas roll ups are hilarious what a legend
Thats why chad muskas clothes were so clean
Take a shot every time Chad says “right here”
Im drunk
I died, thanks
Haha. That shit was scary af tbh
im shirfaced and ready for some more beagle tapes TY
I woke up in the hospital
Muska madness psych out. Then nails it first try.
@Meechy Sosa but wouldnt make it first try ;)
@Meechy Sosa and not land it for 27 visits lol
In transworld anthology they talk about muska landing everything on first try and how much footage they got in one day.
@Meechy Sosa Smh , says the man talking behind a keyboard instead of actually being out in DEM STREETZ TRYING IT HIMSELF ! Lets talk about how many attempts it would take for you to pull this off. I wonder if you would even try at all ?
That's pretty cool actually. He's being super mental and theoretical about it, reeling mental imagery back and forth, creating the pattern for a first try hammer, instead of just trying out, eating shit and creating the pattern out of real experience of it. In a way very non-skater minded approach, that you see more often in academics and theoretical sciences.
Muska Rolling up 10min for a 5050 is more motivating than a 10min nyjah part
U know why? Cause Nyjah wear long white socks with shorts all the time. I dont like that elementary school look.
Lol let the man Live! hahah
Not
Couldn’t agree more!!
@@puma0210 You guys are way too concerned with what another man chooses to wear.
somehow he waited till all the stars aligned then got it first try. that was crazy
i wonder how much collective time beagle has spent chillin in the bushes
This is truly some legendary footage Muska is the man.
Muska jumped that 9 like it was a curb
After landing that 50-50 it probably felt like nothing. I thought he was gonna try to 50 the other rail too.
Muska rolling up to that rail is me saying “I’m never drinking again”
I feel
Reno doing boneless and eating boneless
CHICKEN BONE NOWISON
Obsidian Monolith SHAKE JUNT SHAKE JUNT SHAKE JUNT SHAKE JUNT
The Faded Line GET THERE WHILE YOU CAN
Obsidian Monolith Ever see the movie Gangs of New York based in the 1860s? Such a sick ass movie
Muskas like a skateboard dj. He just builds the hype until the drop lol
Can’t believe this is free 🙌
Memories.... Beagle your the man for keeping all this history alive and blessing the new generation thanks
Holy shit that whole segment of chad just rolling up and then landing it first try was so awesome, it just shows if you commit usually things will go well
Lol, for you. I would have got caught in the rail and died
Facts, it's all just a mental mind block like Jamie Foy front crook on El Toro he was hesitant for years and lands it first try
lmao what? It showed that he literally didn't commit like 200 times.. if anything it shows that if you take your time and don't go until you think it's right then it might work out
BEAGLE Tapes: Weekly meet up.
Hell yee
We’ve all been that dude before I think. The roll up dude.
The dude is Chad Muska. He is a legend. You should know his name. Now you know and hopefully never forget. Or a Bagpack will come and get you in your dreams
But chad did huge rail!
Meyger :D I know it was Muska. We’ve just all been the “roll up dude” in that crazy mental space. That’s all I was saying
I do this all the time. I try not to kick out my board when I actually go for it though. I love the mental aspect of skating.
after the hour of yelling like a crazy homeless man then he lands it as the cops walking up tremendous
never seems crazy if you're familiar with Reynolds OCD
fucking like... 10,000 ride ups and then nails it first try lmao
I yell the same wat shut frustrating
Crying with laughter at muskas roll up. We've all been there but it's so funny to watch from an outside perspective
Muska was straight tweaking on that wall rail. Hahaha
I was 4 sure rocking with Chad hoping he did that grind and sure enough he did, I felt for him, I know that feeling, big up Beagle tapes.
Fuck, that feeling trying to overcome your own mind
Muska's madness ending up as a first T 50-50 was inspirational as fuck
Muska and Hosoi are skating's biggest rockstars
First T Muska
When you visualize the run up so many times
All that's left is to do it
The mental battle that is displayed through Muska here is priceless🙌
Hells yeah, Beagle! That was like a Muska stand up bit! Got that first try tho! Hells yeah, Muska! Koston in the mix!
Muska being a lighting man to Beagle's recording of Braydon and Koston skating. What a mix, man !!
I think this is my favorite one so far. Thanks!
muska rolling up a bunch of times to that hand rail goes to show skateboarding is 80% mentality
Beagle is an American treasure. Global even. Goes to the car to get more superglue, keeps filming for 30 years
Shout outs to Beagle on that one, Beagle is one of the best filmer/hypemans 👋👋🤜
Muska can get all the time he needs. Legend hits it first try. You can’t say nothin on that

That was so worth waiting for! Love watching the mental hype-up.
the fact muska still did that shit after rolling up so many damn times is straight legendary.. iconic shit.. thanks beag
Muska hyping himself up for that rail reminds me of my pug circling 200 times before she pees. K right here. K right here. K I got this right here.
These tapes are gold!!!!
JUST as a security was walking behind him, he commits. what a legendary moment
Nah that dude was there the whole time, you can see him watching from up top at 15:30
Crazy how much effort they put into making that set skateable, I guess LA was really that much of a bust back then, at least that’s how skate mags and video portrayed it
wait it's not a bust now?
This is amazing cause I thought i was the only one who gets scared like this so glad to see others go through this to
Sick Beagle. Thank you again
Muska !
The Muska process is the best
Thank you Beagle!
that muska part was incredible. So fun to watch the whole process.
My guy The Muska turning "roll ups" into "troll ups" for the lulz XD
Muska straight up did it for Beagle ❤️💯
Makes me so happy seeing him grind it.
This is real skateboarding the true mentality a passionate filmer getting it done with a true legend
That's dope hope to see more of these 👊
Yeah Beagle!!!! I need me a green sweater for the rest of the year mayne!!
20 min of a mental battle is worth it for that! Holy shh it does look really scary from our point of view...Chads view is even scarier..then he makes it first try! Last thing he says before he goes is "for my man Beagle"!Legendary Muska footage so rad to see all the work that goes into these tricks
Muska is the man!!!!the boneless of Reno's wow!!!Beagle and Atiba is the best combo!!!yeah I'm hyped
2:30 I love Eric’s roll up/away 2:24

Muska is just the man😂🙏
A skateboarders persistence is unmatched.. you could bail 20 times in a row and after every bail you be like “this is it” or “ok i got this right here” lol gotta love it.
This song plays in my head constantly now
dudes flying hell ya thanks beagle
Is it weird i was waiting for this one? 🎥💥. the nostalgia feels were strong on this clip! i still have the Transworld cover of this. i always look at this period as the MU$KA's last hurrah sadly (as far as big handrails). This made my day, thank you! 🙏.
Yeah, those kids couldn't imagine that they were watching the last stand of Muska's legendary skate career
God I love muskas attitude as well as beagle through all of that. Both show up knowing what has to be done, and both handled business. Professionalism
Muska is a legend. He is my hero. He was my first skateboard deck. Shortys is coming back and im so pumped ! if you talk shit about his roll ups then you dont know how much of a mental battle it is to jump down stairs.
Chad Muska, the king of edging. 🔥🔥🔥
Imagine hopping off the schools bus and seeing The Muska drop this Hammer
Legit no hand touch that was insane Chad Muska is a boss 🔥
20:14 was so worth the wait

crowd Cheering was the cherry on top
Much love from Tulsa
More Muska Yayyyyy happy days
That's why Muska's a legend✨
Muska had me EDGING dude
Hellz yeah. Muska is my favorite skater of all time. There just isnt enough footage of him on youtube.
I've rather watch the few clips of him skating on his prime than 90% of youtube's skate videos
@@fernandomaron87 yep
MUSKA don’t fall 🤘🏼☺️ HELLSIC,G!
Dang that nollie heel!
I love these videos. It shows a side of Pro skaters we rarely see. When I was young and skated all we got in mexico was actual video parts without bails. We thought they were so perfect and we were so far off. Watching this really makes me realize that we weren't that bad after all.
Thats all we got in the USA back then too.I went to a World Industries demo in Allaqippa PA outside Pittsburgh in like 1993.Kareem Campbell,Richard Mulder,Jeron Wilson,Rodney Mullen(his ankle was hurt and didn't really skate) and a couple other guys were all there skating. They were giving out T-shirts that said "I saw The World Industries guys skate and they weren't as good as I thought"
I've been wondering for years why nobody from Mexico is killing the skate game! Take a guy like David Gonzalez.Supposedly he comes from a part of Brazil that has NOTHING to skate and he came out killing it.Seems like every country(except Middle East and African countries) has at least one guy who's a top pro except for Mexico? Why is that? There has got to be good skaters and good skate spots all over Mexico
Muska knew he had it all along, just had to get the perfect run up
My weekly counseling is here
20:15... And that's what legends and made of kids!!!
couldn't help but cheer for the muska even though i knew the outcome
Legendary
Muska is a legend
wooooow i never knew Beagle filmed that 50 50 down the rail against the wall. mind blown
legendary
That’s what u call visualization from the muska 😂 🔥
Right when the security guard came!!!! Lets go Muska!!!!
hell yea beagle!
This was intense
This is insanity
what a fucking machine. he measured that thing till there was no room for error. that was insane.
Koston's style is impeccable
