Our work takes place in all kinds of places where we can get injured. Yesterday I was on a roof for one rescue, and then I crawled under a house for another rescue... so many things can go wrong, and in this case, Katie fell into an unusual trap!
All we ask for is your support so we can continue doing this work every day! Earlier today, I was on a roof again with Loreta, and as I am writing these lines (Saturday afternoon), we are waiting for another rescue call... there are no days off here.

You not only saved this family, but by trapping, spaying, neutering, and homing these sweeties (or soon to be) you have probably saved 100 kitties. So rewarding.

.in Australia we'd still be worried about the amount of wild life they'd kill by releasing them back out in the wild.
@@sheiladevin6034 that's a concern here as well, so what some will do is feed a spayed/neutered colony of ferals, so they won't need to hunt wildlife we need, but they also help to keep rodent populations in check.... But it's a tricky balancing act for sure....
Bottom line it’s not the cats’ fault they’re homeless and feral - that’s on the humans. Hopefully over time TNR and care of colonies reduces the detrimental impact on birds and other wildlife. Wildlife populations face so many threats - most of them also man-made. Thank goodness for the humans at HFP who help cats, dogs AND wildlife!

Poor Katie. She really looked like she’d been put through the ringer by the end of the day! Mom (and dad) must have been doing a great job. Those were three plump, healthy looking kittens.

What a Fluffy, Puffy, Muffy, Floofy, Poofy nice family! Thanks to whomever called HFP and kept such a sharp eye out for the entire family. That's great they all got taken for medical care (and hopefully loving, forever homes soon). Katie, great job, especially handling the water hazard and dirty, wet pile of leaves. You were a real trooper for the rescue of these fur babies! Love all your names for this adorable family. Wonderful rescue, as always! ☝

I found a kitten in my wife's engine. I was able to catch it. It tried to kill me with its little murder mittens. But she failed. I wrapped it in an old t-shirt and held it for several hours. It had never had human contact before that day. After several hours, it trusted me and ate from my fingers without trying to bite. After several more hours, she purred and was happy. My wife is highly allergic to cats but she helped hold her and get her used to human contact. After a week, we found her a forever home. My wife cried a bit. She had turned into such a loving kitty. But the family that took her in has been good to her.
I absolutely love hope for paws...trained professional in animal rescues. I give respect for all involved. That is LOVE....that's what sup ❤️🥰😍😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

I have a soft spot for DLH brown tabbies on white. My first kitty I had after I moved out on my own was colored like these beautiful babies. I found her in my car engine on a cold winter's day. I've had many different colored cats, including my black Sootie on my lap right now, but I still have my heart tugged by seeing a DLH brown tabby on white. Thank you for saving these babies.

I love how Mama and Papa still protecting them once they got reunited. ❤ thats a real cat family! I have one cat family thag we rescued and they still act like husband and wife and they are helicopter cat parents🚁 🙀 and they REFUSE to leave them alone... they have to see them at all times... they are 9 months old and they cant stand to be away from them or each other. I couldnt adopt them out cause i felt they would have serious separation anxiety .. one time the one kitten got shut in the bedroom and i found the mama papa and sister all waitjng for the little girl to come out of the room... and they were incredibly vocal... you would have thought that she was injured but no she was just chillin on the bed and her family just about had a heart attack... there were claw marks on the wall and door... it was only 1 hour.

Thank you for saving Mom AND Dad!! Hopefully they will tame down but if not, at least the babies have had the chance to be raised by their family and the adults will be spayed and neutered b4 you release them back to their home where the kindly neighbor will surely feed them. But hopefully they will tame down and can experience life in a home, ideally together.

I wish we had this kind of help for kitties where I am now, and kitten season will be starting in March again... They are beautiful and should get adopted fairly quick... No more babies for you mom and dad, now you just get to be cats without the difficulties and heartache....
I don't know where you are but maybe you can find some supporters to start T-N-R. There is always a way! Never give up! And you know: EVERY life matters!
@@calimero600 I'm in southern Alabama. And found out last March how bad the issue is statewide when I had a mama cat give birth in my driveway. I couldn't find ANY help. In terms of finding space at the shelter for the family, and then spoke with them about it.... The TNR programs here that I have found, put all the work and cost on the person who wants the ferals to be cared for. I'd have to pay for the traps, the vet, all care, etc.... And I simply can't afford to do that.... Now mama is living with me, and I was finally able to get one of her kittens a space to be fostered. But I was in the hospital for 2 weeks in October and 3 of the kittens (7 months old) dissappeared..... So I was able to save mom and 1 of her babies for sure.... Which completely broke my heart.... I still want to help...
@@rondameier8168 Thank you for everything what you did. Don't feel bad because EVERY life matters and you helped two of them. Maybe one day you will find some people and you can help more cats together. After some years I found a nice vet who helped us to T-N-R at least over 20 cats. Not enough but great for these sweet guys... Never give up! 👍🐾🐱
