Keep your doors and windows locked at all times and stay on your guard. Maybe consider also calling the cops if you've seen someone around or looking at you or acting strange as well

It’s so much fun and it’s mainly for me but if people enjoy it that just makes me more happy 😃 about three years ago my dog died of 15 years and I wanted to die right along with her. she was my only child. Everyone should always check, doors and windows before going to bed. I have wind chimes, on my door to my apartment. This way, I know if someone tries to come in, while I'm in bed. My apt., isn't big. But I used to be in shower,and my one caregiver used to walk in and start talking startling me. I strongly suggest it. My chimes are small,not big.
