I like them both. The EDP is the one I use the most because I am in a t-shirt 90% of the time, but when I want to dress it up, the Le Parfum seems to fit perfectly.
Yeah both Y EdP and Le Parfum are awesome! I tend to reach for the EdP way more often as well, but Le Parfum has been on my skin for at least a few dates.. Really nice!
Thanks guys. I just bought the edp and edt, the edt doesnt get woody/ almost leathery just stays fresh, both are great. I smelled the la parfum at store but wasnt too into it, Still a great scent. But imo most guys will love the citrus aromatic edt and edp, both are stellar no brainer reaches when wanting to smell good.

I have both EDP and Parfum. I prefer the Parfum as it is darker and last longer imho. I still wear the EDP to the office, the Parfum on nights and weekends. Can’t go wrong with either one.

Interesting comparison. I own the EDP and its an easy to like versatile scent. I've sprayed the Parfum in-store and was impressed but didn't feel the need to rush out and buy it. I've had a brilliant day with 2 fantastic new fragrances arriving, namely Zaharoff Signature Rosé and Xerjoff JTC 40 Knots. I can't get over how good both are - I'm actually blown away. A rare event!

Nice format, with the two of you, clean background and just a table with fragrances. Le parfume lacks that juicy, green apple sparkle the Edp has. I have the Edp in my office and summer rotation. Le Parfum is sitting on the "nice dinner out in the evening" shelf. But you could easily use both at any time or occasion imo. Very similar.
Thank you! Same for me really.. Y EdP is used so much more than Le Parfum. I've used it to the gym, when going on dates, to formal events and just for any of those casual moments.. Both are 👌 though

Hi! Feel free to check out my latest 'everyday' fragrances video. Y EDP and Y EDP intense are great everyday kind of scents. That scent profile works throughout the year to pretty much any occasion. Ahhh, I wish this video came out recently! I'm having trouble deciding on Intense vs the original EDP - they're both absolutely amazing and beautiful fragrances in their own regard. I guess what it comes down to is do I want to be somewhat playful and youthful or do I want to go full serious? I feel like the Parfum and Intense (EDP) are similar in that regard in that they are both very serious/professional fragrances. So for my personal use currently, I'm leaning towards more the original EDP for the playfulness it has
I recommend the EDP quite often and I do so because it's an easy to wear scent that smells great, that's incredibly versatile and it's also a mass appealing compliment getter.
Can't go wrong with it.
Not sure Y edp intense is better than the OG edp.. I think I need to do a comparison of the two 😊 Both are nice scents and both are scents I think is really hard to go wrong with.
I do enjoy La parfum more then Edp it's more mature it's Fresh Aromatic and dry down smell like fabric softener 10+ hour on my skin Fantastic.

I agree almost exactly with everything both of you said in terms of the scents within each. I prefer the less woody and more 'flat' Parfum because my tastes are to be less woody and less spicey but you both were spot on about the details.

It's interesting to note that they are both edp concentration if I'm not mistaken even though one is marked as edp and the other is labeled as le parfum which is also an edp contenration. But with the edp being fresher in the dry down come paired with the le parfum being darker and less fresh, it becomes less prominent in the dry down than the edp feeling like I'm getting a better value with the edp meaning that it's lasting long on my skin then the le parfum.

Scent-wise the EDP is better with more character, the Parfum is a bit more serious and smoother.

I think the Le Parfum is heavier and more of a dressy, fall/winter scent whereas the Eau de Parfum is more of a casual, lighter, spring/summer fragrance.
Hi! Le Parfum definitely feels a bit more heavy and I like that they are different in that way. I like both the EdP with it's sort of brightness and Le Parfums more sort of condensed and slightly heavier feel 👍
I bought the Le Parfum first (not knowing that it was a flanker) and EDP was what I really wanted, so I went out and got the EDP……only cost me $300 to buy both…..

@@cxntsnipe4769 I tried them both. Le Parfum smells more intense, darker, dressier, somewhat mysterious and overall sophisticated. I also receive far more compliments from ladies when I wear Le Parfum. As a matter of fact my Son’s girlfriend got into the car with my family to go out to dinner and asked who was wearing “that cologne” and went on to gush about how good it smelled the rest of the evening. I get compliments every time I wear Le Parfum. Whereas I haven’t received any real reaction/attention or compliments from wearing Eau de Parfum. So for me Le Parfum is the definite winner.
I own both also. Just got le parfum. I think I prefer y edp. Le parfum is like toned down version of y edp. Smells great it’s just not as loud
Recently ordered le parfum and as a former edp owner I hope it doesn't disappoint I was addicted to the edp and it's definitely my favourite fragrance so far fingers crossed

I'm with Sandra on this one. I liked the opening of the EDP. I agree with rebel that Le Parfum is a bit less daring ('flat' he said), but when EDP dries down, to my nose it became sharper and sharper (and unbearable-sensitive ladie's nose I suppose). Le parfum is softer, more everyday but nicer and smoother.

I am 100% with you on that! There is some note that pops out with the EDP that makes it stand out but i dont like it!! I am not sure how long the Parfum will last on skin as it doesnt pop as much.

Hi! Thank you! YSL fragrances have never been crazy strong on my skin and I do feel both of these are like most other YSL fragrances. Maybe a bit above average but not crazy strong. And I do feel they are sort of equal in terms of strength. At least on my skin 😊

Thank you! Yes why not! It's not a super heavy kind of scent and it's a YSL after all 😆 which means it's lighter and not projecting in a crazy way. If I use it summer time I mostly use it as an evening scent 😊
I like them both and am considering layering le parfum on top of the EDP in the evenings. Both are amazing. EDP for the woody notes and le parfum for the lavender yet creamy scents

Le parfum because it's sweeter and more subtle. It's less sharp. The edp is great too, but I'm a fan of sweet and smooth. Call it flat, I call it more relaxing and sweet.

In pretty much all of my videos where I talk about Y EDP I do mention it's versatility and mass appeal. Works for anyone, anywhere so yes.. Great for like a Go-To scent. 😁👌 YSL Y Le Parfum is (to me) a bit sweeter, a bit deeper and slightly warmer making it more of night time, going out, date night, etc kind of fragrance.
Both work great in pretty much any kind of situation though.
Some guys get GREAT longevity/performance with both, but YSL rarely performs great on my skin.. I would not say they are strong fragrances and they might not cut through on a chilly/cold fall or winter day.
Out of the two though, Le parfum is a bit better for fall/winter.
If you want something warmer, stronger and long lasting for fall/winter then maybe look at other scents. But if you want one of the most versatile and mass appealing scents there is then the EDP is a great choice. I love it because it's so easy to use, works anytime anywhere, it smells great and pretty much everyone loves getting a whiff of it. 😊

I have two bottles of it, one that never leaves my gym bag and I have not noticed a difference between the two.. One is about a year or two old and the other one newly bought 🤷♂️

I went to test yesterday and the Y Le Parfum lasted on my skin no more than 1 hour. Has anyone else notice that? I prefer the Le Parfum over the EDP. I also sprayed on my other arm Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Cobalt EDP and it sort of smelled similar to Y Le Parfum with more wood and it lasted way longer. I even took a shower after coming back home after testing at the store and I could still smell it unlike the Y Le Parfum didn't even make it on the drive home.
I like the le Parfum a bit more, it is less playfull and fresh but more mature, creamy and grown up. At the end i think you get more compliments with the edp. Sooo get both guys😄✌🏼

Both of these will work for office for sure. These are two mass appealing YSL´s that most people will think smell good. 😁 I´d probably go for the EdP more often than the Parfum because of it's sort of more light kind of scent which makes it even more mass appealing.
I'm a big fan of ADG Profumo. Want to try the Y Le Parfum. In terms of performance I want to have an idea whether it can match same of Profumo. Thanks
Hi Vikil! Performance is something that depends on so many different things so a scent can behave in different ways depending on who is wearing it.. That's why there are so many examples where people feel very differently about the performance of a scent.
So I can only share how the two perform on my skin..
Neither is beast mode. I overspray with Profumo and I overspray with Y Le Parfum.
While Armani overall perform a bit better than YSL, they both rarely release "beast mode" performance fragrances and neither of these are (on my skin) strong.
I do feel profumo might be a bit stronger, but it's not a massive difference.
I need to overspray both in order for both to project in a way that I myself enjoy and to get me noticed.

Is it redundant to get the le parfum if you already have the edp? In other words is it a must to get the lp if you already have the edp version which I have about less then half juice left?

But I do not think it's a must have if you already have the edp. Le Parfum is a GREAT scent but I would most likely go for something else from another brand that 's a bit more intense if you are looking for a scent like that 👍

I honestly think most YSL fragrances have less than ideal performance 😂 YSL simply do not make crazy strong fragrances. I usually spray a lot and EVEN MORE when I spray on a YSL fragrance 😊 No idea about different batches though. Just speaking of my experience with YSL fragrances in general 😊

I think that's a fantastic spring scent for men and it also works for summer, but I reach for the EDP more during summer. When it comes to the performance, they are sort of on the same level on my skin. Sometimes the edp performs a bit better sometimes vice versa. I know some people get crazy performance out of them but I rarely get strong performance from a YSL fragrance. On me both are above average but not super strong in any way 😊

Does anyone have or know why the “EDT 2022” has that year distinction? All I could find online was the “Y EDT 2022”, rather than just “Y EDT”. Maybe they reformulated it??
Hi! I could be wrong but I believe they changed the entire scent.
I bought the new 2022 version and ended up loving it and bought the 'old' version of it as a backup thinking it was the new 2022 version.
They are definitely quite different.

@@Jason.cbr1000rr Well I recently got the Y Edp and I also have All the Bleu de Chanels. Honestly, I love them all. If you can get a decant of each, it will be to your benefit as you would know which you prefer. You don't wanna buy a big bottle and you don't like it.
For compliments go with Y Edp, it has abit more power. It is Not to be used in 30°C+ weather unless youre in AC.
@@Jason.cbr1000rr I have both YSL Y edp and BLEU de Chanel edp. There is no comparison. BLEU de Chanel edp gets me compliments every single time I wear it from women in all different age ranges. I’m still waiting to get a compliment from the YSL Y edp. As a matter of fact I ended up purchasing YSL Y Le Parfum today to see if I get a better reaction with this cologne but for me BLEU de Chanel is by far the clear winner. BLEU de Chanel also lasts an eternity on my clothes and me whereas YSL Y edp feels like it wears off super fast. This is just my experience so I cannot speak for anyone else.
@@Jenny_Thalia no compliments from y edp too, only ones I've received from that I have are dylan blue, club de nuit intense man, sauvage and luna rossa carbon. And le male Ultra and edp, and soon I'm hopping for winter azzaro wanted ny night or most wanted.. or pack robbanne whichever has a nice vanilla scent.

ysl did a disastrous job with the LE PARFUM version it smells exactly like the EDP but with worse performance and they simply painted the bottle black with a much higher price tag absolute flop
When u wear it, Le Parfum blends in better and smells richer.

I don't find it sweet at all 😂 there' mayb a hint of sweetness but that's it.. though usually I wear alot heavier and sweeter fragrances (Stronger With You-Line, Le Male-line, Code-line, Eros EdP/Parfum, DHI...) mabye that's why I don't find it that sweet at all.

What the difference with projection between the two
Same same (sort of) on my skin.. These are pretty much like a lot of other YSL fragrances and - at least on my skin - I get a bit above average projection.. I usually spray a lot, and even more with these.
Edp is the best in my nose

Parfum has more character. EDP just slaps you in the face and is fairly synthetic.

Hi! I think most stores that sell the scents carry the different sizes regardless of where you are with a few exceptions.. For some reasons (probably storage) airports don't always carry all bottle sizes 😊

Have you two, or anyone period ever heard of this cologne smelling like playdo after wearing this for hours? Pour homme did that to me and kt was so embarrassing at work that I swore to never wear ysl colognes again. But I have never heard about this one when it comes to playdo.

Why does it seem that le parfum on me starts to fade after 2 hrs
Hi! None of YSL´s are strong on my skin. YSL overall is about average to above average when it comes to performance. I usually spray more to boost longevity and projection
