- This is an up to date Guild Wars 2 guide covering everything you need to know about the Catalyst, which is an elite specialization of the Elementalist. This video shows off all of the weapons the Catalyst can use and looks at all of the individual weapon skills. It also has a look at all of the healing, utility & elite skills the Catalyst has at it's disposal. It then goes on to look at the elite specialization for the Catalyst and what each individual trait does for your character. The video finishes with a short combat demonstration with a basic Catalyst build so you can see what it looks like when it all comes together.

I must say, this was the only video that I could follow the whole time. I'd tried to view all the others but it instantly felt like they were speaking another language given my learning disability. It's nothing against them, but your video is a huge relief for someone who has a hard time learning new information and retaining it.
I'm really glad I could help 😃
Nice.
great video! Thank you!
You're very welcome! 😃
eles can now troll players with lightning hammer skins. I don't really know what to think of this spec. It could be good, but ele has always been very hard to play as I consider it one of the most squishy classes. but it makes sense, because it also got the most skills to make up for it.
Just curious what your graphics settings are at?
Where can I find the area he is in to practice my rotations?
Hi, it's the Pvp Lobby, which is in the upper left of your screen where it says inventory, hero and so on. If you are a free player you need lvl 30 to enter.
@@Zaxeras Thank you
Turn off the auto-cast from your 1 skill. That way youre not covering up the effects, damage, etc of the other skills when youre showing them.
My main is an elementalist, and goes Weaver, and i cannot find any fun playing catalyst: very limited class
It is good that the game gives the player choices
first
Just use the ability when you START talking about it so i do not have to wait all the time to visulasie what are you talking about ;)
Sorry but as main elementalist since years, after beta playtime with catalyst I can say only that this "new cool spec" is a shit from garbage 🗑. Huge disrespect from design team.
As a staff pvp ele main. The catalyst specs seems made for staff. All those sweet sweet fields to blast.. and staff does blasting much better than any other weapon.. and now they're giving us shock aura and poison fields on demand??? I'm glad staff is so difficult to play otherwise this would certainly be nerfed in the future..
Edit: I don't care how the other specs will be against this, they basically made ele extremely tanky AND more offensive.
The hammer is quite useless though, compared to what the other weapons can do with the fields.
EDIT 03.03.2022: I eat my words. The catalyst is not so good now.
EDIT: I lied, the traitline is actually pretty good just the hammer and f5 skills could be better, i made some staff pvp catalyst build guides on my channel, check it out.
