BONUS INFORMATION RELATED TO LEGAL FILMING ISSUES:
In U.S. FAA FAR 91.3 of Pilot in Command Rules, it is said that the "The pilot-in-command of an aircraft shall have final authority as to the disposition of the aircraft while in command." So, I would technically be violating FAA rules, but it would be considered legal because the pilot has final authority. And yes, you are correct when you say that the laws will soon be changed.
Cool... just leave that zoom button alone.
Right and stop panning. You film this or something else, not both.
Nice view of Fort Lauderdale International airport, and the cruise ships. And the beach I go to every weekend..Great video..The South Florida coastline is so beautiful.
With an emotional father-son reunion waiting in August, the video was great and it helped there was little to no chatter to ruin the on board sound. :)
What the hell? The quality is so amazing. The way the camera isn't all over the place. Fantastic video mate, really good!
There is always that moment of silence before landing its soooo eerie.
Beautiful video. You are obviously "absorbed" by the flap/slats etc. I also appreciate the fabulous engineering involved. Well done: keep them coming.
Thanks. Glad you liked it.
Thank you very much for your kind words.
awesome final approach video flapsnslats...plus it's on HD....thank you so much for sharing this ^_^
Great video FlapsnSlats! I love MIA! Thank you!
And I love how he/she was trying to figure out what the point of the video was when it was clearly made to be awesome, in which it succeeded XD nice video!
Really appreciate all the details, runway, etc. having flown into a majority of the larger ones. Nice work.
Smooth zoom and pan. Something I don't see much of in these kind of videos. Nice work!
Dear CZcams viewers- if you don't like a video, move on (plz note J.A.). If you must make a comment, be polite, constructive and thoughtful. I'm tired of reading comments that sound like the gripes of a maladjusted 14 yr. old school boy! I enjoyed the video...it reminds me of how much I enjoyed flying the 75. It was as much fun as the 72 and 76. More powerful than the 72, but not as fast. A bit less stable than the 76 but the control harmony and authority was spot on!
Yes yes that's all fine and dandy but what about the 78?
One of the best I ever saw. Im so used to other vloggers that always at least shake alittle when the plane lands, I see that as normal but you......how did u do that? I saw one of your reply comment...stable hands but how did u keep it steady and beautiful especially when the plane touched the runway? SO BEAUTIFUL that it relaxed me! lol!
That's one dirty bird...
wow dude this is such great quality! u have such a great channel!
Thank goodness the window was clean. Great video.
very nice video!!!! never have i saw one with so much quality!
Great video! You got my school in the shot shortly before touchdown!
Now that.... that was a stunningly beautiful video.
Thank you for recording this, the AA 757s were fantastic to fly and 2011 had so many great 757 flights out of MIA. The A321s they put on those routes aren't half as good
Thank you for the comment! This is one of my favorite videos I’ve posted-glad you enjoyed!
Flapsnslats thanks for posting the video and not puting any music in it. Great job at least to me it was.
really nice.
are you using some kind of tripod here, because the video is really stable, or is it just hand held ?
the best landing video i've ever seen on youtube. thank you for this amazing time
I'm amazed at the strength these flaps have to withstand the wind forces while slowing the plane...and creating more lift for slower speeds. Hydraulic systems are truly amazing. Most people have no idea of the roles they have in our daily lives...starting with the brakes on everyone's car.
I agree with desert digger 1s comment. We have come so far yet we still have so much to learn? Keep watching the skies as one day we will not need planes to fly.. Nice up load..
Excellent footage; really enjoyed this video.
That was FANTASTIC!
Great Video footage! Keep on the good work.
Very good clip, captures the mood of flying well.
Awesome, you could see the dream lifter, nice video
Good vid, dude. loved the close-up shots near landing - showed just how fast that plane was travelling - cool!
Thank you very much.
Nicely done ... great technique ... superior subject.
Man, you've got a nice camera there! Very nice filming. I have never seen the coastline like this! It's incredible to see all those big hotels all lined up. WoW! What's that island thingie at 4:34? And I never knew you could see thru the flaps like that! Great video. Thanks again~
Sorry for the late reply. I think what your looking at is a hotel complex on the intracoastal.
flapsnslats No worries. :-) I guess I just never really looked at the coastline before in such great detail! lol I can now see that there is a long bridge/roadway intersecting the little 'islands' with the resorts and hotels on them. That is almost as cool as Dubai!!! lol Thanks again for such great filming! And for uploading~.
Cool video, upon landing the pilot didnt have to adjust much for wind. Looked like a good day to land in Miami, great detail!
above average photography. Very good.
Very nice video. 757 flaps are very impressive and they are captured here perfectly. Are the winglets aftermarket or stock?
Great camera angle thanks
6:48 look at the background a dreamlifter
This video is AWESOME!!! The image quality is the best and the view is beautiful!
The image quality is both fuzzy because it's low res, even if it's uploaded at 1080p, and jumpy because the photographer makes the amateur's mistake of not being able to decide what he wants to show us in his head, so he has to record everything all the time, resulting in lots of "nothing." There are plenty of *true* high resolution videos on CZcams, and even some in 4K that are truly stunning. This looks like something from 1997.
Built in stabilization, and really steady hands can do the trick.
Amazing footage, what camera was used?
Thanks for uploading.
Great video! I love the way the camera move to give different views of the plane and the city!
I'm always dubious when someone says I 'MUST'" watch a video but this was great.
I usually ask to take footage onboard an aircraft; I certainly did for this flight. Also, I would search the internet for answers to your first question. A plane's speed depends on wind, type of aircraft, and what phase of the flight it is in among MANY other factors. An airliner will usually cruse at around 330 knots, although its actual ground speed, and not airspeed, is around 450 knots.
Wow, love that view of the wings bouncing and vibrating on touchdown, thats the most fun part of any flight! 737s can sure slow down in a hurry! Nice video, thumbs up!
Miami here i come aaaaaawooooooooo tito from Boston nice video teas is falling down
I'm suscribe to your channel man! thanks for share all your great vids.!
Nice video. Maybe pan the camera back behind the wing a bit more often next time for a little more scenery and a little less wing, but still realy nice. Thanks for posting
Got to love the 757
Thanks for the reply. This is really good information to know -- I would suggest that you add your personal comments into your video descriptions in the future, as they are very helpful and also inform people of what you find most interesting. Someone coming in "blind" to this video might be confused, as they're not sure what they're "supposed" to be looking for -- is it an engine failure, a bird, crazy lighting strike, etc. By adding your comments, they can simply enjoy the video as I did.
Lol, attendant: "or whatever your destination may be." Great cinematic video.
Good vid. Changed my life.
Thanks for the comment. This video was taken with a Sony HDR-XR150 camcorder, which is no longer sold, and rather an old camera. These days, I still use that, or the GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition, or a Rebel t3i.
I can assure you that the more modern cameras are far better, but Sony is definitely the top producer of camcorders. A similar but more modern Sony camera will supply the same stabilization results, only in better quality. Shop around on their website, and if you can't find anything, look at the Canon Vixia series. Thanks.
Hey buddy I enjoy the video keep on zooming.
No, its the Boeing Dreamlifter. Pause the video at 6:48, and the body shape clearly shows that aircraft.
WOW! Fantastic HD quality. I'm watching on a netbook and even on this weak little machine the picture quality was superb!
great video love the quality :D
Excellent! What kind of camera did you use?
AMAZING approach and very good quality!
Where's the flight from?
WOW this 1 one of the best I've ever watched, you give the watchers kind of feeling they are really flying, good job, have you more viedo taking off ?
Sony HDR-XR150, specs are always listed below. Thanks for watching!
It's essentially a different variant of the same aircraft, modified for different performance such as increased range and payload, etc.
Do you have a built in gyro in your wrist!? That was some steady and excellent footage!!!
Miami is fantastic
@RicardoNY1 LOL, thanks for the comment. I just have a really stable hand and lots of experience. Some credit must go to the pilots of course for the nice landing! Thanks for watching!
That looked like a real smooth landing!!! Hope you had a great time! Awesome video~
great video , thank you very much
Fantastic vid,such a cool one
Thanks. Sometimes I am a little annoyed, but there really is no point in arguing. Occasionally, some comments get completely annihilated by other users, so the original user will learn from his mistake or careless comments.
Beautiful!!!
ok, that is a crazy flap angle! nearly 90 degrees!
Wow! This was an aesome video! Gotta love flying! After watching this, I want to go to Miami !! What a beautifull city. Thanks for sharing your video!
What a smooth landing.......
Great job mate....
Woooow my gosh.
I swear the most beautiful video I have ever seen!
Wow good job got no more words than that :DD
what camera you using? Great vid :D
It is the Sony HDR-XR150. Nothing spectacular, but definitely a great little video camera.
Cool vid and nice landing what looks like runway 27L @ KMIA
owesome video! thanks for sharing,
This is definitely a 757. The sound the flaps make extending on a 757 is unique, no other flaps sound like that when deployed and the 737 flaps aren't as big as these
Oops. I meant to search for that. Nice landing!
@flapsnslats wow I'm really impressed, I've tried to do that but it have never turned out good
gotta love the 757W :)
I would assume that the winglets are aftermarket, only because American ordered these aircraft decades ago, when the winglets were not present aboard many aircraft at all. Thanks for watching.
If you watch the video again, I believe that you will find that all the incremental flap lowering is present, as well as the spoilers being prominently featured upon landing. However, like you said, I also focused on the features of Miami and the suburbs as well. There's no reason you can't do both. Thanks for watching.
awesome video shot
00:12 Port Everglades and Fort Lauderdale International Airport. Looks like either the Allure of the seas or Oasis of the seas is in port which means this video was taken before 4 pm on either Saturday or Sunday.
Yes, I believe that is what she said.
Sony HDR-XR150, it's in the description :) Thanks for watching.
The best MIA landing I ever saw (becides from landing there myself) Thanks!
Awesome landing... indeed!
Isn't it amazing how man has figured out how to replicate how a birds wing functions through mechanics? But what's even more amazing is the research that must have been done on a common house fly to make F-16s and such fly, they look similar.
DesertDigger1 And yet people still whine about WiFi not working, media tablets not working, sitting on the tarmac two minutes longer than they should. Flying has been taken for granted when it should be the most appreciated feat of mankind.
Actually, I chose not to stabilize this video because it reduces the image quality. For some reason, I held the camera very smoothly that day, which only adds to a better result.
You could not be more mistaken. And if you knew anything about aircraft production, then you would know that a "wingtip" is referred to as a winglet. Additionally, you should have looked up the aircraft registration listed in the description, which would prove the fact that this 757 is operated by American Airlines. Hopefully, the viewers will prove the fact that this is a 757 by liking this comment.
Top class video, one of the best landings that I have seen all the way from maybe 10000 feet with wings and wing flaps extending all the way to landing. There is a lovely piece too where there is slight tubulence and you can see the wings flex. This is a Boeing at its best and Airbus are as good too. Love both of them, sometimes I travel on Ryanair 737, more times on Aer Lingus A320.
Thanks for a great video
Noticed the Boeing 747 Dreamliner parked at 6:48, Pretty kewl...
