Clearly press freedom is always in play, even in America. The halcyon days of the 90s(for press freedom in America)are gone--as soon as the US engaged in more stupid wars, and then 9/11 2001 was used by domestic regressive moral morons to degrade the American way of life in the name of revenge (with the complicity of people who knew better). The military/national security industrial complex will tirelessly work to eliminate press freedoms whenever they can. I still have hope that Assange will be released, though. And Snowden should be pardoned as well.
