If you plan on running for public office, have a reason to do it aside from personal enrichment or as an ego building exercise. Politics as vanity projects is far too common and tiresome. Have a political platform, visions, and set of goals that you're passionate about. Don't be a chameleon. Really believe in something above yourself. Then learn how to argue for them intelligently and convincingly.. Have principles and stick to them within reason insofar that you believe them. Also be good at negotiation, knowing when to concede, knowing when to make deals, and knowing when to double down. Study politics, law, public policy, political (and general) philosophy, some economics, and learn as much as you can about everything that you can. Be an intellectual, curious, humble, and a bit of a polymath. Be able to identify real problems facing your communities and country, and hear out solutions or even come with your own. Then learn how to communicate your ideas and package them to have as broad an appeal as possible. Don't sell out to donors or special interests. If they fund you, fine, but don't sell out on your values if elected because you'll just be more of the same. Above all, have a back up career if politics fails. Running and re-running for elections is expensive and not particularly viable if you don't see a path to victory.

Would Political Science do anything within the military? Say I get a degree and go to the military. (Marines if I can score what I want on my ASVAB)
Look at the air force, public affairs officer
You don’t need any degree aside from highscool to join unless you want to be an officer. If you try to go as an enlisted marine you just need to pass the asvab. They do take in consideration your degree just to give you an E-2 contract 🤷🏻♀️
You know, I've been wondering for a while, since the 2016 election...why is it mandatory to be uncaring, mental, and irrational to become a politician, especially the president? Uhh...I *_think_* the country would be much better with reasonable, intelligent, and warmhearted leaders, especially to rule the _ENTIRE USA._ Why would the government want the opposite? Non-rhetorical questions by the way.

If you are trying to do any kind of education here sew if your classes are transferable. Look into the colleges that offer the Doctoral program and they will gladly tell you what's needed. Since Covid they may offer on line classes? Hope that helps. Also look into what colleges help students internationally. Like exchange students!!

‘salary isn’t the most important thing...’
bruh
Aluman it’s a very important factor but it’s shouldn’t be the most important. If you don’t like your job you’ll be miserable and your performance won’t be at its full potential
Saron Noah if I don’t like my job but I’m making 300k+ I’m going to be able to do literally anything and be able to start a family have a car be able to take vacations etc.
