For those wondering, the -500 came when Buggs cleared 2 aircraft for takeoff without the first plane being clear of the runway, DAL101 was still rolling when AAL2462 started rolling.
I enjoyed the timing of famous last words from both players just before the incident. "I love a game that allows you to enjoy your coffee", and " we are doing good, pretty good actually". lol
I had a weird situation at JFK where Aeromexico pushed back, called for taxi, and when he got the taxi clearance, he went forwards....straight into the terminal, out the other side of the terminal, right into a Korean Air Boeing 747-400 that later requested pushback, across a parking lot, and out towards New York City. Haven't gotten the video up yet, but it was ridiculous.

Buggs cleared an aircraft to take off while another airplane was still on the runway. This is a runway incursion. That's the fault

Here is the mistake you got negative points for:
23:53 - Tower clears DAL101 for Take-off on 25R
24:05 - Tower tells AAL2462 to line up and wait on 25R
24:39 - Tower has some confusion over callsign (AAL2461 instead of ...2) and instruction (part take-off, part line-up), this command was probably not followed
24:55 - Tower clears AAL2462 for Take-off on 25R
[There is no evidence that DAL101 ever got handed over to Departure.]
So in conclusion: You cleared an Airbus 321 and a Boing 757-200 Heavy for take-off within 62 seconds of each other. This is okay IF the planned flight path takes them on different routes that are at least 45° apart right after they are airborne. If both do not initiate a turn by the end of the runway, the seperation minimum is 2 minutes (120 seconds). And it looks like the aircraft in this simulation always fly the same route (at least within your scope), so Tower caused a lack of seperation.
(Which is very dangerous as take-off speed of a heavy 757 is slower than that of an A321, so AAL2462 caught up to DAL101 every second flown...)

I love this series, and with the multiplayer with Buggs it's so much better (less chaotic/robotic)
Buggs sounds SUPER stoked about it. lol
It's a great game, totally addictive - it took me a few hours to say the commands in the correct order, but once it became second nature the speech recognition is fantastic, even recognises my English accent although I do try to speak like Kennedy Steve just for my own amusement.
i guess it is kind of randomly asking but does anyone know of a good site to stream newly released series online?

You can combine the takeoff clearance and the instruction to contact departure: CALLSIGN, RUNWAY XX, CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF, UPON REACHING ALTITUDE ONE HUNDRED CONTACT DEPARTURE
It depends on where you are. There are some places where this might be standard procedure, but not in the United States. It just wouldn't be realistic.

You had DAL101 on Runway 25R already taking off and then you gave AAL2462 cleared for takeoff command for the same runway. Two planes on the same runway with cleared for takeoff instructions. That is why you were docked some 500 points..

The pushbacks were amazing! I wish it were like that at real airports even if it did knock stuff around.
If only they'd add more airlines, some European airports and things like random emergencies, this game has some huge potential

So you don't forget about contact departure. When you give clearance you can say "Southwest3456 Runway 24L cleared for takeoff, upon reaching altitude 1000 contact departure" then they will automatically contact departure

Technically, the end of control for Ground is after the aircraft has stopped at the holding point of the runway, but you guys did a good job regardless.
BitsBytesGaming not really by the time you get to the runway you could be cleared for takeoff and just roll unto the runway and don’t forget there are more than one radio stacks to put in more than one frequency’s
I think u may also say: call-sign, wind 276 at 1 knot, rwy, cleared for take off
That's how they do it in the real world at most airports.
Callsign, windcheck, rwy, clearance (both take-off and landing)

Around 27:00 min Tower had 2 departures taking off too close to one a other on the South Runway

It's technically still second - Air Canada is half the market while Westjet is about a third. That is is way better than Air Canada is indisputable - proven by the fact that a 20 year airline took that much market share from a near monopoly while generally retaining price parity.

So this whole simulation video is as if one person had tower and one person had ground control of the entire airport all on the same channel? Does Tower! ever split up the frequencies like they do in real life such as Clearance delivery, tower for each runway assignment etc?

At 11:17, the pronunciation is actually incorrect and I too have been wrong for a while: Qatar, pronounced “cutter” is probably more in vogue now. It is replacing the older way, “kuh-TAR.” People who've had some interaction with the region might say, “gutter” a bit more - not inaccurate either. As many Qataris will tell you, the pronunciation can vary. - Google
I’ve always pronounced it kuh-TAR because that’s how everyone else says it and it sounds more viable than “kotter” to me, looking at the way it’s spelled.
