Lin, Pogradec: Albania's Beautiful & ANCIENT Village on Lake Ohrid

The small village of Lin, Albania is one of the most historic archaeological sites in all of Europe. Just off its shore, is the location of remains from Europe's oldest human settlement that dates back more than 8,000 years old.
To reach the charming town, we drove from the southern coast of Albania and along the eastern border of the country. Lin is located just 10 minutes from the border of North Macedonia and on the shoreline of Lake Ohrid, the oldest lake in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

One of the best ways to visit a place you may not feel entirely confident about is by joining a group tour. We saw SO many tour groups of various ages while in Albania. It's a fantastic way to feel comfortable while getting to experience a beautiful yet very new destination.
