Finally !!!!! I have found my style! This is it! I found myself loving the more minimal cosy styles. Clutter is not my friend unfortunately! I love everything but when I display it all, I find myself editing! This video has helped me see what I respond to......laid-back but minimal ❤ Thank you so much for your beautiful videos!!!!!!! In addition to natural materials , I also love the muted colours as they seamlessly flow through the room. It is really restful for the eyes and creates that calm much needed in the world these days. ❤️🇨🇦

The bedroom at 5:2 looks so harmonious, that I'm drawn to it, even though my style is more 'faded rustic antiques'.

Suzie hi, I think this is the best way to describe my home and love it. When I open my front door it is like a breath of fresh air to me. When old friends and new friends come in they are relaxed and comfortable. I don't have a one style or brand of furniture, I have chosen what looks good for me and comforts me. As always this is another beautiful video.

@@suzieandersonhome Hi, 🙂so it is mainly vintage but has had some newer additions to either remove or enhance . The vice itself is one, its needs painting then distressing back to look like it’s as old as the bench. Some one has tried out some paint on one of its legs so I need to sand that down. There is a panel at the back that needs some thought and I want to enhance all the chippy bits and gouges with light sanding then using dark furniture wax. ❤️ have been gathering my loved, living and lustred bits and bobs to style it with 👌🙏

Nice video. I have almost a same table as at 3:05 3:06. The forester gave me a table for his parents, in their 80's, to buen it together with more old wooden items. But i had an Ikea coffetable and thought: no, i don't burn it, i need a bigger coffeetable. I took the table in my barn, measured off the seizes i wanted it to have because it was an very old kitchen table. I took the edges off, took off one of the three long planks, lowered the legs, shortened the side inforcements (visible at 3:05) did some never done by me woodworking. It had to be copied exact. And now i have a 100 to 120 year old coffeetable. Regards from a dad and his son from the Belgium Ardennes. Outside in front of the façade of my 1870's 20" thick stone walled house, i put two old brown rusted (i found them like this on my attic) big milk cans and i put straw in them that is laying in my barn. What i do want is such a white fence around my front garden.

Love all yr videos! Question does all the wood furniture in the room need to match color? For example do the legs of a sofa and chairs need to match the wood tone of the coffee table. Thank you
Hello Denise, thanks for your support! I think there was a time when rooms were made up of ‘suites’ where many pieces were purchased at once and they all went together in form and colour. Nowadays there is a lot of interest when homes become collected and gathered over time, where furniture colours blend but don’t match.
I usually like to link timber colours within a space but don’t feel they need to match perfectly. Sometimes the timber legs of a chair may match in with an mirror frame or the decorative accessories but not the dining table. I would always try to find balance in the Timbers so one doesn’t jump out at you or feel out of place but nestles in to the overall roomscape. I feel this adds interest and feels less like you have started the design from scratch where everything perfectly matches! You will be the best judge of if it feels right. Good question! S x

Hi I was diagnosed with Reumathoid Artritis at the age of 29, and OMG Girl I was in so much pain and I didn't know what it was and I couldn't walk ,lay down, sit and even take a shower .My joints are always swollen and I take a lots of medication like 5 kinds . Now this medication is an IV Fluid that the doctor gives me every month and I have to do it at the doctor office, the name is ORENCIA. But yeah It only been one year and my knees still swollen and my shoulder are in so much pain well every joint in my body,it is a challenge every day to do stuff. Now do not eat sweets because that will make your joints worse/ they will get swollen but not only candy . Also there are food that are not good like pasta ,rice ,cereals .Well there's lots of food that are good for other people but it will not be good for a person with Reumathoid Artritis.We have to eat healthy . ❤ God Bless get better soon.

Just a little tip don't get furniture that supposed to be comfortable without arms on it because you have to sit straight up all the time. And that's not comfortable. Choose things with big fluffy arms that you can lean up against.
That's a good point Brandy. Sometimes where there is lack of space however, particularly when it comes to occasional chairs, taking away the arms can expand the space and even sit two on it when just lingering a little while! I agree though, for lounging, the arms are a great place to lean up against and pile up a few fluffy cushions and take a nap! Appreciate your feedback! Suzie xx
