Urdu literature, Urdu language and Urd system has no connection whatsoever with the great land of Punjab. Urdu is nothing more than a curse for the Punjabi language speakers and our ancestral legacy. With its roots in Lucknow and its adoption from Hindi usage plus Farsi and Arabic, it has little authenticity and absolutely no soul, only if you know Hindi and understand it in and out. However, for certain poetic endeavours, it did well with its well laid foundation for shayars and cantonment procurement staff of the Mughals who never actually spoke it properly with Turkic being their language at home and Farsi at darbar.
