I was there during opening week back in April 1998. My daughter was two. It was great. My nephew and I rode Countdown to extinction 7 times in a row. It is a great memory. I bought a limited special edition plaque that day. Love this park. Thamks for this vlog. Brings back so many memories. My son was born 10 mionths later so he got to go at age 2 also. I miss those days. So simple there back then. Love when you and Adam are together. Love your boys also. So cute.

The day I met Tim! I was standing outside Creature Conforts on my phone, and I hear this guy keep saying “take a leak!” And I’m like what the heck? I look up and there’s Tim and Adam. I then proceeded to be possibly the most awkward I’ve ever been in my whole life talking to Tim.

Love when you and Adam get together. You two are so great together. My family has a history with the opening of AK. When my son and daughter were in high school, Disney asked a couple of the Long Island schools to be in commercial for the opening promos. There was a lion, dragon and dinosaur. My kids were the lion. 14:12 Couple of days of rehearsal and it was filmed in Central Park. My husband and I were asked to release the doves at the end. You can still find the video on You tube. Great experience, so much fun and I still have the shirts they gave us.

I love Animal Kingdom. The other parks are special for different reasons but my second visit to Florida we were there just after AK opened. Lovely memories with my late Dad and have been able to visit over the years and see the park evolve and all the trees grow, Getting more beautiful each year like Walt said. It's a unique vibe there, Just love it 🙏🏻 x

I’ve never done tough to be a bug because when we went in the 90s I chickened out and waited with my dad. My sister & mom still went and we didn’t know where the exit was/that the exit was on the other side. They also left in the middle of the show because my sister got scared so we got separated and had to go to guest services for help finding them. Ahhh life before cell phones!🤣
I went to 'tough to be a bug' when i was 8-10yo and had to leave 1/2 way thru because i was so scared!! i remember the bee 'stings' and the stink bug smell.. before i pleaded for one of my parents to leave with me. scarred for life.

I got to go to Animal Kingdom within the first year it opened. I was 7 and it was great! Comparing pictures from them to now, the foliage has grown so much!

I knew I saw u there at kali river rapids! I said "hey look it's the Tim tracker" in line to ride as you were exiting so cool! U didnt have vlogger gear out but a kind smile was all i needed to see thanks for being cool :) my favorite things at the parks is to see a vlogger I may watch
one of my best friends used to work at Astro Orbiter, and he was the guy who would go over the intercom and explain the safety instructions, and he does a very good Kronk/Patrick Warburton voice, and the one time I came to ride it and see him, he started his safety instructions with the voice going "Hello, and welcome to Soarin'.... oops I'm sorry, wrong ride!" and it was fantastic so yes, cast members do try stuff over the intercoms lol.
20 years ago i went on kali river rapids 28 times without getting off and it was a cold day haha best memory at DAK
23:57 I used to work at Dino Rama and we ABSOLUTELY used to try out different voices/accents when spieling! Mainly we’d just try to mimic the Chester & Heater voice though 😂
My sister worked for Disney in 98 and i got to go into Animal Kingdom 4 days early and it was great. Miss when they changed the Kilimanjaro ride. Going to save Little Red made an impact on saving elephants. Countdown to Extinction was rougher but so much fun.

About the CM attraction spiels... We can't change the wording without getting into big trouble, but the silly accents definitely come out late at night when the rides are less busy!

Fun fact: They actually switched the enclosures so the apes at 8:56 are white cheeked gibbons and their names are AJ and Malika! The siamang apes are now in the enclosure further back :)

My 1st park to work in at Disney was Animal Kingdom, back from 04/2005 to 11/2006, I was an Attractions Cast Member there, and they started me at, "It's Tough To Be A Bug," in the base of The Tree Of Life, I was only a part-timer at that point. I went full-time later on in 2/2006, got transferred over to the Dino-Land section and got trained to work pretty much everything there except Countdown To Extinction/The Dinosaur Ride, so I worked Primeval Whirl, ( which sadly is no longer there), Tricera-Tops Spin, and The Boneyard, and sadly it's starting to sound like the way it's going to play out in the near future is that Everything that I got to do job-wise there at Animal Kingdom is either already gone from there, or will be at some point over say the next 3 to 5 years or so, and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that.

This was a great Earth day celebration time😊 Mother Earth has given us so many things and most thise things are the magnificent. Landscape views , not man made but actual Mother Earth creations, and most of all the Wonderful Animals 😊 Thank You Mother Earth 🌎 ❤ Adam and Tim😂 I really Wish to see Its Tough To Be A Bug just once in my life before it gets replaced, but sadly I can't make it there until 2026😢 It will be remodeled by then. The first time I went to Disney World, I was about nine years old. I was terrified of insects, but especially wasps, because I’d been stung on the face by one about a year prior. My parents took me to see this 3D show, and throughout most of it, I had fun. However, towards the end - when the spiders sprang from the ceiling and the hornets attacked and stung my back - I panicked. I got so scared I screamed and cried, and my parents had to escort me outside.
I didn’t go into that show again until nearly twenty years later, and the only reason I went then was because I wanted to see through adult eyes what exactly it’d been that’d terrified me all those years before.
I could still pinpoint the exact time in the show when I’d freaked as a child because did I enjoy it even as an adult? No. The only difference was that there were no tears this time. Just me leaning away from the back of the seat and pulling my feet up.
I wouldn’t miss this show if they replaced it. It is a thing of nightmares - literally.
