For stunts and tricks, Outcast all day, for all out bashing, Maxx is tough as nails. I love them both.
Indeed thay are both good trucks, will be interesting to see how the new widemaxx fairs verse the Arrma 8s cars
The triple send is epic. Hardcore is living up to its name again. Well done guys. And ur right about the 4s plaque. If you do get it set right tight, then it’ll be an axle breaking next. Still love it though
Thanks - on the plus side it wasn't the slipper that had gone, it was the rear drive shaft 😂😂 but really did think the Outcast would win as they are normally very tough
@@williamperri3437 Thats a tough one, like both cars, they are both tough as well, i would say the O4S is more of a handful that the Maxx though, just wheelies and flips for fun, best way to describe it is a Granite on steroids 😂

I know, i just didnt see i was ready MPH and not the height, although everyone's stop recording height on the day for some reason, they were getting up there though, no probs on the shout out, if you hadn't mentioned it we likely would have ended up with the V1

Im certainly waiting in anticipation of the new 4s line up that was supposed to be out early 2021, really want a Kraton 4s so yes we will re do this when the new ones are out

Awesome video! Love my Maxx! Tires are too soft though, I'm gonna buy LP Trenchers that will let it slide out a little more especially on pavement so it won't roll as bad and handle better. Then if that's not enough I'll cave in and do the Widemaxx kit.
Had some Trenchers on our Proline MT, they will deffo slide a bit more, but we didnt actually like them. We have added the wide maxx kit now, although it hasnt been driven, if you do get the wide maxx make sure it is the version 2 (ask before you buy as its the same part number for v1 and v2)

@@HardcoreRC I have already been having good fun with my kraton exb.
But have spent lots of money fixing it. And have read so much about the xmaxx, how durable {always think of Kev when I write that work "duwable" 😅} and strong it is. Hence: more fun, less expenses.
I will of course still take the exb with me, it does drive differently as a truggy.
@@christheridge2179 Love both the EXB and Xmaxx - our top two cars, does the Xmaxx break, of course it does, but it takes a real beating as well, and has (Thus far) be very cheap to fix.
Would recommend the RPM rear Bubs and either CEN or RPM hinge pin bolts (2 packs as you need 8 pins)

Thanks, nice you will love it, just watch the front bulkhead and front hubs, they are weak areas, we have upgraded to Vitavon and its a tank now

EXB was in the car, just didnt come out on this day, but summer is coming, ground is less wet, hopefully much bigger air coming

Nice !! Drywall tape and shoe goo ,the body ! It will last a lot longer.
Do that (well E6000) to all our other bodies, but this is the heavy duty basher body that Traxxas do for the Max, as you can see even with an Xmaxx landing on it it held up very well
It has to be the drywall joint mesh. Not paper joint tape.
Outcast is cheaper yes, however the Maxx’s driveline can handle 6s and is overall a lot more thought out and stronger, plus everything on the Maxx stock is incredibly beefed up and practically indescribable so that why I went Maxx or outcast
I really did think the Outcast 4s would win this one, but the Maxx is super tough, not many cars could take being landed on full tilt by an Xmaxx
I’ve always wanted an Outcast 4s for over a year , no I have the money and they aren’t available anymore☹️ But I chatted with rich duperbash and he said that there could come some in the end of this year but he’s not sure. I was so happy when I heard that there’s probably coming one very soon and than it was just the exb rtr models☹️. I really can’t see the point why they are fitting electronics now🤦♂️
The O4S is a great car, i was lucky and got probably the last one in the UK in May 2020, Jason Dearden CEO of Arrma did say the new 4s Models would be released beginning of 2021, he has since then been silent when ever questioned, so who know if or when they will be released, instead they released the RTR EXB's which should be rollers i totally agree, the RTR EXB's are a pure money grab by Horizon stuffing them with Spektrum electrics
I am also not a big fan of those spektrum electrics I mean they are not bad, but they are just not worth the money

Very impressed with the Maxx, does it have and short comings at all? I just bought the big rock. It is ok, but seem to bottom out way to much for my liking. I installed harder HR springs. Seemed to help a touch.
Maxx is good, but would say the front bulkhead may be a weakness - broken two now, but they were both from stupid high jumps and very bad landings

The 4S line are fun there light there fast but man they do not hold up very well LOL I just broke the chassis on my Kraton 4s at the BMX track the other day
Seems people have mixed results, as its the same as the 3s line up we have never really had issues, we have broken the Granite and Typhon chassis but they took a real beating before they broke, maybe the 4s line break easier due to the tower to tower brace not letting the chassis flex 🤷♂️ on the plus side it is a cheap fix 😂
That is the plus side, whole chassis is cheaper than replacing the drive shafts
@@HardcoreRC yeah at least they are cheaper but besides the chassis I have had tons of problems with the rear diff and the slipper clutch but it really seams it’s more on the Kraton 4s and not the outcast 4s. Many people I have talked to said the outcast is way better then the Kraton in the 4s line.? Same truck just shorter.
@@BarstoneRC Oh i dont know, i had major issues with the slipper on the Outcast 4s, was the reason i did a video on it, it just wouldnt stay tight. Hope the new ones when they come out will have the slipper / drive train issue fixed

Hi there; was ur blue maxx on the wide kitt arm when u were jumping it that high? It seems to chassis slap very easily after the wide arms, wonder it can still survive those high jumps ?
Maxx was stock except the body and the battery tray brace. Wide Maxx has now been fitted but not driven yet, i did put thicker oil in the shocks when fitting 800 cst in the front and 1,000cst in the rear, chassis slap is not a bad thing, all cars are designed to slap

Yep I test my rigs the same way, by jumping and bashing them hard too (push them to the limit when first out off the box). By doing that, I'll know where the weak points are, and do upgrades on it.😄

New 4s cars should be out very soon, the old ones are all out of stock due to the new ones coming, Jason said early 2021, so hopefully any day now as i really want a K4S

If arrma would get a center diff in their 3s/4s line, steel diffs and axles... I wouldn't mind having the 4s kraton. Odds are I'll end up with the maxx 4s at some point to compliment my 4S slampede 4x4.
That would be ideal, but think it would push the price really high, new 4s line is due out soon so will be interesting to see what they have done
@@HardcoreRC Would raise it some, but still likely less than the maxx4s. They could market it as the kraton 4s EXB for those that want to start with a better truck out of the gate and others would buy the parts as options as well.

Hot racing shocks on the outcast front not stock shocks r a week point for that arama so no not stock
On the 4s cars the stock shocks are actually ok as they use 4mm shafts, i only replaced as mine were leaking a bit
