On the fourth fight, when she destroys 3/4 of the platform, Our OT, VPR, and me, (MT) all gapclosed because we didn't realise the platform was gone and it was E3 all over again

As a RPR I didn't even gap close I just walked right back in the second the final AoE went off because I didn't think she'd break the floor.
I'm mad that they got me twice with the exact same thing and the two bosses that did it to me are SISTERS.
I *almost* gaped closed but was using my stacks of rattling coil so I was safe but oml. I took a decent amount of the pulses before I moved cause I just was blanking out on it and then panicked when I saw the aoe under me
every player in melee sweat died in the same exact ways, myself included LOL

Lol for the squares getting blasted, all i did was choose 2 squares and counted how many time those 2 squares got blasted. If one showed it was gonna get blasted twice then i just moved to the other square that only got blasted once

I'd argue this savage tier is gonna be a test of how devoted Picto players will be to the shiny new job; will they persist through the difficulty, or swap to braindead summoner?
I already said I don't see the job being popular those cast times are actually kinda long man especially painting motifs if you aren't already a caster main you will probably drop it before the first tier is even over seeing all these people swap to summoner will be funny af😂

@@nothisispatrick5691 Again, for PF. A static isn't going to messing around with raise spells period. So much of Savage mechanics has raid wipe mechanics these days if one person messes up. Having an extra rez on hand doesn't mean a thing when one player on the floor spells a wipe anyway because of a missed mechanic. SMN/RDM is purely Extreme bait job for groups that are barely passing enrage anyway due to the debuff on raise.
@@Professor_Utonium_do you understand prog? Anybody that's ever in a prog group especially blind will take the slightest chance for extra rez even if it's just letting them see half of the next mechanic.
Savage is going to be really interesting and fun. Maybe lionel gets to watch other people stream it a little bit between breaks in his court hearing.

Yeah we cleared the first one without wiping, wiped once on the bee, wiped 4 times on the bomb, and 5 or 6 times on the final one
Even Endwalker Normal Raids were pretty damn hectic all things considered and this feels like an even biggers step-up than that.

Honestly I think the Bee was the most difficult for most, but after doing Storm's Crown EX, it's deceptively easy to dodge.
It was amusing to run in circles screaming "I will not simp for thee" with 2/3 hearts above my head 😂😂😂

2nd fight reminds me of first fight in Deadwalk, dodging all those projectiles is gonna be a pain in Savage.

ironically, the last stage is easier than other
while other has memory game, tiles, bullet hell, attack that covers 7/10 of the arena instead of half like usual with a fairly fast follow up, the last stage is just look at the glowing part and move away
Im a new tank scratching a name for myself on the new ex trials got an 85 on zoralja ive been playing the game since 2.0 but took a big break got back into the game and actually set my hud up and changed settings was a huge game changer

Started expac late and the first time I’m actually willing to rush msq just to get to this raid 😱
I usually play blm in raids but decided to melee this tier after blm got nuked into oblivion. These fights are pretty fun to do as a melee actually as you are actually somewhat challenged to maintain uptime as opposed to endwalker where you're effectively the same thing as a ranged physical but do 10% more dps lol. I'm interested to see how they iterate on some of these mechanics in savage. Enjoyed arc 1-4 more overall than p1-4
I just watch to my left or right to see which of the inner two panels on the outside don't get targeted and I run to that and wait.

I love all the call out mechanics. Oh you think you know this move? What if we actually reverse the pattern 2 attacks before its over? Oh you've seen this attack too? What if it was also ifrit nails and we switched the model to something else and you instantly die if you keep dodging them instead of tanking the last few.
A lot of the patterns are identical to some of the oldest but just dressed up differently to confuse and punish you for that little auto pilot moment you had.
What fight specifically are you referring to? I cleared the tier last night and it was way more fair than everyone seems to think.

Literally the worst aspect of this game. I don't know how new players are able to stomach 300 hours of braindead content that's been trivialized by stat creep.

It's still not hard, just a game of good positioning, and reading how to prevent wipe mechanics from happening, honesly the game would be much more entertaining if they would rework all past raids/trials/etc... To require more brains and hands
For me extreme and above content is where the fun begins, if the game would be overally as hard as those extreme+ raids It wouldn't be as accessible as It is currently, but the feeling of complishion and achievement maybe would drive more casual playerbase to get better

I HATE the memory shit. Their idea of difficulty has just been "you memorized 3 in the last expansion this fight its 5!!!" And now we have moved to having to memorize them backwards. So annoying and unfun.

Get good bro, nobody actually memorizes every single one, you just have to work out a strat. Because it's lvl 100. Where the win shouldn't be handed to you.

@@zombiegodsire You don't need to memorize the entire sequence. You just need to remember a couple of rules and look for means to simplify the mechanic.
For example for the platform thing on the first fight, the rule to keep in mind is that the platform gets destroyed if it gets hit twice. The goal then is to just find a platform that doesn't get hit twice, and realistically there are only going to be a few permutations over what platforms actually get destroyed. What I do is pretty much ignore all of the outer squares and pay the most attention 2x2 squares in the center of the arena. I haven't had any instance where all 4 platforms in the center broke, so the way I solved it is much eachier to do than trying to remember everything at once, which isn't the point of mechanics like these I think.
@TheArnoldification no, bud. There are some where you absolutely have to memorize all of them and those are the ones I'm talking about. Like the cannon mechanic in the 4th fight. You have to memorize the entire pattern and then do it backwards. It's terrible
