When hard times hit Swallow Falls, its townspeople can only afford to eat sardines. Flint Lockwood, a failed inventor, thinks he has the answer to the town's crisis. He builds a machine that converts water into food, and becomes a local hero when tasty treats fall from the sky like rain. But when the machine spins out of control and threatens to bury the whole world under giant mounds of food, Flint finds he may have bitten off more than he can chew.

I recommend the kingsman series 💪🏾
Great reaction! Do you think you can react to spies in disguise?
Nicely work timotheereacts love ❤️ your videos
Ok 👍
This franchise is a great tribute to the old 1950's "B" sci-fi cheesey movies.
Emphasis on cheese hey?
Heh... "Cheesy"

@@megadoodoo6511 when I was younger I was able to do spot on impression of the FLDSMDFR but I sadly lost that magic
11:22 I love this scene because when somebody finally shows an appreciation for an invention nobody liked before, he is taken back to his childhood, where he had the confidence to create the spray-on-shoes spray in the first place, which is why his face looks like a child in this scene.
Damn I didn’t know Nikocado Avocado could be such a great villain
LMAO didnt know Niko was a mayor
I'm dead 😭 and Niko is a villain ngl
That got me chuckling lol
NAHh
Nah, CaseOh.
4:35 "I stared at defeat and found hope" Flint literally stared at his feet before finding a new idea.
12:56 If you thought that pun was bad, wait until you see the sequel. It’s a hurricane of food puns.
Hell for pun haters, heaven for me.
@@anib8863 - Same. It's very punny.
THERE’S A LEEK IN THE BOAT!
"Can I count on YOUR help?
Steve: Can. -Shows can-
I always loved that part🤣🤣
I knew I could.
Damm i see the movie in spanish and lose that joke 😂
Anna Faris was SOoo perfectly cast for this movie and it's playful high energy sarcastic sense of humor.
Favorite Moments
6:07 I gets me every time

Man, I watched this movie again recently and it still holds up. Sony Pictures Animation did a good thing keeping Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The two guys are such fantastic duos.
Great duo!
@@TimotheeReacts I love you 😘💕❤️
@@TimotheeReacts Same!
Agreed, this movie ages well
Timothee simply eating Meatballs is ✨C I N E M A T I C✨
my masterpiece
This is such an underrated movie, thank you so much for this reaction!
No problem!! Had a fun time with this, and NOW IM HUNGRY
Literally how can anyone watch this movie and NOT have spaghetti or meatballs? Couldn't be me.
Bruce Campbell is always a win!
"So this is not the first time?" You can see Early in the background watching when the ratbirds are released, one steals his hat.
Love this movie, 2 is also worth watching down the line!
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller always do great! You should try "Mitchells vs Machines"too!
SINCE WHEN WAS BRUCE CAMPBELL IN THIS MOVIE?!
@@ninjabluefyre3815 he’s the mayor
Can’t believe they got ash Williams for this thing
Sardines are like anchovies, if you've never had them before, take a small (and I mean SMALL) bite. They're often packed in salt and before you even taste the fish you'll taste the salt.
Hahahahahaahaha
Bill hader is so underrated. My love for that guy reflects onto my love for this movie. Plus the movie is really good so that’s cool.
I remember having a nightmare where the food storm happened in our world, and it was scary. 26:54 I was under that exact impression too.
Don’t take this the wrong way; I adore this movie, and it remains one of my favorite childhood movies.
Lord & Miller actually took a main concept of the falling food.
Isn't it based on a children's book?
@@tofanpurnomowaisaka503 yes it is
The perfect movie for Lord and Miller, the greatest creative minds who take on projects everybody doubts
I always had a thought that what if the food is poisonous and now the town is going to suffer even more because they see all this delicious food everywhere but they can't eat it 0_0
I mean yeah, that would be a lot of food poisoning from giant spoiled food lol
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is one of my favorites! Its so cartoony with its animation (kinda reminds me of Madagascar) and the humor is right up my alley! I've read somewhere that this movies message is basically a metaphor for social media in the sense that we all want to feel adored and seek approval from everyone and sometimes we'll do anything to keep that momentum going and I can totally see that. I also think the sequel is just as good as the first movie.
They should've just canned the sardines in tomato sauce. I hate tomatoes with a passion but love it with sardines, why, I even use it to top my spaghetti!
P. S. 2009 was the best year in animation.
I watched stephanie back when she did the pirates films i was suprised to see her in this video
Tim is creating every crossover ever
I love how there's this big group of reacting youtubers that are all friends with each other, and in some random videos there's just a collab there with 2 or 3 of them and we didn't even know they know each other. Honestly, i think that's incredible, it just looks like some multiverse or something, cause like i watch ALL OF THEM. and suddently THEY'RE THERE, TOGETHER, WHAT
I love this movie!! My brother and I binge watched this movie years back. It's so much fun and so nostalgic since I remember reading the book as a kid.
Omg my heart broke for the dad so much when he was like “I could still use your help around here” and he just gets shut down 😭
If you’ll notice that the food doesn’t rot. The machine would keep sucking in water until all the water in the world is replaced with food.
That's objectively more terrifying. If all the water is replaced with food, there won't be water to wash it down, which means there's gonna be a water crisis if Flint couldn't stop the machine
Steve really goes crazy with gummy bears. He literally ripped one’s heart out and ate it!
Timothi this movie was my childhood thank for watching this movie for us
One of the better kids movies out there. Just as entertaining for adults, the writing is brilliant
And the underlying message about overconsumption and food waste is done well. Fits in with the movie’s plotline so well and doesn’t feel shoehorned in
I remember my sitter watching this with me and my brother, and during the spaghetti twister scene he called his mom and asked if they could have spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.
This movie made me crave all kinds of foods, I still wonder what Sardines taste like
I always enjoyed Flint and Sam relationship. I also enjoyed the characters in the "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs: The Animated Series" also. But I wish they would have focused more of the Sam and Flint adventures. I always liked "Beakman's World", and thought that that was what the character would have been like when he was younger. I still hope there will still be a Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3. Or maybe even a crossover with "Despicable Me"/Minions. that would be epic. :)
Tha collaboration I've been waiting for. I love both of you so much. And I love this movie so much. The second too. And I enjoyed your video and your reaction so much. Love you guys. ❤️
Glad you enjoy the video! Love ya! In a few minutes the sequel is coming on her channel
@@TimotheeReacts cool! I'll wait on her channel. ❤️
here in Brazil this movie is called "Tá Chovendo Hambúrguer", or It's Raining Hamburguer in english
Geshem shel Falafel/ Rain of Felafel in Israel.
@@zvimur really cool how they changed the name of the movie depending on the country, love when they do that
@@luiz.calomeni sometimes it gets tricky, like in case of sequels.
The Ridley Scott's "Alien" movie in some countries is called "The Eighth Passenger". While it made some sense, the sequels kept referencing the first name. Even if many didn't remember the context.
Dreamworks made 50% of my childhood movie experience
Childhood movie that I will never forget
The first time I’ve heard of her channel and i loved her in this video
Glad you liked it! Definitely check out the sequel on her channel
yaaaaay, one of my all-time favorites!!!!! Chicken-Brent and Steve are the best ^_^ btw, I recommend "The Croods" for next animated movie. It's so sick, too funny for it to be healthy haha
dont have the croods on my list but if you guys say its worth watching
@@TimotheeReacts oh it is, I could barely breathe watching it. Just a recommendation ^_^
I review weed products on my CZcams channel as my job 🙏screw college, most jobs won’t hire me
Definatley watch the croods!!!!!!!!!
"I stared at da feet and found hope" 😂
Flint and Sam are my favorite couple from this movie
The mom of the year award goes to Mrs. Lockwood.
Thank you. Use to watch this every time I came home from school. Can't wait for the sequel. It's my favorite.
Sequel video up on her channel
@@TimotheeReacts okay thanks for the heads up
Can you imagine all the ingrown toenails flint would have by the time he was grown 😂
Ps, I just watched the sequel on the other channel and I wanted to let you know that if you re-watch it look very closely at some of the scenes and you'll see the Sasquash, it's the vegetable version of the Bigfoot, I found that out on the special features
I loved this movie a lot such a great movie, hope you enjoy your meatballs Tim 😊😀😂
I did!
24:02 if you look really close in the crowd, you see the Mayor sneaking off towards the club house to make it rain the storm that inevitably destroys everything
What I love about this movie is that it teaches us to be our true selves to make a difference in the world.
I'm so glad you and Stephanie did these back to back, Iconic
Watching this movie is awesome and makes me hungry!
my favorite movies as a child
Thanks, Timothée! Thanks, Stephanie! 🧆
Hello Stephanie!! 🤗
Hii!!!!
This movie is so awesome, animation, comedy, characters.
The kiss is hilarious
My parents used to read the book to me when I was a kid, so of course I love this movie! It’s such a good time and I think the second one is on par with it!
You definitely have to do the second movie, they have to be some of my favorite movies, and I think about how flient could have stopped world hunger with that machine.
Up on her channel
But unfortunately it got damaged and making living food creatures for some reason
I loved all the creative uses for the food in this film lol (17:20 18:48 19:04 24:11 29:39 32:29 35:04)
22:18 This gives me Norman Osborn vibes when he wanted Peter to “be a son to [him]”
The fact that they never mentioned the television still being around makes me wonder if they were paying full attention.
Awesome reaction you are the best ❤️❤️
Thanks Arya
This is so funny😂when Flint is about to kiss Sam🤣Lol😆14:35
I love how Flint types on his keyboard!
They took inspiration from old-timey marionette puppetry for the character's typing style, and yes-it fits his noodly figure/design purposely.
The collab king is in full effect once again and I'm here for it.😉👍
Yesss becoming more and more the king EVERYDAY
@@TimotheeReacts Yeah, I just noticed that someone else was calling you the "collab king". I guess the title is starting to stick. lol
@@robertmolton6761 nicee idk who but i gotta thank em. I’ll take that title
Flint did that because it is physically impossible for them to kiss his nose is in the way props to the animators they found a way to make fun of the logic.
The jello castle has my most favorite color, which is gold!🏯
One thing that we need to remember is that the food machine is essentially a nuclear reactor with the machines other tech built around it. The food mutated so fast because the more the machine go used, the more nuclear energy it produced. It’s no wonder it grew out of control so fast since it’s clear flint really didn’t install any safe guards within the machine to control how much power it generated. The more power it creates, the more water it needs to suck in to both create the food AND keep the reactor cool. This is also why the machine took off like a rocket when turned on because flint essentially vionetly kick started a nuclear reactor which is NEVER a good idea. Worst case scenario it could have blown up.
As a person who is studying to be a food technologist, this film has a little more significance for me)
Great reaction! This was such a fun underrated movie!
11:03 That scene cracks me up every time!! 🤣🤣🤣
Time for Subway Surfers with Lockwood and Officer Earl.
Thank you for reacting this movie!
Underrated movie honestly
"You see this contact lens, Timothee?! This contact lens represent the like button, my eye represent my finger! I got my eye on them..."
The smartest decision the filmmakers had was making Tim the dad, as originally he had no familial connection to Flint. Just another of the residents there. Being his boss at the sardine store. Late into production they realized the film lacked that emotional core to it, and repurposed Tim into being the dad.
4:37 In the beginning Flint says "I stared at defeat". It forshadows Flint staring at his FEET when he defeats the FLDSMDFR with the spray-on shoes.
So cool that you got to collab with Stephanie Best!
Last Week: Banana
This Week: Meatballs
WHATS NEXT WEEK?!?
I'm so glad you watch animated movies too, not many reactors do
One of my favorite moments “regretting, re-psyching…saying what I’m doing…”
This is one of my Favorite Sony Animated Movies and I Love It.
A genius idea for a video
Thanks!
One thing that blew my mind about this movie is the music was composed by Mark Mothersbaugh who started out as part of Devo
Same composer as Thor Ragnarok
22:00 The film makers infamous line
when you see what the "machine" is like inside the meatball, Brent taking them off course is actually good, otherwise they'd be trapped inside that giant mushroom
Hope you have a great day Tim 🤙 one of my favorite Channels👍always gets me in a better mood❤️
What a classic!😁
I love Flints opening theme❤️
The moral of the story is that if something seems too good to be true, it usually is.
Earl is the best character and dad legit XD
Loved this movie, made laugh a lot when I first saw it! And great intro haha, meatballs are so good!! 😋
He stared at da feet and found hope
I have a drawing of Chicken Brent as my phone wallpaper, so… I guess that says a lot about me
this movie holds a place in my heart
So funny bruh I watched that two days ago
omg yessss i love this collab!!!
this film was one of the best animated i love and it sooo underated to how it does
Here's something you might find kinda funny: Neil Patrick Harris was considered for Flint, but he thought Steve, the monkey was a more interesting character.
I love sardine! Can sardine over Jasmine rice is my favorite.
I'm reminded of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
9:58 his dad broke the matrix
7:56
It's him!!!!(FLINT LOCKWOOD!)
