To gain godly wisdom, we must sincerely and earnestly search for it. Some Christians fail to study the Scriptures because they have not experienced how awesome it is to do so, how the Lord speaks through His Word. Some Christians refuse to listen when God's truth is being taught by godly leaders, and while the reasons vary, for that, it often stems from not wanting to hear the truth or be changed by it. It's sad because that person will miss out on all God has for him/her, that starts with the desire for wisdom. Thanks for the teaching, Dr. G.

Some Christians fail to study the Scriptures and even refuse to listen when God’s truth is being taught by godly leaders because they may not understand the treasure that is in His Word. Another reason is lack of understanding what they have read. When I first began reading the Word I found it hard to understand. I was using the King James Version of the Bible. I purchased read the Bible in a year in a version I could better understand, (I used The Living Bible version) and it helped me tremendously. After that year I was better able to understand the King James version and began reading multiple versions of the Bible in order to gain better understanding and insight into what I was reading. For some the Word may intimidate so they stay away from it. Sometimes it’s as simple as thinking they don’t need to know the Word. The cares of this world and wrong priorities could cause others to not make time for the Word. There are many reasons why people fail to study the Scriptures and refuse to listen to truth. Sometimes they don’t want to face the conviction it brings or take responsibility for the changes they must make. Whatever the reason, as believers, we must make the Word of God a priority. It’s only through knowing His Word that true transformation can happen in our lives. Be Encouraged! ❤
He took most of these verses out of context….you can’t just take verses and just fit them into your thought of application. The major passages, especially Ephesians; is talking about the heart of Paul for the churches. The heart that came from God to Paul. The heart that desires every believer to be rooted, built up, fully established in the body of Christ.
