As a longtime Ibanez enthusiast (I still keep all my Ibanez guitars) I will say that since I bought the ESP EII MII NT7 (natural brown) I’ve been impressed and it’s become my main guitar. Absolutely blown away by ESP. By the way, mine has a satin matte back on the neck. They must’ve did it in 2019 as mine is a 2019 model.
Ive got one and I've gotta say, it is or is one of the best 7 string guitars I've ever played.

I’ve been looking for a new 7-string for a while now but hadn’t fully found something that just popped out. I’ve seen a few in mind but nothing that really made me go “YES THAT’S IT!” Saw this video in my recommended and the purple fade burl was THE ONE! Thanks for an awesome video guys, pulled the trigger and put an order for it in at Sweetwater 🤘🏻

The difference in satin/gloss necks is because the Purple one is a newer model, and they implemented that "improvement" over the other one. The Dark Brown one was introduced a year prior and didn't have that feature.
Thankfully, they have decided to go that route. I've been bugging them about gloss necks for years lol.
I wish they offered the BKPs in the E-II Horizon 7

Putting a sticky gloss finish on the neck of a guitar is one of the dumbest moves any modern guitar manufacturer can make.
I know. Why not factory sand every guitar? Like every single guitar ever. I don't get it.
Idk? I kinda like the feel of those glossy necks. Personally, I feel like it gives me better grip for my guitar playing. Then again I am more of a rhythm player. I just find I slide off too easy on satin necks 🤷♂️

@Les Grossman I just owned an LTD "snapper" sn1000fr and it was amazing. Beautiful, felt great, sounded great, an amazing super strat; but the damn thing had a crack on the neck, had to return it. Not ESPs fault, but guitar center used. This thing was probably the most versatile instrument I have ever played. The SD Pegasus was excellent for downtuning, reacted well to the volume knob, and could handle almost any style. The 2 single coils were hot strat pickups and could go from classic strat to rock or blues.
No experience with seven strings, but ESP makes the best guitars in history period.

I have the LTD KS-7. Absolutely amazing guitar. I'm not a huge fan of the Fluence pickups but otherwise a perfect 7 string guitar for me.

Wicked!! Man I wish it was easier to get ESP guitars in Canada. 8-14 months to get anything here. Nobody stocks ESP in Canada.
Come to Japan. They are everywhere. Of course the higher end ones are usually ordered in, but the entry level models (Grassroots) are in every store. I tried a seven-string Grassroots yesterday and it felt nice for a guitar selling at only about $500 Canadian.
There are ESP guitar stores in Japan lol it's awesome. They even have a whole street dedicated to guitar stores in Tokyo which is like a dream for any guitarists out there lmao you can even play some old school ESP MX-250s (James Hetfield guitars)
Just order it from New York, or Sweetwater and have it shipped to your place

Fatt Philosopher why yes Sweetwater ships to Canada all the time. Just tell your sales engineer your postal code and within a few hours they will have a quote for you. They use UPS and FEDEx. Also they do ship internationally

I wish they had gloss on the purple natural fade. I hate satin. My hands stick to it. I'd buy it if it were gloss.
Satin buffs out if you keep playing it though, so it would eventually smooth out.

Can someone out there please tell me if this guitar is any good? I was interested in buying one but now not sure. Hopefully it was just because or his amp settings or the speakers I'm listening through or whatever as I thought it sounded terrible. No better than a cheap chinese piece of junk. Please help I'm not being a smart arse but I really think this demo here sounded awful

@@JRP3music have you looked recently? They have 4 prestige models that have the lo pro edge and 1 j custom, if you search ibanez 7 string on sweetwater it's right there.
In general I am seeing 7 strings with fixed bridges. It is annoying.
