Hi,didn`t you forget to settle cash after selling stocks? It takes few day to settle and after that you can buy new stock without loan from IBKR,they will charge you with interest for loan.Correct me if i`m wrong...

Hi and good question, didn't actually notice that and was able to reinvest it right away and did not see any interest charges 🤔

When deciding between ETFs like Vanguard S&P 500 and SPDR S&P 500 or Vanguard FTSE All-World and Invesco FTSE All-World, should you opt for the one with the lower AER, or is it better to choose based on a longer track record and larger fund size?

Hi and good question, I think there is not one KPI alone to look at, instead I would consider all of them. You can have the cheapest ETF, but if there is no liquidity or volume, it's useless. On the contrary, just because it's the biggest, the fees might be very high and you would be loosing out in terms of your returns. So for me I want an ETF with the lowest possible fees while having at least mid-sized or higher fund-size and at least a couple of years of history. That's why I went with SPY5 in my case. Cheers

Great reasoning and explanation! I'm just wondering why did you choose Dist instead of Acc? That would be more advantageous and aligned with your goals no?

Hi mate and thanks a lot, appreciate that. For me there is no tax or other advantage from one to the other, so I like the feeling of 'getting paid' in the form of dividends even I reinvest them right away anyways so it's more for investor psychological reasons than anything else 😉 Cheers

Can you make a video for how we can do the process about the tax declaration with Interactive brokers? It will be very useful

Hi mate, as I am based in Dubai it's not applicable to me anymore plus I am not a tax expert, but inside IBKR just go under reports and then tax report and once the year has closed you will be notified by IBKR and the tax report for last year will be there plus other reports if you wish to download as PDF and you can then use those to submit to your respective tax authority 👌

Kai great video once again. When it comes to SPY5 and VFIAX. The first one i can buy but the other one i cannot. Why is that? And is there any actual difference between the two? Thank you

Hi and thanks a lot 🙌
SPY5 is State Street’s UCITS S&P 500 ETF, which is designed for European investors, whereas VFIAX is a U.S.-based mutual fund.
      Why You Can’t Buy VFIAX:
Availability: VFIAX is only available to U.S. investors, which is why you might not be able to buy it if you're based in Europe or using a platform outside the U.S.
Regulation: UCITS ETFs like SPY5 are designed to comply with European regulations, making them accessible to European investors, whereas VFIAX doesn’t meet those standards.
      Differences:
Structure: SPY5 is an ETF (European version), while VFIAX is a U.S. mutual fund.
Tax Efficiency: UCITS ETFs like SPY5 can offer more favorable tax treatment for European investors.
If SPY5 is available to you, it’s a solid option to gain S&P 500 exposure, similar to VFIAX.
      Cheers

    You’re welcome! 😂
Great. I think I’ll sell it too since on Realty I’m already 10% plus so that’s pretty good return combined with the dividend I got from them. Cheers mate!

Hi Kai, great video as usual. I hold Vicci and VUSA, my question is do you think the S&P will continue to grow exponentially, as it has been? Will the dollar carry on as it is with all the money printing and massive debt. TIA 👍🏻 👌🏻😄

Hi Paul thanks a lot indeed and great question. I personally think it will continue to grow, the US just can't afford the S&P to drop, this is their national pride, bread & butter but more importantly how most Americans invest and grow their money to use as pension later on as their debt level is too high to sustain paying that out long-term. Now the printing will continue, but so will other countries so the question, what's the alternative? Of course, Bitcoin is one, owning physical real estate another, but I don't see the 500 most successful companies not doing well anymore in the future. On the contrary, I think with AI and all advancements, their efficiencies and profits will only continue to increase and shareholders will benefit accordingly. But this is just my humble opinion 😉
