Omg I'm from the US and I saw that and it hurt my head! Our political parties are emotionless petty AF sociopaths so seeing a member of a government have his feelings hurt and ask that the person take it back 🥹 I wish the US government was a parliamentary government. It's the only type of government that has petty sessions where the members can debate personal grievances against each other in a orderly manner so that they personal emotions won't disrupt the debates during the political sessions. Very important 😊
Nice comedy, indeed. You actually add nice spice to everything just by the manner in which you clarify certain issues. I can watch this 7× per day, keep up the good work ❤
@@billyork9588these are petty sessions they are very very necessary and honestly healthy! There are no politics being debated in these sessions. South Africa just showed the rest of Africa that we can disagree and disagree and disagree. This is what our old men are not prepared to see. Debates and following of policies are necessary for building our societies. I feel like this is Young vs Old. It will always be a sport.
@@user-zu3fw5is3e What is in this video is parliamentary sessions addressing personal issues amongst cabinet members. Though these sessions are very very important, they aren't affecting the citizens of SA except for the purpose of maintaining a healthy government system and by encouraging members to get out their grievances with each other in an orderly process so grievances can be truly put to rest and won't interfere with the sessions when they debate SA policies and other forms of politics. parliament is the only government type that keeps the understanding that in order to work together for the good of the people who elected the members, working out grievances that can disrupt the progress of the country. They used to be called petty sessions lol but I think they stopped calling them that 😅 the political parties don't truly hate each other, you see in this video that there are times when most of the parties would stand or shout against the speaker requesting someone withdraw. If they did not have these petty sessions then they would more than likely hold in these grievances and then that will create true opposition and infighting, old Chinese parliament style 😂😂😂 they would literally jump over desks and the entire house would just erupt in a huge brawl every member punching each other. Man I miss watching the Chinese petty sessions 😂😂😂 but these are funny and they make have hope because you can see that there are quite a few opposing parties the general underlying feeling is much more united this is unique SA I don't believe things are as bad as you believe. I grew up in the US and those two parties will refuse to hold a vote in one house because the other house is the one who created the policy to be voted on so the leader of the house just won't bring to the floor to be voted on! These are policies that may or not be good for the normal, low medium and high socioeconomic status or the citizens who are in the mega high socioeconomic status. Either way the politicians can refuse to do their jobs and vote on business for the citizens because they don't like who authored the policy! Every session the US government holds is a petty ass session because every member of both parties are petty ass people! Just two sides to the same evil, greedy, arrogant and psychotic coin 🙃😡
One thing about SA. Truth is truth. We stick to it and we don't mince words. At the same time we give credit and respect where it is due... We do not care about looking proper or impressing people. Lol a parliamentary government is the only type of government that has petty sessions, which is what's in this video. They have sessions, I'm not sure how often I believe once a month, where no politics are allowed to be spoken of the debates are only to allow cabinet members to get out personal grievances the are having with other members so that these grievances won't disrupt political sessions where actually policy and and other politics are debated.
This is what we need in Africa. We are Africans, songs have deeper meaning than words, what's wrong with them singing? We need to end the colonial mindset because that's where true liberation is.

As an outsider looking in, the biggest issue I see throughout these clips is simple refusal to abide by the strict guidelines of the parliamentary procedure. If the chair does not recognize you to take the floor to speak, then you are out of order if you do speak. The Chair seems to have authority to interrupt to address points of order, such as when MPs are claiming new allegations of criminal activity against other MPs or other Government officials (those allegations should be submitted separately and addressed in a separate hearing/committee). That being said, there seems to be a lot of speaking out of order. Additionally, when people are asked to withdraw their statements, they have 2 choices: withdraw the statement unconditionally, or leave the chambers. If they feel that they were being asked to withdraw a statement that they do not believe is against the rules, then they can follow up afterwards in a rules committee. There are processes and procedures to be followed in government, and there seems to be quite a bit of disregard towards the processes and procedures.
Our government likes hiding behind rules drafted by colonialists, rules can always be challenged in a democratic setting, government ministers are stealing our money, when they're questioned they hide behind "honorable" rules.
