    Imagine how the entire orchestra felt. They likely never get that type of feedback from an audience. It had to be mind blowing.

    I love hearing you compliment Oli's voice, this was around the time where his voice was at it's worst, you can hear it in some of the screams where he can't really sustain the note. Bmth started as a grindcore band and Oli didn't know how to growl without hurting his vocal chords so he completely ruined them. His voice has really recovered in the last few years and it sounds better than ever now, you especially hear it if you listen to a track from their newest EP

    • @PKMetalGames
      @PKMetalGames Před 3 lety +9

      Growling is definitely an artform when it comes to singing. You def gotta train and condition your vocal chords to be able to pull it off. It's one of those things that takes time to perfect.

      Oli sounds fucking incredible on the studio recording, especially at the end of the second verse -- that scream before the second chorus is unbelievable. You can tell it's probably not _good_ for him, but honestly that kind of fits in with the theme of the song.

    So psyched you're getting into these dudes. I really think more people that are into rap and hiphop can appreciate stuff like rock and metal. At the end of the day, a lot of music is written about the struggles that people go through, and while rap's method is just straight spitting bars, telling it how it is and using the truth to tell the story, metal/rock uses melodies, lyrics, and the instruments to tell a story, and then screams to convey that pure raw anger, sadness, emotion etc.
    That's why bands like Falling in Reverse and the talents Ronnie Radke has work so well together. He uses EVERYTHING to tell those stories, and it works so well. BMTH has been killing it for like a decade though, and there are tons of people who have no clue.

    I especially felt close to this song because I tried to take my own life and I didn’t succeed thank god, but the line “I thought I sold my soul but he kept the receipt” was like I tried to do but there no room for cheats like he says there I couldn’t cause it wasn’t my time. And this song help me so much to go through this…. So emotional…
