My 17 year old starting using with bat attachment. We definitely like how its helped his timing. I use one zip tie in addition to the straps on the bat attachment. Luckely, one evening we were at back and it broke loose into the crape myrtle. No damage. If we were inside, would have been destroyed.
How do you get the virtual bat and the actual bat to look the same with the same angles?? Is there a calibration in the program somewhere?? My virtual bat is at a weird angle when compared to my real bat.
We just got the Meta quest this week and started using Win Reality any chance you could hook up up with a quick start demo how to connect the Diamond kinetic’s? And maybe a few pointers or recommendations on drills you use?
I think this is a great tool for repetition, timing, and seeing different types of pitches. Learning to slow the game down mentally is a unique quality many elite players have in every sport. Unfortunately, at 10u most kids are throwing fastballs and will evolve into throwing different variations as they move up in age. He’s less likely to seeing those other pitches now. If your son has issues with his form then this will not help. I’d recommend going to a batting cage and have a few sessions with a hitting coach to work those things out first. You don’t want to just use this alone and build upon bad habits. Another thing is to just get as many reps he can in a day. It can be as simple as hitting 2-300 times off a tee or soft toss into a net. My son also likes to record his swing and compares it to slow-mo videos of Bryce Harper and Mookie Betts. He uses that to tweak his swing to approach hitting more effectively. My son is on the smaller side of 10u but is the most consistent hitter on his team. He doesn’t hit dingers but usually hit balls up the middle or opposite field for doubles and triples. Hasn’t struck out in over 50 at bats. Last strike out was a bad call, but whatever! 😂 Hope this helps.

Same here too just little grounders barely making it to the out field, not even a pop up it is literally the same hit in different directions😂
