The best thing about this silly crap is the rock music at 1:24:12
The best music choice when they are in danger, they put action rock music instead of ominous doom music.
That was bloody awful. The rockabilly at 55:39 wasn't bad, though.
The story (words spoken by all) was very good. The actors/actresses were absolutely horrible. Again, the dialogue was great, with a touch of 'humor (?)'. Remove that damn 'music', replace the people and you might have a better rating. :ie 4 out of 5 vs -1 out of 5.

I wouldn't have put a preview for the movie you're about to watch just before the movie you're about to watch, but it does prepare you for what kind of movie it is.

I am amused. It's enjoyable as long as you don't expect it to be groundbreaking or serious.
Highlights and Notes (for those who have already watched, as it does spoil some exciting surprises this blockbuster has in store):
-Canadians are so polite that when threatening someone's life, they provide a complimentary coffin as a courtesy.
-Apparently, when receiving said coffin, it would be considered too impolite to question the actual contents. Best just to leave it closed, assuming criminals wouldn't lead you astray, and bury it immediately so as not to upset the townsfolk with news of foul play. And then eliminate yourself from the equation so as to avoid inconveniencing the perpetrators with any threat of justice.
-I lol'd when the P.I. said the kidnapper was released from jail and started a country music band. Then I heard it and wondered if Canadians really think that's country music. I figure not, it's probably just because this movie is absurd. The music is rockabilly.
-While the movie is absurd, it is clearly aware of its own absurdity, at least in certain scenes, and perhaps even in entirety. Surely, it had to be obvious. Maybe.
-I totally thought the girl was going to be revealed to have become the guy who was hanging out in the back room at the scrapyard. It really seemed like the movie was trying to make the viewer's mind go there. And that kid's nose went on for miles, and that dude's nose looked similar. (Or would it be kilometers in Canada?)
-I especially like the respectful cut that was made so we wouldn't have to see our hero being assaulted with what I can only guess is a can of Old El Paso brand refried beans.
-Whether she's 10 or 19, Dolly seems to operate on the level of a 3-year-old for the sake of simplicity in the screenwriting process. She magically snaps out of this at the end of the movie and becomes the brains of the operation when no one else can figure out how to be a socially functioning adult. She has to have her moment to shine so the audience knows she'll go on to lead a normal life and we are, indeed, looking at a happy ending.
-We can now rejoice as our hero also enjoys his happy ending with the "Are you real?" woman. I suspect the closing limo scene dialogue is improvised, as it appears and sounds natural and silly in comparison to the unnatural and silly scripted performance we've been facepalming about for the previous hour and a half.
