If you look at this a certain way it looks like a shadow of someone holding something in their hand.this is not the first time I’ve seen flukes like this on tables .there’s one on my instagram and you can see 3 different faces in the wood and a dogs face it’s crazy .this is a bit different coz he’s put them there that way ,I don’t think he saw it when he was positioning the slabs .nice work as well .just to add on that shadow .it almost looks like their half jumping in mid air .lol

after applying varnish , did you protect the surface from dust or buffed the surface ? was that last coat of varnish ..?

semi-gloss varnish is not polished. it was the last layer

Amazing work. I assume the wood is walnut? Do you normally stain walnut or was that at the client's request? I prefer an oil finish...Osmo if you like sheen or rubio if you like more protection
