What are your thought on smeding? Heard both good and bad, I’m getting a similar size s400 and considered smeding but wasn’t sure.

I subscribed to your channel. keep it real and don't try too hard like most other youtubers. seems like you know your stuff on diesel stuff; cummins, duramax and powerstroke/international. thats why I'm subscribing. I work at a diesel performance shop in BC canada so I work on this stuff every day, but it's my passion and I love it, even after hours. Also, TIG that pipe dude you got it.
I timed your 35-80 in about 8.4 seconds. I timed my 35-80 on my stock turbo injectors manual truck and it was 14.2. I think I might buy this turbo lol.
I used a hx40 downpipe and got a flange and v-band off eBay for $30 it was already machined to slip over the downpipe on my second gen swap on my 08 6.7
Compounds are the only way to go on the older 5.9 that's what I did to my 96. I have a lower stall converter. With just my single 63mm turbo the truck didn't like it.

Running 6x0.013s, sovp, Quadzilla and a 467.7/.83/.90 on my rig with a 2300 stall. Love the way it drives and spools better than i thought it would!

Awesome video man. That’s gonna be a tough turbo to make a VP truck happy with. On my 24v vp44 I just bought a 62mm HX super 9 I have 150hp PDD injectors and JWA 5x6 and she lights quick and is Capable of making 600+hp which is all the VP is gonna give you anyways AT BEST so i say sell it and buy an HX super 9 62mm or 67mm that HE351 turbine housing keeps the bottom end torque and low rpm spool great and still makes all the power these trucks can put out with a VP44 IMO. All HXsuper 9s will come with a milled out turbine housing to fit a 67mm turbine. And they are usually spring gated like mine is which is much better for these trucks no boost pressure to gate it only drive pressure 👍🏻
you must be uneducated because there are MANY 700hp vp trucks using just an SO pump.. let alone monster mike pumps and scheid stage 2 pumps that are capable of well over 1000 on fuel only and has been done many times… these vps aren’t bad like everyone makes them and have tons of potential just have to be selective with your parts
@@andrewwalter3049 no I’m not uneducated I know everything you just spoke of but I was talking about the STOCK VP.. for a stock VP44 the most your gonna get is 500-600hp on a REAL dyno. Don’t be a Dick just ask if you weren’t sure what I meant. Go watch my channel and you’ll see I’m not an idiot
PS. I don’t really remember this video as I watched it a long time ago but I was under the impression he had a stock VP pump which is why I said what I said.. if I knew he had a modified pump then I wouldn’t have been speaking about what the stock pump could do for power
I have seen VP trucks make 1,000hp on a dyno before with the scheid and MM pump.. just your average VP truck owner is not gonna go that rout so I was speaking to the most power you could get out of the factory (Unmodified) pump. In which case what I said was 100% accurate
@@BiffsEquipment you were not accurate as the SO vp has made over 700-750 before.. the SO makes damn good power, the HO will get you in that 550 range. The vps are actually easy to make good power with

you'll get there. i drive a so vp44 7x.012 ejwa level 6. with low boost fueling on 1. s472 t4 .91 housing can drive it smoke free all day. just takes a min to learn how to drive it

To laggy and Smokey, you can’t tow with that. Maybe if your in a flat state and have a small trailer. It will never pull a 12k lbs trailer over any mountains. The only thing that is good for is doing a brake stand and taking 5 min to spool and then doing a smokey when it finally lights.
I have an s464, 275% injectors, sheids stage 2 vp, springs/rods, and no tune. It’s about 650 hp
Is the stage 2 vp worth it? I currently have a s366-71.80ar and it needs mkre fuel even with 6x.016 injectors. I was thinkin maybe this pump.

I have a low stall in mine with a 67/67 HX and it sucks ass
Iv got a 62-67-9 HX super 9 on my VP 24v the thing kicks ass I love it. Best all around turbo for these trucks IMO for 500-600hp
