    That was actually a really cool video. I’m sure you know this but practice makes “perfect”. Don’t beat yourself up too much. You have to fail to learn! Keep the videos coming!!

    team label everything for life. as an RA in a neuro lab, so much of this is relatable, especially having to backtrack to another building to get my backpack

      What exactly do you do in a neuro lab? I'm thinking about going into neuroscience as a career

      @@FrankyMarquez-sb9ni I’m not in neurolab so I know that it’s a large research field. There are so many areas you can focus in. For example, J work in physiology but we focus on metabolism :)

    I loved this video! I go to a research-based university and unlike most of my peers, I have NO lab experience. I'm trying to get more involved with research on campus. This video definitely motivated me a bit more and honestly is making me even more excited to get into a lab!

    I am a senior biology major in florida. I am currently looking for a research assistant position but I dont know how to grab the recruiters attention. I have been rejected from a few research places. Could you share some tips???

      And thank YOU for watching!
      If you are currently a biology major, try talking to your professors first. Many professors have research labs or know someone who has a research lab.
      It’s important to read about each professor’s studies before deciding on one. Every professor is looking for something different, so I can’t exactly say what would help you. For me, my experience as a mentor and in customer service was interesting to my professor. I’m also premed and he likes to train students. It all depends on the professor. Just keep trying and don’t feel discouraged. Good luck!

    • @brialeixx
      @brialeixx  Před 2 měsíci

      For my specific position, they required a Bachelor of Science in Biology or Chemistry. No other certification was required. I will say though that all positions are different! Good luck!!

    This was helpful video to me! I’m currently high school students who is interested in becoming researchers but I’m not that good at bio… so im scared if I can do it well…. could u plz give me an advice??

    • @brialeixx
      @brialeixx  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hi!! I’m glad you found the video helpful! You don’t have to be good at bio necessarily to be a researcher, you just have to be willing to learn. I can’t speak for all labs, but in my lab, I learned a lot just being on the job.
      My professor teaches us some biology as we are learning research techniques. And when you go to graduate school for research, they’ll teach you everything you need to know!
