- Dassault Aviation has gone public with plans for its latest Falcon business jet. In a live presentation from its hangar at Paris Le Bourget Airport, the French company used virtual reality to unveil what will be the ultra-long-range Falcon 10X.
The largest Falcon built to date will challenge intercontinental rivals like the Bombardier Global 7500 and the Gulfstream G700 with a range of 7,500 nm when it enters service in 2025. All three are priced at around 75 million dollars.
Dassault CEO Éric Trappier had the honor of officially naming the new Falcon, which has been secretly in development under the code name NX. He was the first to confirm some of the main features of the new design, including Dassault’s first-ever use of Rolls-Royce engines. And he hinted that there could be more to come.

About time Gulfstream and Bombardier had serious competition.
Bombardier may have some good designs but the company is a complete shit show.
This is a game changer, range with volume.
It’s all about brand I mean bombardier also does 7500 miles and I think 78 I mean you have to reas the fine print description and plus those other brands been in the business for a while and they know safety and they also custom make for costumers. So I don’t really see competition other then costumers choice .
Not rly lol
By the time 10x is out, g750 and global 8500 is probably already on their way
@@tp5487 both the G800 and the Global 8000 have been unveiled. The G800 and Global 8000 each have ~8,000 nmi range but the cabins look cramped compared to a Falcon 10x.
And on a 7500-8000 nmi journey, you might want to take a break and stretch out your legs anyway, while the plane refuels.
I loved how at the end of the video he says we have pandemics and it’s always better to fly safe in a business jet. Wow really I’m sold. Until I heard the pandemic line I wasn’t sure I needed a business jet.
If your dumb enough to believe the pandemic is real, go ahead and buy this puddle jumper and I've got some beach front property for you to enjoy being far far away from intelligent humans🤣🤣🤣
Yeah that's typical salesman bs** take every excuse & spin things to present in favor of their product. Fair games.
I guess I'm kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good site to watch newly released tv shows online ?
@Lane Musa Flixportal xD
@Dwayne Phoenix Thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I really appreciate it !!
A very unique technology and engineering of France ...❣️
Falcon 10X is the definition of fine art in motion. Can't wait to get on one.
Youll have to wait quite a while... we havent even finished the cabinets or interior for the first one yet. Were still working legacy birds
Dassault makes the best looking business jets.
@kajuken Berli Yeah, the G7 still looks great to me as well.
I saw a customized 7500 interior by far when the owners pick the customs it’s way nicer. The matte black piano. The all white seats… the black suede carpet…. It’s perfect
@kajuken Berli most can’t be filmed as they are owner custom. it’s just a superior aircraft. I was blown away by the little things and the finishes. I’m suppose to try the g700 in a few months excited. But the 650er is not a fair comparison as it’s an older aircraft
Yes Brown bisness
Bombardier 7500 - лучше 🤘🤘😎
USD 75 Million represents great value for money, stunning plane
pardon my french, but this is fucking amazing 🤯
This will be a hit with the Air Charter firms. The timing is perfect too as ultra long range business travel is on the cusp of recovery. On another note, I like how they featured Pago Pago in the range map from NYC. A tropical retreat for the weary board of directors.
Ah, nothing like the smell tuna canneries to make the weary board members know they are in a tropical paradise!
Amazing airplane ! Bravo Dassault Aviation
Beautiful and Amazing. Well done!
it doesn't quite feel like a falcon without the crosstail
thats what i was thinking...was hoping to see a video of a new little falcon 10
It doesn't feel like a Falcon without three engines
@@stanleymasterson1135 I agree, but they must keep up with the times to remain competitive. Three engines was just too expensive to maintain!
@@stanleymasterson1135 Falcon 10/100, Falcon 20/200/20-5, Falcon 2000 Falcon 6X and the 10X all twin engine. Dassault has had more series with twin engines than with 3.
French took it to another level 👍🏼👌🏼
Explain.
Thank for your work ..
Proud to say i was part of the engine EBU team. 👍🏻
Wonderfull Work ! So much new and perfect technologies..
I LOVE to work on Falcons over any other business jet. C-Checks are my favorite.
MrStroller4u are you an avionics engineer?🤔
Wow these planes are keep motivating me work hard and one day I'll bought them😘😘😘😘
Those interiors are stunning.
Beautiful
Really like the new design of the seats.
It’s something we’ll never achieve but great video to watch
Thank you
We need this in Microsoft Flight Simulator asap!
Stunning
*Vive la France* 🇫🇷😌
What a beauty!
Now that’s sick. -Someday I’ll make sure to get one-
Enjoy the flights and wonderful memories.
Wow this is great man a new falcon with all the latest tech the competition is in real trouble
Amazing!
I hope that the recovery mode system will set a new standard in aviation and will not end up being a new version of MCAS.
Recovery mode is activated by the pilots so it shouldn’t be a problem
Awesome jet! Could also serve as inspiration for a 23-33 seat regional jet.....but...
Very nice indeed!
Really stunning
Tres jolie !
Bravo Dassault beautiful elegant functional winner
Gulfstream : I can never be challenged
Falcon 10x : hold my beer 🍺
Except both Gulfstream and Global are 13+ passenger aircraft and the X10 is only a 4 passenger airplane all are plus crew of three. They all have a range of 7500 nautical miles and the price is the same for all of them. If I bought one the number of passengers would be a big part of which one I chose.
@@ricmcgre 4 passengers ?? I think there is a big issue with your number, try again...
Richard McGregor it can accomodate 8 pax + 4 crew
The cabin dimensions is also way above the gulfstream and Bombardier
The Falcon 10X will surely be able to accommodate more than 8 pax, but those were the specs provided for the given range, because of the weight that additional passengers add. The competitors will have similar restrictions on passenger capacity to reach the maximum range. Thanks for watching!
I’ll stick with Gulfstream lol
Obrigado por mostrar 🙆🏿♂️👀💰🇧🇷
Хорошо, очень хорошо! Спасибо за видео:).
Only one drawback: It is sadly not a trijet.
The trijet's time has passed. Falcon needed a competitive product and that means two engines, two big engines. Finally, they seem to be offering speed and range on par with the other manufactures. You can still buy a 900LX or 7/8X if you insist on a three engine aircraft.
@@Av8ing12 Unfortunately you are right, but still I found it always astounding that The 7x/8x delivered a better fuel burn than competitive models using 2 engines.
@@nalamobil yeah me too, trijet looks better... stands out.
@@nalamobil I think we'll see that the new RR engines will be as fuel efficient, if not more so.
@@Puzzoozoo Would you love to engage in a more profitable business that won't affect your job... But could benefit you weekly?

Looks great 👍🏻
A much needed aircraft in the Dassault line up . A game changer.
@Steven Strain Would you love to engage in a more profitable business that won't affect your job... But could benefit you weekly?
@Steven Strain But I'll take a Rolls or a Bentley!!
@Steven Strain Yup... but I'll still take a Rolls or Bentley, LOL!!
@@georgeandy6923 and I will take a Ford or Toyota 🙂
This will be a great aircraft.
Dassault is giving Bombardier and Gulfstream a run for it's money, especially with this
So I was ordering a global 7500 but now switching to this 😂😂😂
2022 is a long wait
I need to test fly in that one, so I tell you for sure !
Like from 🇧🇷❤✈!!
A Dassault’s Falcon series aircraft should have a 3x engine setup! That's what makes them so unique and gives that 3 engine feeling of security knowing you have a backup if another goes bad. But I suppose it's more to break and more to go wrong. But still, hard imagining a Falcon with only 2 engines.
Parabéns felicidades 🇧🇷🙇🏿♂️
Beauty
Love it
Nice looking jet
Awesome
I'm curious to know whether the 10X will have the same performance as the 8X in relation to takeoff & landing distances. I personally think the short takeoff & landing distances of the 8X was a great selling feature for the aircraft. If they can incorporate the existing performance of the 8X & combine it with the size & ULR or the 10X, then I think they'll definitely be onto a winner.
Edit: from looking up the specs, the landing distance of the Falcon 8X is 2,150 feet, the landing distance of the Falcon 10X is 2,500 feet (which is the same as the Gulfstream G700), & the landing distance of the Bombardier Global 7500 is 2,450 feet. So with the new Falcon 10X being a direct competitor to Gulfstream's G700 & Bombardier's Global 7500, the Global 7500 is the winner in landing distance.
7500 sucks ass
8x is significantly smaller than the 10x , 80 feet versus 110 feet, lighter max takeoff 73,000 lbs versus 115,000 lbs. range is 1,000 nm less. Why are you bothering to compare them. As for G700, Global 7500 versus 10x landing distance… all the same. 50 feet difference…. nothing. Do you really think people spending $75 million US on a private jet will give a damn about a 50 foot difference in landing distance.
@@foxxster3565, first of all there is no need to have an argumentative tone my friend. Secondly, it is my understanding (& please correct me if I am wrong) the Falcon 8X has better takeoff & landing capabilities in comparison to other aircraft of comparable size & weight. With that in mind, I thought Dassault might've been able to also bring better takeoff & landing capabilities to the 10X in comparison to the G700 & Global 7500 (which are 2 aircrafts of comparable size & weight to the 10X).
Perhaps the better takeoff & landing capabilities of the 8X in comparison to other aircraft of comparable size & weight is due to the tri engine design. Perhaps the third engine provided enough extra thrust during takeoff (& extra reverse thrust during landing) to get it airborne in a shorter distance.
Well fair enough but 2,150 feet versus 2,500 feet for an aircraft significantly larger and heavier. Yes the Falcons do tend to have better landing performance but for a jet for this size I am not sure what you were exactly expecting, an additional 350 feet is not excessive for the additional weight. The three engines are each not particularly powerful, only around 6,700 pounds thrust each, or the total of all three jets on the 8x are barely more than the 18,000 pounds of each 10x engine. I guess the reason they went with two engines is size limitations of the three engine design, especially the middle engine. I doubt a larger diameter engine would fit. I think part of the short field performance might be the wing design, they seem to have slower landing speeds which obviously translates to less runway required.
@@foxxster3565, I agree that 2,150 feet vs 2,500 isn't a massive jump when considering the larger size & weight of the 10X (& it's direct competitors in the G700 & Global 7500). However I wasn't aware of the exact specs when I wrote the first paragraph of my original comment. My second paragraph (which I prefaced with the word "edit") was only added to my original comment as an edit after I went & looked up the specs, which is why there is a discrepancy between the first & second paragraph in my original comment.
Dassault Falcon 10x🤩😁. SOMEDAY😍
It looks like a commuter!
Might put this on the list, waiting for AMC squeeze to finalize.
Me too!!!
I like it.
Beautiful. Where is the 3rd engine?
I was wondering when Dassault was going to create a ULR plane.
Looking forward to it!
Would love to see on MSFS 2020
I'm watching the video right now, and this is exactly what I was thinking about.
I'm into long-range business jets, and this is exactly what I would go for. Sadly for now, the market has not opened enough on these products in FS.
@@YorranKlees I'm into it as well and it would be awesome ...we can only hope we will get some some day... I hardly have time to sim anymore ..kids and wife lol....I think I may even try flight Simulator X there's a youtuber that does the reenactments of crashes and he uses X alot his stuff looks great in 4k 60Fps
Liking.the 8x better. Liking the recovery button. Need more information on the throttle system.
Does it have cupholders though?
ergonomic cockpit chairs. Should be in the lounge areas too. 18.5.21
Finally, Dassault has come out with something that can rival Gulfstream & Bombardier.
Yea, well this ain’t it. Think about, the company that sold 7 airplanes last year competing against Gulfstream. Now that’s funny. Go ahead and buy an airplane from a company like that. It won’t end well.
@@whalerlife53 Their official release states 34 Falcon for 2020.
@@smartcatcollarproject5699 you are correct, they delivered that many. I was off on my number. They sold 15 airplanes in 2020. That’s still abysmal numbers from a competitive standpoint.
the 7X/8X rivaled the G600/650. The Falcon 900 series rivaled the G450 series
Does anyone know who will be supplying the landing gear? Heroux-Devtek got the F6X gear. Also the thrust reverser actuation system? Collins won F6X. So maybe these suppliers are in a good position for the 10X.
yess
I will buy this
Falcon❤️✈️
I thought G700 was real deal but this OMG
Why am I watching this. This plane is nicer than my house, and my house can only move as fast as the tectonic plate will take me
Please how many hours can it fly nonstop…. Kudos falcon
Por gentileza, me mandem cinco desses para 2022.
For its longer range and luxurious interior design, now I will select Falcon 10x over Gulfstream G700 or BG 7500. But where is third engine which make Dassault unique from the other business jets?
Красивый самолёт.
with around 20 million dollar/ a third of this jet's price, you can get a 40 meter superyacht with a lot of watertoys like, jet skis, sea bob, etc
It's worth the money.
I'm deeply disappointed that they didn't opt for a tri-jet, that is after all their unique selling point.
It's cheaper maintaining 2 engines than 3
@@osaroosayande2666 They're much more efficient, leading to overall costs being around the same. But even if it were to cost more, it would go fairly unnoticed at this level... What's an extra $100K a year when your already spending in the millions, especially when it brings such peace of mind when crossing oceans, etc
@@JB-so5gr trijet are not that economical. This is why the McDonald Douglas Trijet eventually failed and led to their bankruptcy. Customers prefer less ,more engine equals more expense in the future. For example it's cheaper to for two kids than 3 😂🤣
It had to ditch the 3rd engine for speed. It just wasn't possible aerodynamically.
To build an ULR aircraft of this size, fuel efficiency is paramount. You simply will get better fuel efficiency from a twin engine design rather than a tri engine design. It is the same reason the commercial airline industry is moving away from 4 engine designs (like the 747) & opting instead for long haul twin engine designs like the Boeing 777X & Airbus A350.
Zis is very interesting.....
Waw bery god jhet lendings 👍
SFO/LAX to Singapore a no go. Still think this is the most amazing Biz jet and at my height of 6'6" . I love this plane.

Once again Dassault is playing catch up the same thing happened in the early 90’s when they scrapped what become the falcon 7X decades later. Dassault didn’t think there was a market for a 5000nm jet when Gulfstream proposed the G5. Well that was a success and then came the Global Express. G550 Global 6000 and finally the Falcon 7X. I’m glad to see that Dassault is going to make a 7500 nm business jet. I loved my years flying the 2000LXS. Hopefully the crew lav and rest compartment will be bigger then the 8X.
Are those seats just for this presentation or are they going to be used in the real jet as well? They look cool but probably aren’t the most comfortable to be sat on, from what they look like. You can’t have a leg support because of the rounded base or a flat bed because of the tapering seat back. Hopefully this is just for the sake of the presentation.
But love the jet regardless
will this plane create like wind drag
New York to Bengaluru.. ✈️
Will be 2 engine instead of 3 engine?
How do those chairs lay down to make a sleeping area like the other seats on jets
Humidity is a huge problem. Airbus has one about to be released that will destroy the competition. Good luck guys.
