I think we can be our own guru. We are god .
Thank you very much for uploading this divine footage🌹🌹
Millions of people will have to figure out their own enlightenment without a "guru". We have to find the right teachings to reach such goal. Who will give you your own Mantra? God within.
@@vajraloka1 Gurumayi, Dali Lama, and others will always be with us. The names will change but their purpose will continue. Tuning in within, all of us can go beyond our egos to realize the oneness of everything within and without. Meditation opens doors of consciousness creating a view life differently, joyously living again.
I grew up in the 70's and 80's and met many of them, because they were so available. They were treasured experiences. I remember paying special attention to everything that they did, their eye movement, their walk, how they treated myself and those around me, especially their pauses and not only what they said, but how they said it and how I interpreted what they had to say. I paid particular attention to everything about them. They are special and a few moments with them stay with you for the rest of your life.
I met Baba Muktananda, briefly in 1979. I just gazed into his eyes, and got a clean message. It molded my life for the next 40 years.
But, particularly with Bab Muktananda as opposed to others, he was a "wild child." His ashram in South Fallsburg, New York, was a lot of fun. He cooked for us the morning breakfast. It was a gruel with way too much spice, like 10 alarm fire hot, for breakfast. And he moved about like half monkey and half child and was dressed in a beautiful golden-yellow robe and he hit you with a peacock feather and poked your eyes out with his fingers. The people in the ashram were fun. They were all imperfects like myself, giving up vices. In the lobby there was a huge glass enclosure tank with a slot to throw in your vices before spending your time in the ashram. I threw in my cigarettes but kept a few for my ride back home. But in the vat were guns, knives, water pipes, gongs, weed, dope, pills of every description. So, we were all clean during the time we were with him.
Odd thing to say, I was only 19 back then, but I really had a sense of true joy and fun that I seldom experienced again in my life. I remember going back home and my mother was upset about life and my sister and the mantra "Om Mamah Shivaya" was still reverberating in me from the ashram, and I remember calming my mother down and having compassion for her pain and watching the nonsensicalness of worry as an illusion and her pain disappeared. Another time she was sick and I remember chanting "jyota se jyota" and she told me that she was much better and could go to work again.
He was a magical little guy, full of fun and shananigans. I could see why Ram Dass is so lit up around him. Ram Dass, from the Neem Karoli Baba culture, really knew what it was like to hang around a guru.
Other teachers were more strict and taught discipline. They made you work pretty hard on yourself. Sometimes so hard that I don't really care to remember those days. I guess sadhana can really be a tough trip when you are mired in maya.
@@angeloiodice9304 wht a wonderful share. so nicely said.

@@bluewaters2231 Thank you. I am out of the country for a while. But, I remember Gurumayi interpreting everything Baba Muktananda said. She was so young, radiant, unbelievably beautiful and intelligent, and ABSOLUTELY SELFLESS. Everybody loved her so much.
Back in the 70's in that ashram, I can never adequately describe the magic of the blessings of Muktananda and Nityananda. It was a far more intense experience than being in ashrams in India. The seclusion and unity of the congregants in alinement with Muktananda was like one powerful river, rolling powerfully towards the ocean.
Everybody was light, happy, joyous and free. I could not detect even a smidgeon of vanity or acrimony. All disciples were happy to help each other. We were floating.
Muktananda's spirit was so powerful and happy. He was very, very, very generous in how he made himself available to us.
Thank you and be very well. Guru's Blessings.
Thanks for sharing with us. To hear Baba's voice thrills me and brings a smile to my day.
I think Ram Dass here was high AF hahaha 💕
I was the same apartment as the Shivabala Yogi when he was meditating in another room. All we could do was sit and go into meditation ourselves.

Ram Dass
Ram Das and Muktanada goofing together...LOL
He's no Jesus, Jesus came to this earth and spoke truth to power and the people. He certainly didn't do it for his ego.
How sects work on people is amazing. The guy with shiny glasses is telling you that without him you cant reach God, and that he will reshape your mind to help you.... That is so alarming.
Muktananda has had so many sex scandals, hundreds of young girls have voiced up.
If anyone tells you he is the way to God and you need specifically him to reach Him - he is lying.
guru means spiritual guide in life this could be a set of values taught by some sentences, a person, animal etc. I do agree it would be fishy if that guy said he was the only way someone could learn spiritually in life but I didn’t hear this guy say it. A guru helps you become disciplined e.g. the value of being truthful all the time taught by a sentence so I think a guru would help u out of bad habits. Everyone should find there own way in life which is true to them and find a way of learning to be a good person. If one guru seriously doesn’t work for u at all in the slightest I guess u could change your spiritual path.
Can you name or point to any of the young girls you say he had sex with? Correct understanding may help you. The Guru he is ultimately refering to is the spiritual pulse at the core of your being. I spent 10 years in Swami Muktananda's company and have a bit of an insight into what actually happened and what he is speaking about.
@@geoffreycantor5127 correct level of information may help you... The fact nothing happened to you does not mean that nothing happened to anyone else... Specially if you are a man, since sexual abuse was orientated against women.
Shame on you .how dare you you stipid your blame is only your bad imagination.

I enjoyed the Ram Das cameo 🤗
Wow, that was sweet. 😊
It was my good fortune that on the day I first met Baba, on my way out the ashram in Waltham, I turned around and bumped right into him. Baba truly was the wish fulfilling gem. I had always wanted to meet Ram Das, but was stunned into wide-eyed silence when I did. He smiled at me, embraced me in a big bear hug and told me I was beautiful. I think this was the day Baba took him flying.
