@@liamcannon9617 come on man, they both had harsh words for each other as young players, and as soon as they got a little older, leaved all that behind. Even in the video you can watch Delpo congratulating Andy after winning a title and handshaking with 0 hard feelings. And Murray himself talked with praise about Delpo, many times.

Man he’s such a champ it’s such a shame injury has held him back but he should be proud of all he’s accomplished and the way he’s come back so many times .
If this guy was injury free in his career i'm certain he would be part of the big 4. He always made them go to the extreme's to even beat this guy. I will really miss this guy. The gentle giant.
That's what I fail to understand is how most of the times, the big 3 were almost always injury-free. Do they have better doctors or what?

Gonna really miss Delpo... He was about the only player who could stand up to Federer and Nadal during their 2017-2018 resurgence. He played some incredible matches despite his injuries and has always been a humble and entertaining champion. Have a great retirement Delpo!!!

Del Potro and Safin speaking in Spanish is so interesting. Delpo said to Safin "estaba más nervioso que vos". I think Safin trained in Valencia for several years and thats why he speaks Spanish perefectly.
Safin habla muy bien en español y, de hecho, hasta tiene algún rastro de acento argentino porque es muy amigo de jugadores nuestros, compartió mucho tiempo tanto en el tour como en España y ha venido bastante de visita acá.

What he has achieved, no one has achieved. That is Friendship with all tennis players and love from all tennis lovers. He is the ONLY man who achieved these two slams.

I will miss Delpo and his good spirits, his thundering forehand and fun! I saw him play Nadal at RG semifinals, despite his size he was so good on clay as well, he did everything he could, he knew that day his chances were zero, but put up the fight nevertheless, would not dissapoint the fans! Such a character!

I saw Juan Martin walking around the grounds of the DC tournament in the mid-00's when he was an up-and-coming player, not yet famous but known to knowledgeable fans. Such a nice and friendly man. He stopped and took pics and signed autographs with a big smile on his face for anyone who asked. I'm so glad he got his slam. It's too bad injuries cut his career and accomplishments short. It was really only he and Stan and Andy Murray that could legitimately beat the Big Three in their prime, particularly in big matches. Congrats on a great career Delpo!

- for those of you who don´t know it was reported that delpo´s father mishandled his fortune of 30million and now he´s left with about 10% of that and allegedly owes a lot of people, this was all discovered after his father died last year
Damn father. DelPo can't catch a break anywhere. Now, most of the millions he's earned, which would have been a nice retirement nest egg, is gone.
Same thing happened to Arantxa Sanchez Vicario, if I'm not mistaken.
I guess the #1 rule when you start making millions as a pro athlete is to not let family members handle your money. Get a reputable financial advisor.
